Priming the ater Collection System
W en your dryer is new, t e water container will not collect water until t e system is primed... t is will take 1 or 2 drying
cycles. Once primed it will collect water during every drying cycle.
STEP 1.
Open t e door of your
dryer.
STEP 2.
Pull out t e filter (using
t e two finger grips).
STEP 3.
Clean any fluff deposits
from t e filter mes .
STEP 4.
Refit t e filter - NEVER
run t e dryer wit out t e
filter in position.
For your Condenser dryer to operate efficiently, you must follow t e regular maintenance sc edule s own below:
STEP 1.
Pull t e water container
towards you and remove it
fully from t e dryer.
STEP 2.
Empty all t e water
collected in t e water
container.
STEP 3.
Refit t e water container,
ensuring t at it is pus ed
fully back into position.
!The ‘Empty ater’ light
stays on - To remind you to

at the start and at the
end of each drying cycle.

Installation
here to put your dryer
●Place your dryer at a distance from gas ranges,
stoves, eaters, or cook tops because flames can
damage t e appliance.
●If you are going to install t e
appliance under a work
counter, be sure to leave a
10mm space between t e top
and any ot er objects on or
above t e mac ine and a
15mm space between t e
sides and lateral furnis ings or
walls.
T is is to ensure proper air circulation.
!Make sure t at t e back vents are not obstructed.
Ventilation
W en t e dryer is in use, t ere as to be adequate
ventilation. Make sure you put your dryer in an
environment t at is not damp and as proper air
circulation t roug out. Airflow around t e dryer is
essential to condense t e water produced during t e
was ing, t e dryer will not operate efficiently in an
enclosed space or cupboard.
!If using t e dryer in a small or cold room some
condensation could be experienced.
!We do not recommend t at t e dryer is installed in a
cupboard but t e dryer must never be installed
be ind a lockable door, a sliding door or a door wit a
inge on t e opposite side to t at of t e dryer door.
Door Reversal Instructions
T e door of your dryer is reversible and can easily be
c anged. Exc ange diagonally inge brackets and
blanking screws. Exc ange door latc and catc wit
t eir opposite blanking plates (see diagram above).

If your dryer is installed next to a drain t e water can be
plumbed into t is drain. T is does away wit t e need to
empty t e water container. Simply remove t e top ose
from its top fitting at t e rear of t e dryer and plumb
t e ose provided to t e drain.
Electrical connections
Make sure of t e following before you insert t e plug into
t e t e electrical socket:
●T e socket must be grounded.
●T e socket must be able to sustain t e mac ines
maximum power, w ic is indicated on t e rating label
(see Dryer Description).
●Power voltage must be wit in t e values indicated on
t e rating label (see Dryer Description).
●T e socket must be compatible wit t e dryers plug.
●S ould t is not be t e case, replace t e plug or t e socket.
!Do not use extension cords.
!T e dryer must not be installed outdoors, even if t e space is
s eltered. It can be very dangerous if it is exposed to rain or
storms.
!Once installed, t e dryers electrical wire and plug must be
wit in easy reac .
!T e power cord must not be bent or squas ed.
!T e power cord supplied is fitted wit a BS1363 plug and a 13
amp BS1362 fuse. If you need to replace t e fuse, use only
t ose rated at 13 amp (13A) and ASTA approved to
BS1362.

!T e plug must not be used wit out
t e fuse cover in place.
If a replacement fuse older/cover is
required, it must be of t e same
colour coding or wording as s own
on t e base of t e plug.

Changing the plug
T e wires in t e power cord are coloured in accordance wit t e
following:
!If t e plug being replaced is a non-rewirable type, t en t e
cut-off plug must be disposed of safely. DO NOT leave it
w ere it can be inserted into a socket and create a s ock
azard.
!T e power supply cord s ould be c ecked periodically and
replaced by a cord specially prepared for t is dryer and fitted
only by aut orised tec nicians (see Service). New or longer
power cords are supplied at an extra c arge by aut orised
dealers.
!T e manufacturer denies any responsibility s ould any of
t ese rules not be followed.
!If in doubt about any of t e above consult a qualified
electrician.
Before you start using your dryer
Once you ave installed your dryer and before you use it,
clean t e inside of t e drum to remove any dust t at could
ave accumulated during transport.

