CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to dry,
heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier and
avoid product mis-use, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and requires
attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care and
maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be able to
growinthewaterwithintheWaterTank.Youmustroutinely
followthecleaningproceduresthatfollowinordertoensure
proper, efficient operation of your humidifier. Proper
maintenance and cleaning is essential to the continued
performance of your unit and the avoidance of algae or
bacteria build-up.
Daily Maintenance
1. Be sure the unit is OFF and is disconnected from the
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the housing and the tanks from the humidifier
and place them in sink or tub.
3. Carry the base of the unit to the sink, remove the wick
filter,placeinsink,drainanyremainingwaterand rinse
thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean,
and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Drain the water from the tanks into the sink and rinse
each tank thoroughly. Wipe clean, and dry with a clean
cloth or paper towel.
5. Putfilter back inthefilter supports, replacethehousing,
then refill the tanks with cool tap water as instructed
earlier in the Filling Instructions. Do not overfill.
6. Follow Operating Instructions.
Weekly Maintenance
To Remove Scale:
1. Repeat steps 1-4 above.
2. Clean the base by partially filling the base with one 8-
oz cups of undiluted white vinegar, or by using
Cleanse Clean®(Model S1710) by the manufacturer.
Leave this solution in the base for 20 minutes, while
cleaning the all interior surfaces with a soft brush.
Remove base scale by wiping the base with a cloth
dampened with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse with clean warm water to remove the cleaning
solution before disinfecting the tank.
To Disinfect Humidifier Base Tanks:
1. Fill Humidifier Base with 2 gallons of water and 1/2
teaspoon of chlorine bleach.
2. Fill each tank 1/2 full with water and 1 teaspoon of
chlorine bleach.
3. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every
few minutes. Wet all surfaces.
4. Carefully empty the Base and Tanks after 20 minutes,
and rinse with water until you cannot detect any bleach
smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
5. Refill the water tanks as directed with cool tap water,
replace the humidifier housing, and turn the Control
Knob to ON.

A. This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
B.This Warranty applies ONLY to repair or replacement of any supplied or manufactured parts of this product that, upon
inspection by JCS/THG, LLC authorized personnel, is shown to have failed in normal use due to defects in material or
workmanship. JCS/THG, LLC will determine whether to repair or replace the unit. This Warranty does not apply to
installation expenses.
C. Operating this unit under conditions other than those recommended or at voltages other than the voltage indicated on
the unit, or attempting to service or modify the unit, will render this WARRANTY VOID.
D.Unless otherwise proscribed by law, JCS/THG, LLC shall not be liable for any personal injury, property
or any incidental or consequential damage of any kind resulting from malfunctions, defects, misuse,
improper installation or alteration of this product.
E. All parts of this product excluding filters, which are covered under separate warranty, are guaranteed for a period of 2
years as follows:
1.Within the first 30 days from date of purchase, the store from which you purchased your product should replace this
productifitisdefective in material or workmanship (provided the store has in-stock replacement.) If you intend to assert
any claim in connection with the product, please follow the instructions in paragraph F.
2.Within the first 24 months from date of purchase, JCS/THG, LLC will repair or replace the product if it is defective in
material or workmanship, subject to the conditions in paragraph G.
F. Ifyou have any other problem or claim in connectionwith this product, please write to our Consumer Service Department.
G.IMPORTANTRETURN INSTRUCTIONS. YourWarrantydepends onyour following these instructions if you are returning the
unit to JCS/THG, LLC:
1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box to avoid damage in shipping.
2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
a) Your name, full address with zip code and telephone number,
b) A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
c) Your $20.00 check for return shipping and handling, and
d) The model number of the unit and the problem you are having. (Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the
unit before the box is sealed.)
3. JCS/THG, LLC recommends you ship the package U.P.S. ground service for tracking purposes.
4. All shipping charges must be prepaid by you.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. The provisions of

applicable law, such provision shall be deemed voided or amended, as necessary, to comply with such law.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When not using your humidifier for an extended period of time:
1. Dispose of the filters. DO NOT leave in unit.
2. Clean,rinse and thoroughly dry the humidifier as directedin weekly maintenance. DO NOT leave any water in the unit
when storing. Leaving water in the unit may render the unit inoperable for the following season.
