Levelling yo r appliance correctly will provide it with
stability and avoid any vibrations, noise and shifting
d ring operation. If it is placed on a fitted or loose
carpet, adj st the feet in s ch a way as to allow
eno gh room for ventilation beneath the washing
machine.
Keep this instr ction man al in a safe place for

Electric and ater connections

Before making the connections, allow the water to
r n freely ntil it is perfectly clear.
2. Connect the other angled end of the water inlet
hoses to the washing machine, screwing them onto
the appliance's cold and hot water inlets, sit ated on
the top right-hand side and in the low part of the
rear of the appliance (see figure aside).

Unpacking and levelling
Unpacking
1. Unpack the washing
machine.
2. Check whether the
washing machine has
been damaged d ring
transport. If this is
the case, do not
install it and contact
yo r retailer.
3. Remove the fo r
protective screws
and the r bber
washer with the
respective spacer,
sit ated on the rear
of the appliance (see figure).
4. Seal the gaps sing the plastic pl gs provided.
5. Keep all the parts: yo will need them again if
the washing machine needs to be moved to
another location.
Warning: sho ld the screws be re- sed, make s re
yo fasten the shorter ones at the top.
!Packaging materials are not children's toys.
Levelling

pensate for any
nevenness by
tightening or loosening
the adj stable front feet (see figure); the angle of
inclination, meas red according to the worktop,
m st not exceed 2°.

Connecting the drain
hose
Connect the drain

(see figure). The free
end of the hose sho ld not be nderwater.
 We advise against the se of hose extensions; in
case of absol te need, the extension m st have
the same diameter as the original hose and m st
not exceed 150 cm in length.
Electric connection
Before pl gging the appliance into the mains
socket, make s re that:
the socket is earthed and in compliance with
the applicable law;
the socket is able to s stain the appliance's
maxim m power load indicated in the Technical
details table (see page 5);
the s pply voltage is incl ded within the val es
indicated on the Technical details table
(see page 5);
the socket is compatible with the washing
machine's pl g. If this is not the case, replace
the socket or the pl g.
Yo r appliance is now s pplied with a 13 amp f sed
pl g it can be pl gged into a 13 amp socket for
immediate se. Before sing the appliance please
read the instr ctions below.
WARNING.
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS SHOULD BE
CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
Replacing the fuse:
When replacing a fa lty f se, a 13 amp ASTA
approved f se to BS 1362 sho ld always be sed,
and the f se cover re-fitted. If the f se cover is
lost, the pl g m st not be sed ntil a replacement
is obtained.
Replacement fuse covers:
If a replacement f se cover is fitted, it m st be of
the correct colo r as indicated by the colo red
marking or the colo r that is embossed in words on
the base of the pl g. Replacements can be obtained
directly from yo r nearest Service Depot.
Removing the plug:
If yo r appliance has a non-rewireable mo lded pl g
and yo sho ld wish to re-ro te the mains cable
thro gh partitions, nits etc., please ens re that
either:
the pl g is replaced by a f sed 13 ampere re-
wearable pl g bearing the BSI mark of approval.
or:
the mains cable is wired directly into a 13 amp
cable o tlet, controlled by a switch, (in compliance
with BS 5733) which is accessible witho t moving
the appliance.
Disposing of the plug:
Ens re that before disposing of the pl g itself, yo
make the pins n sable so that it cannot be
accidentally inserted into a socket.
Instr ctions for connecting cable to an alternative pl g:
Important: the wires in the mains lead are colo red
in accordance with the following code:
Green & Yello Earth
Blue Neutral
Bro n Live
As the colo rs of the wires in the lead may not
correspond with the colo red markings identifyng
the terminals in yo r pl g, proceed as follows:
-Connect Green & Yellow wire to terminal marked E
or or colo red Green or Green & Yellow.
-Connect Brown wire to terminal marked L or
colo red Red.
-Connect Bl e wire to terminal marked N or
colo red Black.

