Operating Instructions:
Volume Control:
▪Press the ‘UP’ button to increase the volume and the ‘DWN’ button to reduce volume of
PA when the PTT switch is activated
▪Siren tone volume can be adjusted up or down if the microphone is connected to a
variable volume siren, and if the tone is assigned to ‘Button 1’ or ‘Button 2’

Public address (PA):
▪Move the slide switch to the down position, then press and hold the PTT button and
speak into the microphone
Speech Record & Playback Function:
▪Record a new message by moving the slide switch to the up position, then press and hold
the PTT switch and REC button at the same time and speak into the microphone. Note:
maximum record time is 20 seconds
▪The LED will light up red to indicate recording state. When the LED turns off the maximum
record time has been reached
▪Playback the recorded message by pressing and releasing the PLAY button. The message
will automatically repeat until playback is disabled. The LED will light red during playback

▪Press the PLAY button again to stop playback
Additional Function Buttons:
▪Button 1 in operation mode LED will light up green
▪Button 2 in operation mode LED will light up blue
▪LED colour is cyan when both buttons are selected in operation mode
▪Button 1 and Button 2 in operation mode with ‘REC’ or ‘PLAY’ LED will light up white
▪Button 1 in operation mode with ‘REC’ or ‘PLAY’ LED will light up yellow
▪Button 2 in operation mode with ‘REC’ or ‘PLAY’ LED will light up purple

CANbus Networking:
▪For CANbus networks a termination plug must be fitted as shown in Fig.1
▪For systems where more than one CANbus module is installed, the plug must be fitted to the last
module in the chain as shown in Fig.2
