Connect Peripheral Equipment
Thereis a wide range of audio and video equipmentthat can
be connected toyourTV.
The following connection diagrams showyou wherethe differ-
entequipmentshould be connected atthe rearorthe front
side ofthe TV.
Via theEuroconnector
YourTV sethas one ortwoEuroconnectorsocket. If you want
toconnectperipherals (e.g.video,decoder,etc.) which have
Eurocon-nectors,toyourTV,use EXT.1 and EXT.2 inputs.
If an external device is connected via Euroconnectorsockets
TV is switched toAV mode automatically.If the signal isRGB
then the RGB OSD indicator is displayed on the screen.
InAVmode ifyou press the “ ”button the TVstatus OSD is
displayed on the screen.
RGBmode
If an equipment can output the RGB signals, connect it to the
AV-1(EXT.1) terminal.
•Selectthe RGB mode towatch images from thatequipment.
•When notin the RGB mode,turnthe RGB signals output
equipment off.
Via AntInput
If you wanttoconnecttoyourTV,peripherals like video re-
cordersordecoders,butthe device you wanttoconnectdoes
not haveEuroconnector,you should connect it to the ANTin-
put ofyourTV set.
If the VCR is connected via antenna inputit is suggested
touse theProgramme0.
Decoder
Cable TV offersyou awide choice ofprograms.Mostofthem
arefree,othersaretobe paid forbythe viewer.This means
thatyouwillneedtosubscribe tothebroadcastingorganisation
whose programmes you wish toreceive.This organisation will
supply you acorrespondingdecoder unittoallow the
programmes tobe unscrambled.

Connect a decoder with an aerial socket to the TV
• Connect the aerial cable.
Connect a decoder without an aerial socket to the TV
•Connectthe decodertoyourTV withaeurocable /RCA Jack
Cable to EXT.1 and EXT.2 / RCAJack.When yourdecoder
hasaEuroconnector /RCA Jackyoucanobtainbetterpicture
quality if you connect aeurocable / RCA Jack Cable toEX-
TERNAL/RCA Jack.
TVand VideoRecoder (VCR)
•Connect the VideoRecorder totheANT(antenna input) socket
of the TV withthe aerial cable.
•Connectthe Video Recorder totheAV-1 or AV-2 terminal with
the SCART cable,orconnectittotheF-AV terminal withthe
audio and video cables.
Playback NTSC
ConnectNTSC VCR playertoEuroconnectoratthe back of
the TV.
or,
ConnectNTSC VCR playertoRCA Jack atthe frontofthe TV.
Then, press “ AV “button to select AV-1,AV-2,F-AV,RGB or
SVHS.
Copy Facility
Source selection for VCR recording.
• Select Features Menu in the Main Menu.
• Select AV-2OUTPUT source pressing “ ” or “ ” button.
Search for and store the test signal of the video
recorder
•Unplug the aerial cable from the aerial socket“ANT”ofyour
video recorder.
•Switch on your TV and putthe video recorderon the testsig-
nal. (See the handbook for your video recorder.)
• Enter the Fine Tuning via the Install menu.
• Search forthe testsignal ofyourvideo recorderin the same
wayas you searched forand stored the TV signals.See Tun-
ing,Search and StoreTV channels.Storethe testsignal un-
der programme number 0.
•Replace the aerial cable in the aerial socket “ANT.”ofyour
video recorder once you havestored the test signal.
Camera and Camcorder
To connect to Front-AV input (F-AV)
Connectyourcameraorcamcorderatthe frontside ofyour
TV.
•Connectyour equipmenttotheTVviaVIDEO (yellow), AUDIO
R (red)and AUDIO L (white) inputs.You should connectthe
jacks tothe input in the same colour.
SVHS(via EXT.2)
IftheequipmentconnectedtoyourTVsetsupports S-Video(Y/
C)output from Euroconnector, you can haveabetter picture
quality byselectingAV-2 modeandconnectingyour equipment
tothe EXT.2 terminal of TV.See your equipment's bookletto
check if yourequipment has such feature.
Connectthe decoderto the videorecorder
Some video recordershaveaspecial euroconnectorforde-
coder.
•Connect aeurocable to the euroconnector of your decoder and
tothespecial eurocon-nector ofyour videorecorder.Seealso
the handbook of your video recorder.
•Toconnectyour video recordertothe TV, see TV and Video
Recordersection.
Ifyou want toconnectmoreequipmentto your TV,consult
your dealer.
Connecting Headphones
Use the stereo headphone socketon the lowerrightside of
yourTV,toconnect headphones.

Place the TV on a solid surface.
Ifplacingthe TVintoacabinet or alcove,ensure thereisatleast
a100mm (10cm) gap tothe sides and rearand top ofthe TV.

