BEFORE FIRST USE
Read and follow the instructions in this user manual even if you feel you are familiar with the
product, and find a place to keep it handy for future reference.
For your convenience record the complete model number (located on the product
identification plate) and the date you received the product, together with your purchase
receipt and attach to the warranty and service information. Retain in the event that warranty
service is required.
NOTE: The rating of this product (as marked on the product identification plate) is based on
specific loading tests. Normal use or the use of other recommended attachments may draw
significantly less power.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:

WARNING!: - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to persons or property:
1. Carefully read all instructions before use and save for future reference.
2. Remove and safely discard any packaging material before using the Rice Cooker for
the first time.
3. To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the
protective cover fitted to the power plug of this appliance.
4. Do not place the Rice Cooker near the edge of a bench or table during operation.
Ensure the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.
5. Do not use the Rice Cooker on a sink or drain bored.
6. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or where it could touch a heated
oven.
7. Position the Rice Cooker at a minimum distance of 20cm away from walls and
provide adequate space above, and all sides for air circulation.
8. Always operate the Rice Cooker on a stable and heat resistant surface.
9. Only use the cooking bowl supplied with this appliance. Do not use any other bowl
inside the housing. Do not use a damaged or dented removable cooking bowl. If
damaged or dented, replace the bowl before using.
10. Never plug in or switch on the Rice Cooker without having the removable cooking
bowl placed inside the housing.
11. Do not place food or liquid directly into the housing. Only the removable cooking bowl
is designed to contain food or liquid.
12. Never operate the Rice Cooker with food and liquid in the removable cooking bowl.
13. Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs and oven mitts to remove the lid.
Lift and remove the lid carefully to avoid scalding from escaping steam.
14. Do not allow water from the lid to drip into the housing, only into the removable
cooking bowl.
15. Always have the glass lid placed correctly into position on the Rice Cooker
throughout operation of the appliance.
16. The glass lid has been specially treated to make it stronger, more durable and safer
than ordinary glass, however it is not unbreakable. If struck extremely hard, it may

break or weaken and could at a later time shatter into many small pieces without
apparent cause.
17. Always ensure the power is switched off at the power outlet and the power cord is
unplugged from the power outlet before attempting to move the appliance, when not
in use and before cleaning or storing. Allow all parts to cool before disassembling for
cleaning.
18. Extreme caution is to be used when the appliance contains hot food and liquids. Do
not move the appliance during cooking.
19. The Rice Cooker is not to be operated by an external timer or separate remote
control system.
20. Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
21. Do not place anything, other than the lid, on top of the appliance.
22. Keep the appliance clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this user
manual.
23. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main body in water
or other liquids.
24. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
25. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
26. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
27. This appliance is for household use only. Do not use appliance for other than its
intended use. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats. Do not use outdoors. Misuse
may cause injury.
28. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or had been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorised service facility for examination or repair.
29. The use of other accessories not supplied by the manufacturer is not recommended.
30. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
31. This appliance must not be immersed in water.
32. If the supply cord is damaged, return the entire appliance to the nearest authorised
service centre for examination or repair.

PARTS AND FEATURES
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before using your rice cooker for the first time wash the non-stick removable cooking
pot, lid, measuring cup and serving spoon in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
2. Ensure that the exterior of the Rice Cooker is clean and dry, place the non-stick
cooking pot inside the Rice Cooker.
3. Using the measuring cup provided, measure out the quantity of rice.
4. Using a sieve, wash the rice thoroughly under cold water before cooking
(recommended, but not necessary). This removes excess starch which helps to
achieve fluffier rice. Ensure that the water runs clear and is not still milky.
5. Place the washed rice in the non-stick removable pot, and add the specified amount
of water.
6. Insert the plug into a power outlet and turn on the power supply.
7. Press the cook button to start cooking. Do not force the button, if it is not easily
pressed, it means that the inner pot is not inserted properly. The cook light will
illuminate.
8. Place the lid on the Rice Cooker whilst the rice is cooking. The switch will pop up
when the rice is done. Keep the lid on for 15 minutes on the warm setting after
cooking is complete to steam rice.
9. DO NOT use metal utensils, as these will scratch the non-stick coating. A plastic
spoon is supplied. DO NOT fill the rice cooker more than 70% capacity.

NOTE: During cooking do not remove the lid as this can affect cooking results. Do not
keep rice in the Rice Cooker for extended periods on ‘Warm’ as this can make the rice
dry out and deteriorate.
CARE AND CLEANING
After using your Rice Cooker, turn off the power supply and remove the plug from the power
outlet.
1. Remove the non-stick cooking pot and lid and wash them in warm soapy water. DO NOT
use harsh abrasive cleaners as this will damage the non-stick coating. Take care to rinse
completely, and then dry with a soft cloth.
2. Clean the outside of the Rice Cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of
the cooker with an abrasive cleaner. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild
detergent. Do not immerse the heating vessel in water or any other liquid. Wash only the
non-stick cooking pot and lid.
CAUTION:Never use any chemical, steel wool, harsh abrasive cleaners, thinners or
chemical soaked cloths to clean any part of your Rice Cooker.
RICE MEASUREMENTS
1. Using the measuring cup provided, measure the desired amount of rice.