3. Place the humidifier in the original carton and store in a cool, dry place.
4. Order your replacement filter for next year’s use.

Loshumidificadores proveen confort agregando humedad al
aire seco de los ambientes interiores calefaccionados.
Parabeneficiarsealmáximo de los humidificadores y evitar
su mal uso, siga todas las instrucciones cuidadosamente.
Tenga en cuenta que éste es un artefacto eléctrico que
requiere atención cuando esté en uso.
Además, si no se siguen las recomendaciones para el
cuidado y mantenimiento, crecerán microorganismos en el
agua dentro de los tanques. Se deben ejecutar
rutinariamente los procedimientos de limpieza que se
indican a continuación para asegurar el funcionamiento
adecuado y eficiente del humidificador que son esenciales
para el rendimiento óptimo constante de la unidad y para
evitar la formación de algas y bacterias.
Mantenimiento diario
1. Asegúrese de apagar y desenchufar la unidad del
tomacorriente.
2. Desmonte el casco y los tanques del humidificador y
colóquelos en el fregadero o en la tina.
3. Lleve la base de la unidad al fregadero o a la tina,
quítele el filtro de mecha, coloque la base en el
fregadero, drene el agua remanente, enjeague
completamente para remover cualquier sedimento o
suciedad, limpie frotando con un paño y seque con una
toalla de tela o papel.
4. Drene el agua de los tanques en el fregadero y
enjuáguelos completamente. Límpielos frotando con un
paño y séquelos con una toalla de tela o de papel.
5. Vuelva a instalar el filtro, el caso y vuelva a llenar el
tanquecon agua corrientecomose indicóanteriormente
en las instrucciones para el llenado. No lo llene de más.
6. Siga las instrucciones de operación.
Mantenimiento semanal
Para extraer el sarro:
1. Repita los pasos 1 al 4 anteriores.
2. Limpiela base llenándola parcialmente con una taza de
250ml (8 oz.)devinagre blancosindiluir o conCleanse
Clean®(Modelo S1710). Deje reposar esta solución en
labase por 20 min.mientraslimpia todas las superficies
interiores con un cepillo blando. Quite el sarro frotando
labaseconuntrapo humedecido con vinagre blanco sin
diluir.
3. Enjuague con agua tibia limpia para extraer la solución
limpiadora antes de desinfectar el tanque.
Para desinfectar la base y los tanques del
humidificador:
1. Llene la base del humidificador con 8 L. (2 galones) de
agua y 1/2 cucharadita de blanqueador de cloro.
2. Llene cada tanque hasta la mitad con agua y 1/2
cucharadita de blanqueador de cloro.
3. Dejeque la solución trabaje por 20minutos,sacudiendo
los tanques de vez en cuando. Moje todas las
superficies.
4. Vacíe cuidadosamente la base y los tanques después de
20 minutos y enjuague hasta que ya no se pueda
detectarel olor a cloro. Seque con una tela limpia o con
toalla de papel.

Cuando no se vaya a usar el humidificador por una larga temporada:

8. Plugintotheelectrical outlet. Turnthe Humidity Control
Knob to the HI ( III ), MED ( II ), or LOW ( I ) setting.
NOTE: If moisture forms on the walls or windows, turn
off the humidifier.
USING THE HUMIDISTAT
The Humidistat feature allows you to set and maintain the
humidity level you wish for your room to maintain. The
Humidistat setting is designed to operate between 25% and
65% relative humidity range. The recommended setting is
40-50%. Turn the Humidistat clockwise as far as it will turn
to achieve the highest setting. In this setting, the humidifier
will run constantly, and produce the greatest amount of
moisture. To lower your desired humidity level, simply turn
the Humidistat counterclockwise to choose your setting.
When the humidity in the room is less than the level you
have set, the humidifier will continue to produce moisture.
Once the set humidity level has been achieved, the fan will
turn off. When the room humidity drops below your set
level, the unit will automatically begin producing moisture
again. Depending on the size of your room and your
personal comfort, you will set your humidistat at different
levels. If condensation forms on your windows or walls, or
your measured room humidity reads above 50% by use of
a hygrometer, turn off your humidifier, or lower your
Humidistat level.
REMOVING PERMANENT FILTER FOR
CLEANING
Through normal use, waterborne minerals and sediment
becometrapped inthewick filter.Theharder your water,the
greater the amount of minerals in the water, and the more
often you will need to clean your filter.