Note: If t e water container fills and t e lig t flas es,
t e eat is turned off and your laundry will not dry.
T e On/Off indicator lig t signals t at your dryer
is in use or ready to select a programme. If t is lig t
flas es it indicates t ere is a fault (see Troubleshooting).
T e ON/OFF button : If t e dryer is running and
t is button is pressed, t e dryer stops. Press again,
t e dryer restarts.
T e Progress or Delay lig ts s ow you t e status of
t e programme, or t e delay time w en t ey flas .
During a delayed start t e lig ts will flas to s ow t e
delay selected. W en (not flas ing) t ey s ow eac
stage of t e programme by t e corresponding lig t
turning on (see Start and Programmes).
T e PROGRAMMES knob sets t e programme: rotate
it until t e indicator is pointing to t e programme you
want to select (see Start and Programmes).
T e START/CANCEL button starts a selected
programme. W en you press t is button t ere will be
one beep and t e progress lig ts will flas to confirm
t e action. If you ave not set a programme, t e buzzer
will beep four times. W en a programme is running,
olding t is button in cancels t e programme and stops
t e dryer (see Start and Programmes).
T e OPTION buttons select available options for your
selected programme (see Start and Programmes).
T e Option lig ts indicate t at t e option as been
selected by t e button to t e left of t e appropriate
lig t.
T e DDrryyiinngg GGuuiiddeeallows you to consult a user friendly
table of fabric types and load capacities.
T e Empty ater lig t signals t at t e water container
s ould be emptied. W en it is flas ing it indicates t at
t e container is full.
T e lig t will take a few seconds to go out after
replacing t e empty container, t e dryer must be

Choosing a programme
1. Plug t e dryer into t e electrical socket.
2. Sort your laundry according to fabric type (see
Laundry).
3. Open t e door and make sure t e filter is clean
and in place and t e water container is empty
and in place (see Maintenance).
4. Load t e mac ine and make sure items are not
in t e way of t e door seal. Close t e door.
5. If t e On/Off lig t is not lit: Press t e ON/OFF
button .
6. C oose a programme by c ecking t e Programmes
Guide (see Programmes) as well as t e indications
for eac type of fabric (see Laundry).
- Select a programme by rotating t e
PROGRAMMES knob.
7. Set a delay time and ot er options if necessary.
8. If you wis to select t e buzzer sound, at t e end
of t e programme, press t e ALARM Option button.
9. Press t e START button to begin.
During t e drying programme, you can c eck on
your laundry and take out items t at are dry
w ile ot ers continue drying. W en you close
t e door again, press t e START button in order
to resume drying.
10. During t e last few minutes of Drying
Programmes, before t e programme is
completed, t e final COOL TUMBLE p ase is
entered (fabrics are cooled), t is p ase s ould
always be allowed to complete.
11. W en t e programme is complete. T e buzzer
will sound if t e Alarm option was selected.
Open t e door, take t e laundry out, clean t e
filter and replace it. Empty t e water container
and replace it (see Maintenance).
If t e Post Creasecare option as been selected
and you do not remove t e laundry immediately,
t e dryer will tumble occasionally for 10 ours or
until you open t e door.
12. Unplug t e dryer.
Easy Iron Programme
‘Easy Iron’ is a s ort 10 minute programme (8 minutes of eat followed by a 2 minute cool tumble period) w ic
fluffs t e fibres of clot ing t at ave been left in t e same position/location for an extended period of time.
T e cycle relaxes t e fibres and makes t em easier to iron and fold.
!‘Easy Iron’ is not a drying programme and s ould not be used for wet articles of clot ing.
For best results:
1. Do not load more t an t e maximum capacity.

T e ‘Easy Iron’ effect varies from one fabric to t e next. It works well on traditional fabrics like Cotton or
Cotton mix, and less well on acrylic fibres and on materials suc as Tencel®.