1. Power Cord
The powersupply cable should be placed so thatitis notlikely
tobewalkedonor pinchedbyitemsplacedonor against it.Pay
particular attention tothe cable

2. Moisture and Water
Donotuse this equipmentin a humid and damp place (avoid
the bathroom, the sink in the kitchen, and near the washing

on top.Avoid from dripping or splashing.
3. Cleaning
Beforecleaning, unplug the receiver from the mainsupply

Topreventdamage during astorm,lightning orwhen going on
holiday,disconnectthe power leadand aerialfrom thewall
outletand disconnectthe aerial plug from the back ofthe tele-
vision.
5. Ventilation
The slotsand openings on the receiverareintended forventi-
lation and toensurereliableoperation.Topreventoverheating,
these openings must not be blocked or covered in anyway.
6. Replacement Part
When replacement partsarerequired,besure theservice tech-
nician has used replacementpartswhich arespecified by the
manufacturer or havethe same specifications as the original
one. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electrical

Power connection

•Afterunpacking,allow the TVsettoreach the ambientroom
temperaturebeforeyou connectthe set tothe mains.
Connections to the RF input socket
• Connectthe aerial orcable TV plug intothe RFinputsocket
on the back of the TV.Ifyou arealso connecting avideo re-
corder /satellite receiver, plug the aerial into this equipment
firstand then connectthe RFoutputsocket from this device
tothe RFinput on the back of the TV.

Insertingbatteriesin the remote control
handset
• Place the batteries in the right directions as seen below.
•Removethe battery coverlocated on the back ofthe handset
by gently pulling upwards from the indicated part.
• Insert two AAA(R03) or equivalenttype batteries inside.
• Replace the battery cover.
NOTE:Remove batteries fromremotecontrolhandsetwhenit
isnottobeusedforalongperiod.Otherwiseitcanbedamaged
due toany leakage of batteries.
Switching theTV ON/OFF
Toswitch the TV on
YourTV will switch on in twosteps:
1- Press the powerbutton located on the frontofthe TV.Then
the TVswitches itself to standby mode and the REDLED
located belowthe TV turns on.
2- Toswitch on the TV from stand-by mode either:
Pressadigit buttonon theremotecontrolso thataprogramme
number is selected,
or,
Press ProgrammeUp orDown buttonson the frontoftheTV or
on the remotecontrol, so that last switched off programme is
selected.
Ineithercase the TV will switch on and theRED LED will turn
to GREEN.
Toswitch the TVoff
•Pressthestand-by buttononthe remotecontrol,sotheTVwill
switch to stand-bymode and the GREEN LED will become
RED,
or,
Pressthepowerbuttonlocatedon thefrontoftheTV,sothe TV
will switch offand theGREEN LED will turnoff.
Operating theTV
You can operate your TV both using the remote control
handsetand onset buttons.
A.P.S. (Automatic Programming System)
"PLEASE, CHECK ANTENNA CABLE. AUTOPROGRAM-
MING SYSTEM"message will be displayed when you turn
on yourTV forthe firsttime.A.P.S., searches and sortsall
channels and stores them automaticallyon yourTV,accord-
ing tothe transmission of programme systems in your area.
Tocancel A.P.S. beforestarting,press “
TV
”button.Firstof
all choose the “COUNTRY”. This,will effectthe sort process
in A.P.S.
The"STANDARD"setting isfixedto"BG".Youcannot
change this item'ssetting.
Toselect“START”use “ “or“ ”button and press “ ”or