You will be able to monitor the life of the filter in your
humidifier by checking the FilterClean™. When the unit is
off,the FilterClean™ will read in the Off/Fill position. After
60minutes of use, FilterClean™ (refer to Figure4forclose-
up of indicator) will move from
the Goodposition and indicate
your filter condition. A brand
new filter will register in the
bluesection reading Good filter.
After frequent use of your
humidifier, the FilterClean™ will
let you know when the filter
needsto be cleaned .
Whenthe needle is in the WashFilter section, this means the
proper amount of moisture is not getting into your air due
to the excessive minerals and sediment that have become
trapped on your filter. At this point, you should wash your
filter. It is important to wash your filter as indicated to
obtain stated performance level.
PERMANENT FILTER WASHING
INSTRUCTIONS
1. The water tray should be cleaned when you clean the
filter. The water tray is a convenient way to carry the
filter to prevent dripping.
2. Mix 1 gallon warm tap water with 1 teaspoon
concentrated antibacterial liquid dish washing soap.
3. Fully submerge filter in soap solution for 15-20
minutes.
4. Dunk filter in soap solution several times then gently
press to release the soapy water. Be sure not to wring,
pull or scrub filter as this will degrade the filter.
5. Run under cool tap water until there is no soap
remaining. Some discoloration may still be visible, this
is normal and does not affect performance.
6. Gentlyshake or press the filter to remove excess water.
7. The filter can be put directly into the humidifier while
stilldamp if it is to be used right away,or allow filter to
dry completely if humidifier is to be stored.
Should your filter become damaged or lost, please call the
customer service number listed in the manual for a
replacement part: HWF75NG-P.
20. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void
your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user
serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by
qualified personnel only.
21. Never place housing under water flow or immerse in
liquids.
22. Do not plug in the cord with wet hands: electric shock
could result.
23. Do notpour waterin anyopenings otherthan thewater
tank.
24. To prevent damage to surfaces, do not place humidifier
under overhanging surfaces.
25. NEVER operate unit without water in the tank.
26. Use both hands when carrying full tank of water.

plenty of humidity and additional moisture may cause
damage.
NOTE: DO NOT block air inlet or outlet.
Cord and Plug Installation Safety Instructions
The length of cord used on this appliance was selected to
reducethe hazards of becoming tangled in, or tripping over
a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary an approved
extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the
extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating
of the humidifier. Care must be taken to arrange the
extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
accidentally tripped over.
HOW COOL MIST WORKS
Your Holmes®Cool Mist humidifier draws dry air through
therearairintakegrill area. This air is then passed through
amoisture–ladenwickfilter, which retains the minerals and
depositsinthe water.The resulting moist air is directed back
into the room from the top air grill.
NOTE: This humidification system provides a cool, invisible
moisture output. It is normal not to see the mist.
NOTE: A humidity level below 20% can be unhealthy and
uncomfortable.The recommended humiditylevelis between
40%-50%.
PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Be sure the Control Knob is in the OFF position and the
unit is disconnected from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove housing, filter and tanks.
3. TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL MOBILITY AND CONVENIENCE
TO YOUR CONSOLE HUMIDIFIER, install the wheels.
Remove the four wheels located in a small pouch in the
box.Turnthe base upside down, and locatethe holes at
each of the four corners on the underside.
NOTE: You will notice that there are two different
shaped wheels. Two of the 4 wheels are stationary
wheels and two are swivel type wheels. The stationary
wheels are identified by a flat top surface, while the
swivel type are curved and include a small plastic piece
on the shaft. See Figure 2 for installation location for
each type of wheel. DO NOT use any tools to install the
wheel because tools may damage the base of the unit.
Return the base to the upright position.
4. Replace filter, housing and tanks.
5. Choosea locationoutof reachofchildren. DO NOTplace
the humidifier on a finished floor or near furniture
which can be damaged by moisture or water.
Filling the Water Tank:
NOTE:Thishumidifier holds about 3 gallons of water in the
tank and humidifier base. The humidifier will produce up to
8 gallons of moisture over a 24-hour period.
1. Remove the two tanks from the base of the humidifier
andbring each tank to thefaucet.Turnthetanksupside
down and twist off the tank caps by turning counter-
clockwise. Fill each tank with cool, fresh tap water.