Alarm
Available on all programmes and allows t e buzzer to
give a signal at t e end of t e drying cycle, to remind
you t at t e clot es are ready to be removed.
Press t e button and t e lig t will s ow t at t e
option is selected.
Post Creasecare
T e clot es are occasionally tumbled after t e end of
t e drying and cool tumble cycles, to elp prevent
creases developing s ould you not be available to
remove t e load immediately t e programme is complete.
Empty ater light / container
(If you ave plumbed your dryer to a drain t is lig t can be
ignored, as t ere is no need to empty t e water container).
W en t is lig t is on (not flas ing) it reminds you to
empty t e water container.
If t e water container fills during a programme, t e
eater turns off and t e dryer does a period of Cool
Tumble t en t e lig t flas es and t e buzzer sounds.
After t is it stops and all 3 progress lig ts and t e 3 r
delay lig t come on and t e empty water lig t flas es.
You must empty t e container and restart t e dryer
or t e clot es will not dry. After restarting t e dryer
t e lig t will take a few seconds to go out.
To avoid t is, always empty t e water container eac
time you use t e dryer (see Maintenance).
●Door Opening
Opening t e door during a programme will stop t e
dryer and ave t e following effects:
●All 3 progress lig ts come on.
●During a delay p ase t e delay will continue to
count down. T e start button must be pressed to
resume t e delay programme.
One of t e delay lig ts will flas to s ow t e
current delay setting.
●T e start button must be pressed to resume t e
programme. T e progress lig ts will c ange to
s ow t e current status.
●During t e cool tumble or post creasecare p ase
of a drying programme and anytime during an
Airing or Cool Tumble programme, t e programme
will finis . Pressing t e start button will re-start
a new programme at t e beginning.
●C anging t e programmes knob will select a new
programme, after you press t e start button. You
can use t is to select t e Cool Tumble programme
to cool t e clot es, if you find t em dry enoug .
●Note
If you ave a power cut, switc off t e power or remove
t e plug. W en power is restored, press t e START
button and t e programme will resume.
●PROGRAMMES knob
!arning, after pressing t e START button t e
programme cannot be c anged.
!Position 0, turning t e knob to position 0 resets and
cancels a programme.
●OPTION buttons / lights
T ese buttons are used to customise t e selected
programme to your requirements. A programme must
ave been selected on t e PROGRAMMES knob before
an option can be selected. Not all options are available
for all programmes (see Start and Programmes). If an
option is not available and you press t e button, t e
buzzer will beep four times. If t e option is available
t ere will be one beep and t e option lig t next to t e
button lig ts to confirm t e selection.
Progress (Drying, Cool Tumble, Post Creasecare) /
Delay (3hr 6hr 9hr 12hr) Lights
W en t e lig t next to t e delay button is on, t ese lig ts
flas to indicate t e delay time is selected. During ot er
programmes t ey indicate t e progress of t e dryer,
eac one comes on as t e corresponding p ase starts.
Time Delay
T e start of some programmes (see Start and
Programmes) can be delayed for up to 12 ours in 3 r
steps. Ensure t e water bottle is emptied before
setting a delayed start.
W en a delayed start is in progress t e lig t next to t e
delay button will be on and t e selected delay period
lig t will flas (after t e start button as been pressed).
To set a delayed start, press t e Time Delay button,
and t e lig t next to t e button will come on toget er
wit t e 3 r delay lig t. Pressing t e button again will
advance t e delay setting to 6 r, t e 3 r lig t goes
out and t e 6 r lig t is on. Eac time you press t e
button t e delay setting advances 3 ours, as indicated
by t e corresponding lig t. If t e 12 r lig t is on,
pressing t e button again will cancel t e delay.
You can also cancel t e delay by turning t e programmes
knob to 0, wait for t e buzzer to beep and t en turn
back to your selected programme.
Pre Creasecare
W en a delayed start as been selected, t e clot es
are tumbled occasionally during t e delayed period to
elp prevent creases developing.
High Heat
W en available t is button selects ig eat. Press t is
button and a ig eat setting is selected and t e lig t
alongside t e button comes on.
Timed programmes ave a default of low eat.
If t e lig t alongside t e button is on, pressing t e
button selects a low eat setting and t e lig t goes out.

