IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
For House hold use only
Thank you for buying Havells appliance. To enable
your product to give you many years of perfect trou-
ble free service, we recommend you to carefully fol-
low the instructions of the manual.When using elec-
trical appliances, basic precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
• Read and follow all the instructions in this “Use
And Care” even if you are familiar with the prod-
uct, and find a place to keep it handy for future
reference.
• Your attention is drawn particularly to the sec-
tions concerning “important instructions”, “for
Your Safety”, and the “warranty” and “service”
statements.
• This appliance is not intended for use by per-
sons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of ex-
perience or knowledge unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use
of appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Do not operate any product with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the product malfunctions,
or is dropped or appears damaged in any way.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
expose the product or flexible cord to rain,
moisture or any liquid other than those neces-
sary for correct operation of the product.
• This product should not be used in the
immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtub,
washbowls or any other vessel containing wa-

ter or other liquids, or when standing in/on a
damp or wet surface.
• Switch off the appliance or unplug it from the
outlet when not in use\before assembling or
disassembling its parts\before cleaning.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a
table, counter or touch hot surface.
• Do not use the appliance for other than its in-
tended use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when
switched on.
• Do not operate or place any part of the product
on or near any hot surfaces (such as a gas or
electric burner or hot plate or in a heated oven).
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a
table or bench.
• The use of attachments or accessories not rec-
ommended may cause personal or property
hazards or injuries.
• Avoid touching hot surface, use handles and
knobs.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself,
instead take it to the authorised Havells service
centre.
USE
HOW TO MAKE TOASTED SANDWICH/ GRILL
• Choose the plate which you want to use for
grilling/making sandwiches
• Before first use, wipe the surfaces of the plates
with damp cloth and dry it with paper towel.
Smear the plates with butter, margarine or
cooking oil.
• Plug the power cord into a power outlet.

• When the appliance is pluged into the pow-
er outlet, red light glows. Red light gradu-
ally changes to green light when the desired
temperature is obtained.
• Open the sandwich/grill maker, place a slice of
bread in the bottom half with the buttered side
against the plates.
• Fill the sandwich/grill, press the bread into the
plates. Do not overfill.
• Close the two parts of the
sandwich/grill maker carefully.
NOTE
Do not close it forcefully.
CAUTION
Steam may eject from the plates while
making sandwich/grill. Do not come in contact
with steel or hot metal plates.
• Always ensure to lock the sandwich maker
carefully while toasting/grilling.
NOTE
During toasting/grillling the indicator light will
cycle on and off while the thermostat keeps
the sandwich/grill maker at the correct
temperature.
• Your Sandwich/grill will be toasted/grilled in 2-3
minutes, or longer to suit your taste.
• Open the sandwich/grill maker and remove the
sandwich/grill using plastic or wooden spatula.
• Never use metal utensils as these may damage
the non-stick coating.
• Close the lid to preserve the heat until ready to
toast/grill the next sandwich.
• After toasting/grilling, remove the plug from the
power outlet and allow the appliance to cool
down.
• Always preheat before use. Plug the cord into the
power outlet while preparing the fillings.
• For soft sandwich fillings use medium sliced
bread, white or brown.
• Flavored butters may also be used.
NOTE
Suggested garnishes for sandwiches/grill are
lettuce, parsley, mint, cress, stuffed olives, onion,
tomato, etc.
AFTER USE
CARE OF YOUR PRODUCT
• After use and before cleaning, remove plug and
wait for sandwich/grill maker to cool.
• Wipe the inside and edges of the plates with
kitchen paper, absorbent paper towel or soft
cloth.
• If the filling is difficult to be removed, pour a little
cooking oil onto the plates. Wait for 5 minutes
untill the filling has softened & then wipe off.
• Wipe the outside with a slightly moistened cloth
ensuring that no moisture, oil or filling e n t e r s
the cooling slots.
• Do not clean the inside or outside surfaces with
any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this
will damage the finish.
CAUTION
Do not immerse the product in water or other
liquid.
Always operate the product in accordance with
the instructions.
WARRANTY
• Havells provides a Two year warranty for this
product from the date of purchase against-
manufacturing defect’(s) due to defective ma-
terials or workmanship. If the product become
defective within the warranty period,
Havells will repair, free of charge.
• The warranty provisions do not cover failure
due to accident, misuse, abuse, negligence
or non observation of local regulations on part
of the user. The warranty provisions do not ap-
ply where the appliance has been serviced by
a person not authorised by Havells or serviced
with non-approved parts thereby causing fur-
ther fault/damage to the product.
ENSURE FOR WARRANTY
• Retain the warranty card duly filled in and
stamped by authorised dealer along with
original invoice/cash memo.