Replace the cap on each tank FIRMLY.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance
directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
3. Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire
hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs or near heat
registers.
4. DO NOT place humidifier near heat sources such as
stoves, radiators, and heaters. DO locate your
humidifier on an inside wall near an electrical outlet.
Thehumidifiershould be at least 4” away from the wall
for best results.
5. NEVERplace humidifier in an area where it isaccessible
to children. NEVER use humidifier in a closed room,
particularly where a child may be sleeping, resting, or
playing (a closed room may result in excessive
humidity).
6. WARNING:Donotattemptto refill humidifier without
first unplugging the unit from its electrical outlet.
Failureto heed this warning may cause personal injury.
Be sure to unplug the unit by pulling on the plug and
not the cord.
7. Never place anything over moisture outlet when the
unit is running.
8. NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
9. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance
to manufacturer for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment, or repair.
10. Use appliance only for intended household use as
described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire,

waterproof mat or pad is recommended for use under

Moisture could cause damage, particularly to wall paper.
14. Humidifier should be unplugged when not in use.
15. NEVER tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is
operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the
water tank and moving the unit.
16. This humidifier requires daily and weekly maintenance
to operate appropriately. Refer to daily and weekly
cleaning procedures. Use only cleaners and additives
recommended by the manufacturer.
17. NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, furniture
polish, paint thinner, or other household solvents to
clean any part of the humidifier.
18. Excessive humidity in a room can cause water
condensation on windows and some furniture. If this
happens, turn the humidifier OFF.
19. Do not use humidifier in an area where humidity level
isin excess of50%.Use a hygrometer,availableat your
local retailer or through the manufacturer, to measure
the humidity.
THIS PRODUCT IS EQUIPPED WITH A POLARIZED PLUG (a plug having one blade wider
than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. If the plug does not
fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact qualified personnel
to install the proper outlet.

2. When full, carry each tank to the humidifier and place
onto the base (use both hands when carrying each
tank). Each tank holds 1.4 gallons of water, and the
base holds 0.2 gallons of water.
3. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
With housing placed properly onto the base, the filter
installed correctly, the tanks filled and the plug correctly
inserted in the outlet, you are now ready to operate the
humidifier.
NOTE: The HM3607 produces clean, cool, INVISIBLE
moisture. It is normal not to see the moisture.
1. Turn the Control Knob to the HI position and turn the
Humidistat to HI.
2. Allow up to 30 minutes for the filter to fully absorb
water and the unit to produce the maximum moisture
output.
3. Adjust the 3-speed Humidity Control Knob and the
Humidistat as desired.
4. TheAutomaticHumidistatControlisdesigned to operate
between 25% and 60% Relative Humidity range. The
recommended setting is between 40% and 50%. When
the humidity level in the room is below the level you
have set, the humidifier will operate to produce
moisture. When the set humidity level in the room is
reached, the humidifier will stop. When the humidity
again drops below the set level, the unit will
automatically start and produce moisture again.
NOTE:We recommend the use of the hygrometer which
reads the actual humidity level in your room. A humidity
levelbelow20%can beunhealthy anduncomfortable.The
recommended humidity level is between 40% and 50%.
5. Whenthe waterlevelis low,therefilllight willilluminate
to indicate the unit needs refilling. Shut off and unplug
the unit.
NOTE: THEFANWILLCONTINUE TO RUNTOALLOW THE
HUMIDIFIER TO DRY OUT AND PREVENT ALGAE
GROWTH.
6. Before refilling, follow Daily Maintenance Instructions
and check to see if the filter needs washing by
comparing it to the FilterClean™ (located on the side of
the humidifier housing).
7. Refill water tanks.

Instrucciones de seguridad en la instlación del cable
y el enchufe
Lalongitud del cable de este artefacto fueseleccionadapara
reducirel riesgo deenredarseo tropezarse conuncable más
largo. Sinecesita usar un cable más largo,puedeutilizar un
cable de extensión aprobado. La capacidad eléctrica del
cable de extensión debe ser igual o mayor que la capacidad
del humidificador. No debe permitir que el cable de
extensión cuelgue de la mesada o mesa de tal forma que
puedaser halado porniñoso causar que alguiensetropiece.