Operatingwith the buttons ontheTVset
Volume setting and programme selection can be made us-
ing the buttons on the front panel.
Volume Setting
•Press “-VOLUME”button to decrease volume or “VOLUME+”
button toincreasevolume,soavolumelevel scale(slider) will
be displayed at the middle of the bottom on the screen.
•By pressing boththe “VOLUME+”and “-VOLUME”buttons
at the same time you can enter Main menu.
Programme Selecting
•Press“PROG. +” button to select the nextprogramme or
“PROG. -” button toselect the previous programme.
Entering Main Menu
•Press "MENU"button toenterMain menu.Inthe Main menu
select sub-menu using “PROG.-”or “PROG.+”button and
enterthe sub-menu using “-VOLUME”or“VOLUME+”but-
ton.Tolearnthe usage ofthe menus,refertothe Menu Sys-
tem section.
Operatingwith Remote Control
TheremotecontrolhandsetofyourTV isdesignedtocontrolall
the functions of the model you selected.The functions will be
described in accordance withthe menu system of yourTV.
Functions ofthe menu system aredescribed in Menu System
section.
Volume Setting
Press “VOL+”button toincrease volume.Press “VOL-”button
todecrease volume. A volume level scale (slider) will be dis-
played at the middle ofthe bottom on the screen.
Programme Selecting (Previous or next programme)
• Press “ ” button toselect the previous programme.
• Press “ “ button toselectthe next programme.
Programme Selecting (direct access)
Press digit buttonsonthe remote controlhandset toselect
programmes between 0 and 9. TVwill switch to the selected
programme.Toselectprogrammes between 10 -99,you must
use the double digit button "- -".
this OSD is displayed at the left hand upper onthe
screen.
After this, press the digitbuttons consecutively for the
programme you want to select (eg. for programme 27, first press
2and then 7). If the second digit is not entered within 3seconds,
this function will disappear.
Press directly the programme number to reselect single digit
programmes.
Programme Swapping
• Press "P<P"(programme swap)button toselectthe lastse-
lected programme.This button provides swapping between
lasttwo selected programmes. For example,select
programme 8,then selectprogramme 2.Now,if you press
"P<P"button,programme 8will be selected.If you press the
same button again,programme 2will be selected and so on.
MenuSystem
YourTV has beendesigned withamenu system, toprovide an
easy manipulation ofa multi-function system.The TV is con-
trolled bychoosing the commands,which aredisplayed on the
screen.
Press the " "button.The Main menu will be displayedatthe
middle on the screen.
All the selected itemsin thismenu systemis indicated with
CYAN charactersand withan arrowon the leftside of items.
Toselectasub-menu use “ “or“ ”button,and press “ ”or
“”button.Each option canalso beselectedwiththe coloured
button and " "button on the remotecontrol.
MAINMENU
The menu system is described below.
The short way in ordertoenter the menus, press :
""Button,MainMenu.
Red Button,Sound Menu.
Green Button,PictureMenu.
Yellow Button,FeatureMenu.
Blue Button,Install Menu.
" " Button,Programme Menu.
Menu button has two functions;firstis opening or closing the
"MAIN MENU", and the second is closing the sub-menu and
then opening itsparent menu.
Sound Menu
To change sound settings
• Enter the Sound Menu directly, pressing the Red button or,
•Asyou enterthe main menu, sound will be the first selected
option. In the main menu, select SOUND using “ “ or “ ”
button,then enterthe sound menu pressing “ ”or“ ”but-
ton.

Setting Volume
Asyou enterthe sound menu,Volume will be the firstselected
option.
• Press “ ” button toincrease volume.
• Press “ ” button todecrease volume.
Or you can directly change the volume settings using “VOL+”
(toincrease) or “-VOL” (todecrease) button.
Setting Balance
It allows adjusting the distribution between the left and right
speakers.
• Using “ “ or “ ” button select Balance.
• Press “ ” button tochange balance tothe right.
• Press “ ” button tochange balance tothe left.
When balancecontrolisinmid position,the cursorisdisplayed
withthe tworeciprocal arrows.
Selecting Mode
• Using “ “ or “ ” button select Mode.
• Press “ ” or “ ” button to change Mode.
You can chooseMONO, STEREO or DUAL (I-II) mode,onlyif
the selected channel supportsthat mode.
You can also change sound modedirectlypressing“I-II”button
on your remotecontrol.
In case ofbilingual broadcast(Dual Sound), you can select
original or dubbed language using mode option.
Setting AVL
Automatic VolumeLimiting(AVL) functionnormalises soundto
obtain fixed output level between programs,having different
soundlevels. Pressing“ ”or “ ”buttonwillturn onandoffthis
feature.
Setting Effect
You can use this featuretoswitch the sound effecton and off.
Pressing“ ”or “ ”buttonwillturn on andoff thisfeature.Ifthe
currentsoundsystemisMONO and thesoundeffectis setON,
then the sound will be heardas if it isSTEREO. If the current
sound system is STEREO, switching this effect on will give a
morespatial sound.
Equalizer

By cursor action, programme selection is done automatically.

No-Signal
No-Signal Timer Indicator
It is displayed in the middle ofthe screen when no valid signal
detected. Itshowsthe time remaining before the switching to the
Stand-By mode (ittakes 5minutes when no signal detected or
no anyRemoteControl command is accessed). The indicator
is displayed for 3seconds when thereis no valid signal.
AfteraRemoteControlcommand(ifNo-Signal Timeris active)
the timerstopsand ifno signal detected again the timeris ini-
tialized to5minutes and starts3seconds lateragain tocount

Volume Bar
Itisdisplayedin thelower middle ofthe screen.Whenavolume

screen for 3seconds, after the last volume command or until
another command is received in between.
AVModes
By pressingthe“ ” button you can switch yourTV toAVV
