CONSUMER WARRANTY
ENTIRE PRODUCT – LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
AGA MARVEL warrants the replacement or repair of all parts, of this appliance which prove to be defecve in material or workmanship,
with the excepon of the painted or porcelain enamel nish or plated surfaces, for one year from the date of original purchase. Such
parts will be repaired or replaced at the opon of Heartland without charge, subject to the terms and condions set out below.
The warranty period against defects in the painted or porcelain enamel nish, or plated surfaces, is 90 days from date of original purchase.
The warranty does not include replacement of oven lamps or charcoal lters.
OVEN & WARMING DRAWER ELEMENTS - LIMITED SECOND THROUGH THIRD YEAR WARRANTY
HEARTLAND warrants the oven heang elements against defects in material or workmanship for an addional two years. These parts
will be repaired or replaced at the opon of Heartland without charge, but you pay for labour and transportaon subject to the terms
and condions set out below.
SMOOTH TOPS / SURFACE ELEMENTS - LIMITED SECOND THROUGH FIFTH YEAR WARRANTY
HEARTLAND warrants the smooth cooktop and radiant solid heang elements against defects in material or workmanship only for
an addional four years. These will be repaired or replaced at the opon of Heartland without charge, but you pay for labour and
transportaon subject to the terms and condions set out below. Smooth cooktop will be replaced if it should: crack due to thermal
shock, discolor; or if the paern wears o. Radiant surface elements will be replaced should they burn out, under the terms and
condions set out in this warranty.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This warranty applies only for single family domesc use when the range has been properly installed according to the instrucons
supplied by Heartland and is connected to an adequate and proper ulity service. Damage due to faulty installaon, improper usage
and care (cookware le unaended), abuse, accident, re, ood, acts of God, commercial, business or rental use, and alteraon, or
the removal or defacing of the serial plate, cancels all obligaons of this warranty. Service during this warranty must be performed
by a factory Authorized Service Person.
2. Warranty applies to product only in the country in which it was purchased.
3. Heartland is not liable for any claims or damages resulng from any failure of the range or from service delays beyond their
reasonable control.
4. Heartland is not liable for damages to the smooth cooktop caused by the use of cleaners other than the recommended cleaning
creams specied in this owners manual; or damages caused by hardened spills of sugary materials that are not cleaned according
to the direcons in the owners manual or melted plascs or porcelain.
5. To obtain warranty service, the original purchaser must present the original Bill of Sale, Model and Serial number. Components
repaired or replaced are warranted through the remainder of the original warranty period only.
6. The warranty does not cover expense involved in making this appliance readily accessible for servicing.
7. This warranty gives you specic legal rights. Addional warranty rights may be provided by law in some areas.
8. Adjustments such as calibraons, levelling, ghtening of fasteners, or ulity connecons normally associated with original installaon
is the responsibility of the dealer or installer and not that of Heartland.
9. If the product is installed outside the normal service area, any cost of transportaon expenses (tolls, ferry trip charges, or
mileage expenses, etc.) involved in the repair of the product, or the replacement of a defecve part, shall be borne by the cus
tomer (owner).

1)Unscrewthe12screwsthatholdthecrateontotheskid.Thereare12alongthebottomand4alongthetop.
2)Afterthescrewshavebeenremoved,carefullyliftthecrateoverthestoveandsetitaside.
3)Nextwithapairoftinsipscutthebandingthatholdsthestoveintoplace.Cautionmetalbandingisundertension!
4)Carefullyremovethebanding,the2boardsthatwhereunderthebandingandthecardbordcapandstyrofoam.
5)Youarenowreadytoremovetherangefromtheskid
For30"unitshaveonepersonateachendstandbesidetheskidandcarefullylifttherangebythebottomskirt,anda
thirdpersonpulltheskidoutfromunderneaththerange.Slowlysettherangedownontheoor,bendingyouknee's
notyourback!
For48"unitsunitshaveonepersonateachendandoneside,standbesidetheskidandcarefullylifttherangebythe
bottomskirt,andafourthpersonpulltheskidoutfromunderneaththerange.Slowlysettherangedownontheoor,
bendingyourknee'snotyourback!