COMO FUNCIONA EL VAPOR FRIO
SuhumidificadorHolmes®de vapor frío succiona aire seco a
travésdelarejilladeentradadeaire.Luego,elairepasapor
6filtrosdemechacargadosdehumedad,losqueretienenlos
minerales y depósitos del agua. El aire húmedo resultante es
dirigido nuevamente al ambiente por la rejilla superior.
NOTA: Estesistema de humidificación proporciona unasalida
dehumedadfría e invisible. Es normal que no se vea el vapor.
NOTA: Un nivel de humedad menor al 20% puede ser
nocivo e incómodo. El nivel de humedad recomendado es
entre el 40% y el 50%.
INSTRUCCIONES PREVIAS AL USO
1. Compruebe que el Botón de Control esté en la posición
APAGADA y que el aparato está desconectado de la
acometida eléctrica.
2. Retire la carcasa, filtro y depósitos.
3. PARA MOVER EL HUMIDIFICADOR DE CONSOLA CON
COMODIDAD, deberá instalar las ruedas. Retire las
cuatroruedasqueencontraráenunpequeñobolsilloen
lacaja. Vuelquelabase bocaabajoy localice losorificios
en cada una de las cuatro esquinas en la parte inferior.
NOTA: Verá que hay dos tipos de ruedas. Dos de las 4
ruedas son fijas y las otras dos giratorias. Las ruedas
fijas se identifican por una superficie lisa, mientras que
las giratorias son curvadas e incluyen una pequeña
pieza de plástico en el eje. Vea la figura 1 para la
instalación de cada tipo de rueda. NO use ninguna
herramienta para instalar las ruedas ya que se puede
dañar la base del aparato. Ponga la base en posición
vertical de nuevo.
4. Reponga el filtro, la carcasa y los depósitos.
5. Seleccione un lugar fuera del alcance de los niños. NO
coloque el humidificador sobre un piso pulido ni cerca de
muebles que se puedan dañar por la humedad o agua.
Rellenado del depósito de agua
NOTA:Este humidificadorcontiene3galonesdeaguaen el
depósito y base. El humidificador producirá hasta 8 galones
de humedad durante un período de 24 horas.
1. Retire los dos depósitos de la base del humidificador y
llévelos al grifo. Vuelque los depósitos boca abajo y
desenrosque las tapas girando hacia la izquierda.
Rellene cada depósito con agua fría y limpia. Ponga la
tapa en cada depósito firmemente.
2. Cuando estén llenos, lleve cada depósito al
humidificador y póngalos sobre la base (lleve los
depósitos con las dos manos). Cada uno contiene 1.4
galonesde aguayla basecontiene0,2 galonesdeagua.
3. Enchufe el cable en el tomacorriente.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
Cuando la carcasa esté bien colocada sobre la base, el filtro
instalado correctamente, los depósitos llenos y el enchufe
correctamente en la toma eléctrica, ya está listo para
funcionar el humidificador.
NOTA: El HM3607 produce humedad limpia, fría e
INVISIBLE. Es normal que no se vea la humedad.
1. Gire el Botón de Control a la posición ALTA y el
Humidistat (termostado de humedad) a ALTA.
2. Espere hasta 30 minutos para que el filtro absorba
totalmenteel agua y el aparato produzca el máximo de
humedad.
3. Ajusteel botón de Control de 3velocidadesde Humedad
y el Humidistat como desee.
4. El Control Automático del Humidistat está concebido
paraoperarentre 25% y 60% de Humedad Relativa. La
posición recomendada es entre 40% y 50%. Cuando el
nivel de humedad en la habitación esté por debajo del
nivel ajustado, el humidificador se pone en funcionamiento
paraproducirhumedad. Cuando llega al nivel de humedad
seleccionado en la habitación, el humidificador se detiene.
Cuando la humedad baja de nuevo por debajo del nivel
ajustado, el aparato se pone de nuevo en funcionamiento
automáticamenteparaproducir humedad.
NOTA:Recomendamoselusodelhigrómetroque lee el
nivel real de humedad en la habitación. Un nivel de
humedadmenorde20%puedesermaloeincómodo.El
nivel de humedad recomendado es entre 40% y 50%.
5. Cuando el nivel de agua está bajo, se ilumina la luz de
rellenado para indicar que se debe rellenar el depósito.
Apague y desenchufe el aparato.
NOTA: EL VENTILADOR CONTINUARÁ FUNCIONANDO
PARA SECAR EL HUMIDIFICADOR Y EVITAR QUE SE
FORME MOHO.
