Section 1 Safety Information
Before starting the installation job, it’s very important to read the entire instructions below.
Make sure that you understand these in order to avoid any potential hazards. Failure to
do so may result in serious personal injury or damage to the equipment.
Electric Shock
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, connect only to a properly grounded, grounding-type
outlet. If in doubt, have the outlet checked by a qualified electrician.
• This unit is to be used in a circuit protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
• Disconnect the unit from the power source before anyone enter into water area.
• This fountain has not been investigated for use in swimming pool areas.
Safety Precautions
• NEVER run the unit out of the water. The heat would ruin the motor in a short time and
create a dangerous situation for the operator.
• NEVER lift or drag the fountain by the power cord. Fixed rope is provided for lifting and
carrying.
• If installing the fountain from a boat or raft ALWAYS wear a Coast Guard-approved life
jacket.
• ALWAYS use a qualified electrician to install a power source next to your pond
This product must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric
current. This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with an appropriate
grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and
grounded.