damp if you grouped cottons and synt etics toget er.

ash Care Labels
Look at t e labels on your garments, especially w en
tumble drying for t e first time. T e following symbols
are t e most common:

hat not to tumble dry in your dryer:
●Articles t at containing rubber or rubber-like
materials or plastic film (pillows, cus ions, or PVC
rainwear), any ot er flammable articles or objects
t at contain flammable substances (towels soiled
wit air spray).
●Glass fibres (certain types of draperies).
●Items w ic ave been dry cleaned.
●Items wit t e ITCL Code (see Special
clothing items). T ese can be cleaned wit special
at- ome dry cleaning products. Follow instructions
carefully.
●Large bulky items (quilts, sleeping bags, pillows,
cus ions, large bedspreads etc). T ese expand
w en drying and would prevent airflow t roug
t e dryer.

Special clothing items
Blankets and Bedspreads: acrylic items (Acilan,
Courtelle, Orion, Dralon) must be dried wit special
care on LOW eat setting. Avoid drying for a long
period of time.
Pleated or creased garments: read t e manufacturer’s
drying instructions on t e garment.
Starched articles: do not dry t ese wit non-
starc ed items. Make sure t at as muc of t e
starc solution is removed from t e load as possible
before placing it in t e dryer. Do not over-dry: t e
starc will become powdery and leave your clot ing
limp, w ic defeats t e purpose of starc .

Times are approximate and can vary depending upon:
●Amount of water retained in clot es after spin
cycle: towels and delicates retain a lot of water.
●Fabrics: items t at are t e same type of fabric but
different textures and t icknesses may not ave
t e same drying time.
●Quantity of laundry: single items or small loads
may take longer to dry.
●Dryness: If you are going to iron some of your
clot es, t ey can be taken out w ile still a bit
damp. Ot ers can be left longer if you need t em
to be completely dry.
●Heat setting.
●Room temperature: if t e room w ere t e dryer is
located is cold, it will take longer for t e dryer to
dry your clot es.
●Bulk: some bulky items can be tumble dried wit
care. We suggest t at you remove t ese items
several times, s ake t em out, and return t em to
t e dryer until finis ed.
!Do not over-dry your clot es.
All fabrics contain a little natural moisture, w ic
keeps t em soft and fluffy.

●Unplug t e mac ine by pulling on t e plug, not
t e cord.
●C ildren must not be in proximity of t e dryer
w en in use. After using t e dryer, turn it off and
unplug it. Keep t e door closed to make sure t at
c ildren do not use it as a toy.
●T e appliance must be installed correctly and ave
proper ventilation. T e air intake at t e front of

●Do not tumble dry rubber, foam rubber, plastic, plastic
foam, nappy pants or liners, polyt ene or paper.
●Do not tumble dry large, very bulky items.
●Do not tumble dry acrylic fibres at ig temperatures.
●Complete eac programme wit its Cool Tumble P ase.

Recycling and disposal information
As part of our continued commitment to elping t e
environment, we reserve t e rig t to use quality recycled
components to keep down customer costs and minimise
material wastage.
●Disposing of t e packaging material: follow local
regulations, so t at packaging can be recycled.
●To minimise risk of injury to c ildren, remove t e
door and plug - t en cut off mains cable, flus
wit t e appliance. Dispose of t ese parts separately
to ensure t at t e appliance can no longer be
plugged into a mains socket.
Disposal of old electrical appliances
T e European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires t at old

appliances must be collected separately in order to

Saving energy and respecting the
environment
●Wring out items to eliminate excess water before
tumble drying (if you use a was ing mac ine first,
select a ig spin cycle). Doing t is will save time
and energy during drying.
●Always dry full loads - you save energy: single items
or small loads take longer to dry.
●Clean t e filter after eac use to contain energy