6. Antes de rellenar, siga las Instrucciones de
Mantenimiento Diario y compruebe si debe cambiar el
filtro, comparando el filtro gastado con el Código de
Color del monitor del filtro (situado en el lateral de la
carcasa del humidificador).
7. Rellene los depósitos de agua.
8. Enchufe en la acometida eléctrica. Gire el Botón de
ControldeHumedad a la posición ALTA (III), MED (II), o
BAJA (I).
NOTA: Si se forma humedad en las paredes o
ventanas, apague el humidificador.
USO DEL HUMIDISTAT
El Humidistat permite ajustar y mantener el nivel de
humedad que desee en la habitación. La posición del
Humidistat está concebida para operar entre 25% y 65% de
humedad relativa. La posición recomendada es 40-50%.
GireelHumidistata la derecha completamente a la posición
más alta. En esta posición, el humidificador funcionará
constantemente, y producirá la mayor cantidad de
humedad. Para bajar el nivel deseado de humedad,
simplemente gire el Humidistat a la izquierda para elegir
otra posición. Cuando la humedad en la habitación sea
menor que el nivel establecido, el humidificador continuará
produciendo humedad. Una vez llegado al nivel de
humedad ajustado, se para el ventilador. Cuando baja la
humedad en la habitación por debajo del nivel ajustado, el
aparatocomienza automáticamente a producir humedad de
nuevo. Según el tamaño de la habitación y su preferencia
personal, deberá ajustar el humidistat a diferentes niveles.
Si se forma condensación en las ventanas o paredes, o la
lecturade humedad ambiental es superior al50%conel uso
de un higrómetro, apague el humidificador o baje el nivel
del Humidistat.
COMO QUITAR EL FILTRO PERMANENTE
PARA LIMPIARLO
A través del uso normal, los
minerales y sedimentos del
agua quedan atrapados en el
filtro de mecha. Cuanto más
dura sea su agua, más cantidad
de minerales posee, y
necesitará limpiar el filtro más
frecuentemente.
Ustedpodrá controlarelestado delfiltrode suhumidificador
mediante el indicador FilterClean™. Cuando la unidad esté
apagada,elindicadordelFilterClean™estaráenlaposición
Off/Fill. Luego de 60 minutos de uso, el indicador
FilterClean™se moverá desde la posición Good eindicaráel
estado del filtro (refiérase a la figura 4 por una vista
ampliada del indicador). Un filtro nuevo se indicará dentro
del área azul como un filtro en buen estado. Luego de usar
su humidificador varias veces, el indicador FilterClean™ le
avisará cuando deba limpiar el filtro.
Cuandola aguja esté en la zona WashFilter, significa que el
aire no está recibiendo la cantidad adecuada de humedad
debido a la cantidad de minerales y sedimento acumulados
en su filtro. En ese momento, debe limpiar el filtro. Es muy
importante limpiar el filtro como se indica para obtener los
niveles de rendimiento especificados.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA DEL FILTRO
PERMANENTE
1. Debelimpiarlabandejade agua cada vez que limpie el
filtro.La bandeja de agua es una forma conveniente de
transportar el filtro y evitar que gotee.
2. Mezcle 1 cucharadita de detergente concentrado
antibacteriano para lavar vajillas en 4 litros (1 galón)
de agua tibia de la llave.
3. Remojeelfiltroen la solución durante 15 a 20 minutos.
4. Sumerja el filtro en la solución varias veces y presiónelo
suavemente para que suelte el agua jabonosa. Cerciórese
de no exprimir, halar ni frotar el filtro por se degradará.
5. Enjuáguelo bajo el chorro de agua fría de la llave hasta
que deje de salir el detergente. Podría notarse una
cierta descoloración; pero esto es normal y no afecta su
rendimiento.
6. Sacuda el filtro suavemente o presiónelo para sacarle el
excesodeagua. Si se va a almacenar,déjelo secaralaire.
7. Puede colocar el filtro directamente dentro del
humidificador cuando esté húmedo si es que lo volverá
a utilizar enseguida, o deje que se seque
completamente si está por guardar el humidificador.
Si su filtro se daña o se pierde, llame al número de servicio
al cliente que se indica en el manual para solicitar un
reemplazo, cuyo número de parte es: HWF75NG-P.