If a 13 amp pl g (BS 1363) is sed it m st be fitted
with a 13 amp f se, either in the pl g or adaptor or
at the distrib tion board.
If yo are in any do bt the electrical s pply to yo r
machine, cons lt a q alified electrician before se.
How to connect an alternative pl g:
The wires in this mains lead are colo red in
accordance with the following code:

Disposing of the appliance:
When disposing of the appliance please remove
the pl g by c tting the mains cable as close as
possible to the pl g body and dispose of it as
described above.

The first ash cycle
Once the appliance has been installed, and before
yo se it for the first time, r n a wash cycle with
detergent and no la ndry, setting the 90°C
programme witho t a pre-wash cycle.

Washing machine description
Detergent dispenser: to add detergent and
fabric softener (see page 10).
LEDS: to find o t which wash cycle phase is nder way.
If the Time Delay f nction has been set, the time
left ntil the programme starts will be indicated
(see page 7).
FUNCTION b ttons: to select the f nctions
available. The b tton corresponding to the
f nction selected will remain on.
VARIABLE SPIN SPEED knob: to set the spin speed
or excl de the spin cycle completely (see page 9).
VARIABLE TEMPERATURE knob: to set the tem-
perat re or the cold wash cycle (see page 9).
ON/OFF b tton: to t rn the washing machine on
and off.
START/RESET b tton: to start the programmes
or cancel any incorrect settings.
DOOR LOCKED Led: to find o t whether the
washing machine is on and if the appliance door
can be opened (see page 6).
WASH PROGRAMME knob: to select the wash
programmes (see page 8). The retractable control
knob: press the centre of the knob for it to pop
o t. The knob stays still d ring the cycle.

LID DOOR LOCKED led:
If this LED is on, the appliance lid door is locked to prevent it from being opened accidentally; to avoid any
damages, wait for the LED to flash before yo open the appliance door.
 The rapid flashing of the LID DOOR LOCKED Led together with the flashing of at least one other LED
indicates there is an abnormality. Call for Technical Assistance.

Function buttons
The FUNCTION BUTTONS also act like LEDS.
When a f nction is selected, the corresponding
b tton is ill minated.
If the f nction selected is incompatible with the
programme set, the b tton will flash and the
f nction will not be enabled.
If yo set a f nction that is incompatible with
another f nction yo selected previo sly, only the
last one selected will be enabled.
Leds
The LEDS provide important information.
This is what they can tell yo :
Delay set:
If the Time Delay start f nction has been enabled
(see page. 9), once yo have started the
programme, the LED corresponding to the delay
set will begin to flash:
As time passes, the remaining delay will be
displayed, and the corresponding LED will flash:
Once the set delay is complete, the flashing LED
will t rn off and the programme set will start.

A) Opening (Fig. 1).
Lift the external lid and open it completely.
B) Then open the dr m sing both hands as
shown in Fig. 2:
- press the b tton indicated by the arrow in Fig. 2
lightly downwards, with one hand firmly resting on
the doors to prevent them from s ddenly opening
and h rting yo r fingers;
- therefore follow the appliance doors along as these
nhook and open easily.

door followed by the rear one;
- then ens re the hooks on the front door are
perfectly ho sed within the seat of the rear door;
- after the hooks have clicked into position, press
both doors lightly downwards to make s re they
do not come loose;
- finally sh t the external lid.

Special programme.
Daily 0' (programme J for Synthetics) is designed to wash lightly soiled garments in a short amo nt of time: it
only lasts 30 min tes and allows yo to save on both time and energy. By setting this programme (J at 30°C), yo
can wash different fabrics together (except for woollen and silk items), with a maxim m load of 3 kg.
We recommend the use of liquid detergent.
Briefly: starting a programme
1. Switch the washing machine on by pressing
b tton . All the LEDS will light p for a few
seconds and the ON-OFF LID DOOR LOCKED Led
will begin to flash.
2. Load yo r la ndry into the washing machine, add
the detergent and any fabric softener (see page 10)
and sh t the appliance door.
3. Set the WASH PROGRAMME knob to the
programme req ired.
4. Set the wash temperat re (see page 9).
5. Set the spin speed (see page 9).
6. Start he programme by pressing the START/RESET
b tton. To cancel it, keep the START/RESET b tton
pressed for at least 2 seconds.
7. When the programme is finished, the ON-OFF
LID DOOR LOCKED Led will flash to indicate that
the appliance door can be opened. Take o t yo r
la ndry and leave the appliance door ajar to
allow the dr m to dry thoro ghly. T rn the
washing machine off by pressing b tton .

