4. Hills Antenna & TV Systems ndertakes that if d ring the Warranty Period, the
Eq ipment, or any part of the Eq ipment, has failed to operate correctly d e to
fa lty Workmanship or defective Material, it will repair or replace the Eq ipment or
part (as the case may be) free of charge on the following terms:
(a) The cons mer m st retain proof of p rchase of the Eq ipment. Hills Antenna
& TV Systems may reject a warranty claim on Eq ipment where the
cons mer is nable to s bstantiate proof of p rchase to the reasonable
satisfaction of Hills Antenna & TV Systems.
(b) The cons mer m st contact the relevant Hills Antenna & TV Systems Branch
Office (details listed below) or telephone 1800 720 000 pon becoming aware
of a defect to any Eq ipment.
(c) Following cons ltation with Hills Antenna & TV Systems, we will determine
whether there is a defect, and if so we agree (at o r option) to repair,
replace or s pply eq ivalent goods, or pay the cost of any of those remedies
to the cons mer.
(d) The cons mer will be responsible for the collection and freight costs of
ret rning the Eq ipment to Hills Antenna & TV Systems or to any designated
Hills Antenna & TV Systems Branch Office for repair or replacement (as
determined by s).
(e) Hills Antenna & TV Systems will be responsible for the freight costs to deliver
any new or repaired Eq ipment to the cons mer.
(f) Please note that a service charge will apply if no fa lt is identified or if any
fa lt does not fall within the conditions of this warranty. For details of the
applicable service charge, please contact Hills Antenna & TV Systems prior to
making a claim nder this warranty.
5. The cons mer’s right to this warranty will cease to apply where:
(a) The Eq ipment has not been sed in accordance with the instr ctions
provided in the installation instr ctions s pplied with the Eq ipment, or in
accordance with s al se for that type of eq ipment;
(b) Alterations, modifications or repairs have been carried o t on the Eq ipment
6. This warranty is in addition to any non-excl dable legal rights or remedies conferred
on the cons mer nder any applicable Act and any similar laws. To the extent
permitted by law, Hills Antenna & TV Systems’ liability for any non-excl dable
condition or warranty is limited to rectifying any defect at its option, as set o t in
paragraph 4(c).
7. S bject to the req irements of any applicable Act or legislation and to the extent
permitted by law, no liability (whether expressed or implied) of any nat re
whatsoever, is accepted by Hills Antenna & TV Systems for any conseq ential loss,
damage or inj ry arising as a res lt of any fa lt in the Eq ipment.
8. This warranty does not extend to damage to Eq ipment which occ rs d ring transit
or transportation, or which is ca sed by any ab se, accident or improper
installation, connection, se, adj stment or repair of goods otherwise than in
accordance with instr ctions iss ed by Hills Antenna & TV Systems.
9. The following applies to cons mers who p rchased the Eq ipment in A stralia:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

1. BOOT PREPARATION
The boot has been desi ned to suit various
sizes of cables. For RG59 cable no trimmin is
necessary, but for other cables trimmin is
required to allow the boot to fit over the
cable. Refer to Fi ure 1 for details. When
trimmin the boot, ensure there is a neat fit
around the cable to minimise water in ress.
2. COAX CABLE RUN
Slide the rubber boot provided over the
coaxial cable and then fit an F-type connector
to the cable. Refer Fi ure 2.
NOTE: The F-type connector is not included
and should be fitted accordin to the
manufacturer's instructions.
3. COAX CABLE CONNECTION
Screw the F-type connector onto the balun,
ensurin it is not over-ti htened. The
recommended torque is 3 N-m. Slide the boot
over the connector onto the balun housin ,
ensurin that it completely covers the
connector and is seated into the housin to
prevent water in ress. See Fi ure 3.

4. MOUNTING BOOM
Rotate the mountin boom so that it
is perpendicular to the screen, as per
Fi ures 4 & 6. Use the bolt and nut
from the accessory ba to secure the
mountin boom in the correct
position and ti hten. See Fi ure 4.
5. U-BOLT ASSEMBLY
Note: The antenna can be mounted for
horizontally or vertically polarised si nals.
Check the local transmitter to determine
the correct mountin orientation. See
Fi ures 7 & 8. Remove the U-bolt, nuts,
rubber flan e and clamps from the
accessory ba . Place the U-bolt throu h
the mast clamp, rubber flan e then
throu h the tilt bracket and affix the
flan e nuts. Fit the tilt bracket over the
mountin boom. See Fi ure 5.
6. MOUNTING THE ANTENNA
Take the pre-assembled U-bolt assembly and
loosen the flan e nuts sufficiently to allow the
mast to fit between the mast clamp bracket
and the U-bolt. Slide the U-bolt over the mast
and ti hten the nuts fin er ti ht (see Fi ure 6).
7. ALIGNING THE ANTENNA
Aim the antenna towards the transmitter and
ti hten the nuts with a spanner. Do not over
ti hten the nuts so as not to excessively
squash the rubber flan e. Secure the cable to
the mast with cable ties, bein careful not to
exceed the minimum bendin radius of the
cable (see Fi ure 6).

WARRANTY TERMS – Australian Consumer Law
1. Hills Antenna & TV Systems provides cons mers with the following warranty in
relation to this Eq ipment, in addition to complying with the req irements of any
relevant legislation, incl ding the Competition and Consumer Act 010 (Cth) in
A stralia and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 in New Zealand (the Acts),
except where a New Zealand cons mer acq ires the relevant Eq ipment for the
purposes o a b siness.
2. In this warranty, we have sed the following definitions:
(a) Hills Antenna & TV Systems, our or we means Hills Antenna & TV
Systems, a division of Hills Limited ABN 35 007 573 417 of Level 7, 130 Pitt
Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
(b) Equipment means the goods packaged with this warranty doc ment, or to
which this warranty doc ment is affixed.
(c) Material means a material or component sed by Hills Antenna & TV
Systems in the man fact re of the Eq ipment.
(d) Warranty Period means 5 Years from the date of p rchase of the
Eq ipment.
If the Eq ipment or part (as the case may be) is repaired or replaced, there
will be no extension to the original warranty period.
(e) Workmanship means the handling, assembly and man fact ring processes
performed by or on behalf of Hills Antenna & TV Systems in order to
man fact re the Eq ipment.
3. Hills Antenna & TV Systems warrants that for the d ration of the Warranty Period,
the Eq ipment will be free of fa lts arising from defects in Workmanship or
Materials, on the terms and conditions set o t in this warranty.