Theteonglidershouldextendbeyondthebottomofthelegbyapproximately
1/8"-1/4".Adjustinglevellingboltsintoofarwillcausethelegtodragonthe
oorpotentiallycausingdamagetoooring.(seegure1).Checkthatgliders
andoorarefreeofanydebris,thiswillensureyoudonotscratchyouroor.

Caution:DO NOT REST CLOSET CORNER BRACKETS ON GLASS, to prevent damage to glass top
-Lineupholesinthebottom(foot)ofthebracketwiththeholesinthestovetop,whileonepersonsupportsthe
closet,fastentheclosetbracketstothestovetopwithmachinescrews.
-Tofastenthesplashbacktotherearofstove,withtheModel6210use5sheetmetalscrewsandwashers.
For Model 8210 use 4 sheet metal screws and washers. To prevent chipping do not overtighten or use
power tools.

If you are not venting outside, attach the deector to the rear of cabinet with 4, sheet metal
screws. If you are venting outside, attach the 3 1/2" x 10" exhaust adaptor with 4, sheet
metal screws. Fasten your exhaust ducting to the adaptor.

Note: maximum run of ducting is 25 linear feet (subtract 5' per 90 deg elbow added
to the exhaust line and 2.5' per 45 deg elbow)

CONNECTING POWER TO THE CABINET
Plug the stove into wall receptacle.
Check all electrical functions of the
cabinet (fan,light, clock, etc.) and
check again that ALL screws have
been tightened before completeing the
installation.

After your exhaust hood has been installed the very last thing to do is to connect the multipin plug
to the range. The receptacle is located at the rear of the stove under the metal cover. Remove the
screw securing the cover to the back of the range and remove the cover. Remove the cable clamp
from the stove which is located just above the cover.

When installing the multi-pin plugs,
make sure the at sided pins are
aligned with at sided holes. Do not
force plug into receptacle.
Insert the 3 or 5 multi-pin plugs into
corresponding 3 or 5 pin receptacles.
Loop power cord on back and attach
power cord to stove back with cable
clamp and screw. Replace metal cover
with screw.

Positioning the Range
1. Whentherangeisfullyassembled,recheckallelectricalconnectionsespeciallybetweentheexhausthoodand
thebackoftherange.Aswell,checkthatallnutsandboltshavebeentightened.
2. Ensureteonglidersandooringareclean,(asdescribedonpage5under"Gliders").
3. Caution:Onooringwithveryroughsurfacesordeep,largegroovestheappliancemayhavetobeliftedand
slowly slid into position.
4. Putbothhandsonthetrimandcarefullypushtherangeintoplace,makesureoorisclearofalldebris.Don't
forget to plug in the main power cord and the exhaust hood power cable and test the operation of the
appliance, before the range is in it's nal position. See closet installation instructions.
5. Toleveltherange,simplyadjustthelevelling screwswithteonpadslocatedatthebottomofeachleg(the
onesyouassembledonpage5under"Gliders").Usinga5/16(8mm)openendwrenchturntheadjustingscrew
clockwisetoraiseupthecorner,andcounter-clockwisetolowerthecorner.(Don'tforgettheteonglidershould
extendbeyondthebottomofthelegbyapproximately1/8"-1/4")Ensuretheunitisperfectlylevel,orutensilsmay
falloffduringcooking.
6. Note: Onsoftkitchenooring,theweightofthestovemaycauseslightdepressionsintheooring.Whenthe
rangeisinpositionandlevelled,youmaywanttoplacecoastersundertheteonglidersofeachleg,toprotect
theoor.Removethecoasterswhenmovingtherangeforcleaningorservicing.

