solidground.

Removethesmokeoutlet
fromthestoveandputit
awayinasafeplacesothat
itcannotbedamaged.
Step3.
Placetheplasticcoveron
theLumos.
Caution:TheLumosshould
notbewarmbecausethe
plasticcovercanthenbe
deformed.
Step4.
Carefullytiptheupperpart
ofthestovesothatthe
coverwillcometorestupon
theground.
Step5.
Thenplacethegrillandthe
preparationboard.
Step6.
TheLumosisnowreadyto
beused.

TheLumosusedasanoutdoorfireplace.
Step7.
Removethegrillandthe
preparationboard,and
carefullytipuptheupper
partofthestovetoshutit.
Ensurethereisnothingthat
couldhindershuttingthe
stove.Thiscouldcause
permanentdamage.
Step8.
Removetheplasticcover
andplacethesmokeoutlet
back.Thestoveisnow
readytobelit.
Step9.
Lightthestovewithpaper,
cardboardorfirelighters(if
youhavepreviously
barbecued,youmayput
somesmallerwoodonthe
coals).Stacklightly.When
thefirehasbeenburning
properlyforawhile,add
somelogsthataremore
solid.
Step10.
Afterusingthestove,whenit
hascompletelycooleddown,
youcanputthecoverbackon
thesmokeoutlet.Thiswill
keepanyrainfromgettinginto
yourstove.
Caution:Theplasticcovercan
deformwhenthestoveisstill
warm.

Afewtips
• Usedryandcleanwood.Thisalsoholdsforthekindlingpaperandcardboard.
• Makethefirealwaysonabedofash.Thisisaninsulatinglayerforthefireandan
excellentbedforthefuel.
• Removeexcessashesusingascoop.Neverremoveashesusingavacuumcleaner
becausefiremaystillcontinuetosmoulderfordays.
Maintenance
l. Youcancleanthestoveusinganonfibrousclothandleansoapsuds.Slightly
damagedspotscanbetouchedupusinganabrasiveclothandthespecialHarrie
Leendersstovepaint.Askyousupplierforadvice.
2. Itisadvisabletooilthehingeseachyearbeforethenewheatingseason.TheLumos
willthenopensmoothlyagain.
3. Keepthegrillandpreparationboardhygienicallyclean.Regularlyoilthepreparation
boardwithsaladoroliveoil(onbothsides).Thiswillpreventitfromdryingout.