Empty the water container after each

Pull t e container out of t e dryer and empty it into a
sink or ot er suitable drain.
Replace t e water container securely.
Always c eck and empty t e container before you
start a new drying programme.
Cleaning the condenser unit
Periodically (every mont ) remove t e condenser unit
and clean any build up of fluff from between t e plates
by rinsing it under t e tap wit cold water. T is s ould
be done wit cold water from t e rear of t e
condenser.
Removing t e condenser:
1. Unplug t e dryer and open t e door.
2. Pull open t e condenser cover (see diagram).
Release t e t ree catc es by turning 90˚ counter-
clockwise t en pull on t e grip and remove from
t e dryer.
3. Clean t e surface of t e seals and replace wit t e
arrows pointing upwards, making sure t at t e
catc es ave been secured.
Cleaning the dryer
●External parts in metal or plastic and rubber parts
can be cleaned wit a damp clot .
●Periodically (every 6 mont s) vacuum t e front air
intake grille and vents at t e rear of t e dryer, to
remove any build up of fluff, lint or dust. Also to
remove accumulation of fluff from t e front of t e
condenser and filter areas, clean occasionally wit
a vacuum cleaner.
!Do not use solvents or abrasives.
!Your dryer uses special bearing components w ic
do not need lubrication.
!Have your dryer c ecked regularly by aut orised
tec nicians to ensure electrical and mec anical safety
(see Service).
Switching off the electricity
!Unplug your dryer w en not using it, w en cleaning it
and during all maintenance operations.
Clean the filter after each cycle
T e filter is an important part of your dryer:
it accumulates lint and fluff t at is formed w ile drying.
W en finis ed drying, clean t e filter by rinsing it
under running water or wit your vacuum cleaner.
S ould t e filter become clogged up, t e airflow inside
t e dryer will be seriously compromised: drying times
lengt en and you will consume more energy. It may
also damage your dryer.
T e filter is found in front of t e dryer trim (see diagram).
Removing t e filter:
1. Pull t e plastic grip of t e filter upwards (see diagram).
2. Clean t e filter and replace it correctly.
Ensure t e filter is fully located flus into t e
tumble dryer trim.
!Do not use t e dryer wit out replacing t e filter.
Check the drum after each cycle
Turn t e drum manually in order to remove small
items ( andkerc iefs) t at could ave been left
be ind.
Cleaning the drum
!Do not use abrasives, steel wool or stainless steel
cleaning agents to clean t e drum.
A coloured film may start to appear on t e stainless
steel drum, t is may be caused by a combination of
water and, or cleaning agents suc as fabric conditioner
from t e was . T is coloured film will not affect t e
dryers performance.

Problem:
The dryer won’t start.
Drying cycle will not begin.
Its taking a long time to dry.
Empty water light is flashing
but the dryer has only been
running for a short period.

Possible causes / Solution:
●T e plug is not plugged into t e socket, or not making contact.
●T ere as been a power failure.
●T e fuse as blown. Try to plug anot er appliance into t e socket.
●You are using an extension cord? Try to plug t e dryer’s power cord
directly into t e socket.
●T e door is not closed securely?
●T e PROGRAMMES knob as not been set properly (see Start and
Programmes).
●T e START button as not been pressed (see Start and Programmes).
●You ave set a delayed time (see Start and Programmes).
●T e filter as not been cleaned (see Maintenance).
●T e condenser needs cleaning? (see Maintenance).
●T e water container needs emptying? T e empty water lig t is flas ing?
(see Maintenance).
●T e temperature setting is not ideal for t e type of fabric you are drying
(see Start and Programmes, and see Laundry).
●T e correct drying time as not been selected for t e load (see Laundry).
●T e air intake grille or rear vents are obstructed (see Installation, and
see Maintenance).
●T e items were too wet (see Laundry).
●T e dryer was overloaded (see Laundry).
l●T e water container was probably not emptied at t e start of t e
programme. Do not wait for t e empty water signal, always c eck and
empty t e container before starting a new drying programme (see
Maintenance).
●T is is normal, t e lig t flas es w en t e container is full. If t e lig t is
on but not flas ing it is just a reminder to empty t e container (see
Start and Programmes).
●Note down t e ot er lig ts t at are on and contact t e Service Centre

!For safety t e dryer as a maximum programme time of 3 ours. If an
automatic programme as not sensed t e required final moisture in t is
time t e dryer will complete t e programme and stop. C eck t e above
points and run t e programme again, if t e results are still damp, contact