Installation Clearances
Iftherangemuststandbesidearefrigerator,itisimportant
forproperaircirculation,thattherebeatleastveinches
(125mm)ofspacebetweenthetwoappliances.
Donotinstallrangecloserthan1/2"(13mm)fromadjacent
surfaces.
Toeliminatetheriskofburnsorrebyreachingoverheated
surfaceunits,installationofclosetstoragespaceabovethe
surfaceunitsshouldbeavoided.Ifthereisexistingcloset
storagespacehaveatleast301/4"(768mm)ofclearance.
(seeg3).
For best cooking results, your range should be level.
Thiscanbecheckedwithacarpenter’slevelontopofthe
cooking surface and across the oven rack. If levelling is
required,adjustthelevellingscrewsunderoneormoreof
thelegs(see"PositioningtheRange"step5).

Exhaust Hood
Yourrangeisequippedwithavariablespeedrangehoodthatmaybeeitherventeddirectlytotheoutside,or
maybeinstalledventless.Anexhaustlterisincludedwithyourhood.Theltersshouldbecleanedperiodically
insoapywater.ExtrasareavailablefromyourdealerordirectlyfromHeartland.Pleaseorder4ormorelters
atonetimetosavefreightandhandlingcharges.
Ventless Installation
Yourunitisalreadysetupforventlessoperation.Cookingfumesaredrawnthroughtheltersandexhausted
throughtherearofthehood,backintotheroom.Installtheexhaustlterintheirlocationundertheclosetby
rstremovingthelightlens.Thenononeside,insertthelterintothegrooveandslideintoplace.

Removeairdeector(usedforventlessoperationonly).Cuta31/2x101/2(88.9mmx266.7mm)holethrough
thewalldirectlybehindtherangehoodoutlet(SeeFigure4.),makingsurenowallstudsarecut.Pushrangeinto
position.Fromoutsideofthehouse,measuredistancefromthesidingtotherangeoutlet.Cutductpipethatlength,
plus1”(25.4mm)foroverlapintooutlet.Attachventhoodtopipe.Caulkthebackofventhoodandaroundpipe
whereitgoesthroughwallandintorangehoodoutletsocaulkingsealsagainstoutsidesiding.
CompleteinstallationbyfollowingdirectionsunderVentlessInstallation.
Installation through an attic to an outside wall
Iftheventelbowsareembeddedinthewall,therangemaybepositionedasshowninFigure4.Continuetheduct
throughtheceilingintotheattic.Terminateducteitheronanoutsidewalljustbelowthesoftusingaventhood
orthroughtheroofwitharoofcap.Sealwithcaulkingaroundandundercaporhood.

Exhaust Hood Safety
Do not store items of interest to children in closet above the range or on top of range
closet. Children climbing on range to reach items could be seriously injured.
1. Cleanexhausthoodfrequently—greaseshouldnotbeallowedtoaccumulateonhoodorlter.
2. Iffoodscatchreunderthehood,turnthefanoff.Thefan,ifoperatingmayspreadtheame.
Radiant Top Burner Safety: Do not touch surface units or areas near units.
Surfaceunitsmaybehoteventhoughtheyareconcealed.Duringandafteruse,donottouch,orletclothingorother
ammablematerialscontactsurfaceunitsorareasnearunitsuntiltheyhavehadsufcienttimetocool.Alwayskeep
dishtowels,cloths,potholdersandotherlinensasafedistanceawayfromcooktop.
- Cooktopsurfacesneartheelementsincreaseintemperature,withthenumberofelementsthatareon.Areas near
surface units may become hot enough to cause burns.Alwayskeepcombustiblewallcoverings,curtainsordrapes
asafedistanceawayfromappliance.
- Useproperpansize—thisapplianceisequippedwithoneormoresurfaceunitsofdifferentsizes.Selectutensilshaving
atbottomslargeenoughtocoverthesurfaceunit-heatingelement.Theuseofundersizedutensilswillexposeaportion
oftheheatingelementtodirectcontactandmayresultinignitionofclothing.Properrelationshipofutensiltoburner

and supports left in the oven during self clean will become discoloured, but it will not affect the protective coating.

RECOMMENDED. For model 8210 30" range, the two right and front left surface elements will not be operational during