Setting the temperature (Variable Temperature )
T rn the VARIABLE TEMPERATURE knob to set the wash temperat re (see Programme table on page 8).
The temperat re can be lowered, or even set to a cold wash (No Heat).
Setting the spin speed (Variable Spin)
T rn the VARIABLE SPIN SPEED knob to set the spin speed for the programme selected.
The maxim m spin speeds for each programme are as follows:

The spin speed can be lowered, or the spin cycle can be excl ded altogether by selecting No Spin.
The washing machine will a tomatically prevent yo from selecting a spin speed higher than the maxim m
speed for each programme.
Functions

1. press the b tton corresponding to the desired f nction, according to the table below;
2. the f nction is enabled when the corresponding b tton is ill minated.
Note: The rapid flashing of the b tton indicates that the corresponding f nction cannot be selected for the
programme set.

Detergent dispenser
Good washing res lts also depend on the correct
dose of detergent: adding too m ch detergent
won't necessarily make for a more efficient wash,
and may in fact ca se b ild p on the interior of
yo r appliance and
even poll te the
environment.
Open p the
detergent dispenser
and po r in the
detergent and fabric
softener, as follows:
compartment 1: Detergent for pre- ash
(po der)
compartment 2: Detergent for the ash cycle
(po der or liquid)
Liq id detergent sho ld only be po red in
immediately prior to the wash cycle start.
 Do not se hand wash detergent beca se it may
form too m ch foam
compartment 3: Additives (fabric softeners, etc.)
When po ring the softener in compartment 3,
avoid exceeding the "max" level indicated.
The softener is added a tomatically into the
machine d ring the last wash. At the end of the
wash programme, some water will be left in
compartment 3. This is sed for the inlet of
denser fabric softeners into the machine, i.e. to
dil te the more concentrated softeners. Sho ld
more than a normal amo nt of water remain in
compartment 3, this means the emptying device is
blocked. For cleaning instr ctions, see page 12.
The fabric softener sho ld not overflow from the grid.
compartment 4: Bleach
Bleach cycle
Bleach is NOT required when using UK washing
detergents.
ONLY USE washing machine la ndry bleach in
compartment 4.
When po ring in the bleach, be caref l not to
exceed the "max" level indicated on compartment 4
(see figure).
Yo can r n the bleach cycle for cotton
programmes. When sed alone, po r the bleach
into compartment 4 and set the Rinse programme.
Most UK washing detergents do not req ire
la ndry bleach adding to the wash cycle.
Preparing your laundry
Divide yo r la ndry according to:
- the type of fabric/the symbol on the label.
- the colo rs: separate colo red garments
from whites.
Empty all pockets and check for loose b ttons.
Do not exceed the weight limits stated below,
which refer to the weight when dry:

Synthetic fabrics: max 2.5 kg
Delicate fabrics: max 2 kg
Wool: max 1 kg

Special items
Curtains: fold c rtains and place them in a pillow
case or mesh bag. Wash them separately witho t
exceeding half the appliance load. Use programme
L which excl des the spin cycle a tomatically.
Quilted coats and indbreakers: if they are
padded with goose or d ck down, they can be
machine-washed. T rn the garments inside o t
and load a maxim m of 2-3 kg, repeating the rinse
cycle once or twice and sing the delicate spin
cycle.
Trainers: remove any m d. They can be washed
together with jeans and other to gh garments,
b t not with whites.
Wool: for best res lts, se a specific detergent,
taking care not to exceed a load of 1 kg.
