Please make sure that the following parts for your lamp are enclosed:

Bayonet base halogen bulb made by Osram in Germany (100 Watts)E.
SHADE & BULB INSTALLATION
Insert the bulb into the bayonet socket. The bulb is inserted by1.
pushing it slightly down into the socket and then turning it clockwise.
NOTE: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB WITH YOUR BARE HANDS.
Set the glass shield (D) over the bulb and socket.2.
Set the glass shade (B) on the three-pronged glassholder, covering the bulb and3.
glass shield. See diagram.
Holding the metal ring (C) in your left hand, loosen the screw to allow the ring to slip4.
over the stem on the base of the lamp.
Insert the stem of the lamp into the hole on the ring just far enough down that the5.
glass is held in place by the ring (approximately 2 inches from the top of the stem).
Tighten the screw on the metal ring by hand.6.
Plug lamp into your outlet. The lamp is now operational.7.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean. If necessary, a slightly damp, soft cloth may be used
to spot clean.
Do not use common household cleaners or brass cleaners on lamps or fixtures, as the
lacquer on the outside of the brass may be damaged as a result.
Enjoy your new Holtkötter lamp. Note of Caution: The recommended replacement bulbs for this fixture are 100 W Osram
Bayonet Base Halogen bulbs. Use of other brands of unknown quality may cause a risk
of overheating.

Before replacing bulb, UNPLUG lamp and allow bulb to cool.1.
Bulb gets hot quickly. Only contact switch/plug when turning on.2.
DO NOT touch hot glass shield.3.
DO NOT remain in light if skin feels warm.4.
DO NOT look directly at a lighted bulb.5.
Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.6.
Use only with a 100 Watt bulb or smaller.7.
Use of the Osram bulb provided with this lamp prevents exposure to excessive UV8.
Radiation. Use of any other bulb may cause a risk of exposure to excessive UV
Radiation, a risk of overheating or may rupture the bulb.
