This is everything you will need to install the HUB Controller:

Installation Instructions

The HUB Controller was built to directly replace any mechanical
thermostat.
To check the HUB Controller’s compatibility with a heating system:
Mechanical Thermostat
The HUB Controller can replace any mechanical
thermostat, regardless of the fuel type.

Programmer or Timer Clock
If the heating system is not controlled by a mechanical
thermostat, but by a programmer instead, the HUB
Controller can replace the programmer or timer clock.
No Thermostat or Programmer
If there is neither a mechanical thermostat nor a
programmer or a timer clock controlling the heating
system, the HUB Controller may still be compatible.

Switching current:
When installed in a 2-wire mode, the maximum switching current is 50mA.
When installed in a 3-wire mode, the maximum switching current is 2A.
The HUB Controller is compatible
with 99.3% of all boilers.

Depending on the heating system, the HUB Controller can be installed in
two dierent ways:
NOTE: The HUB Controller should be installed by a professional.

1. Turn o the power to your
heating system at the mains
using the circuit breaker.
2. Remove your mechanical
thermostat. Safely
disconnect the wires.
3. Install the HUB Base Plate unit and
connect the 2 wires to ‘L’ and ‘V1’ on the
base plate.
WARNING: Installing the wires
incorrectly will damage your HUB.
4. Tighten the HUB Base Plate to your wall
using the screws provided. Don’t forget to
use the washer to make sure it’s level.
5. Connect the HUB Display to the base
plate aligning the display with the right
side of the base plate. Once done, push the
le side into place until it ‘clicks’.
6. The HUB Controller will start
automatically so follow the on screen
instructions to proceed to setup.
NOTE: You now need to put your
programmer or clock to constant on (not
o or auto).

1. Turn o the power to your
heating system at the mains
using the circuit breaker.
2. Remove your mechanical
thermostat. Safely

3. Install the HUB Base Plate unit and
connect the 2 wires; Lto the top, V1 to the
centre and N to the bottom.
WARNING: Installing the wires
incorrectly will damage your HUB.
4. Tighten the HUB Base Plate to your wall
using the screws provided. Don’t forget to
use the washer to make sure it’s level.
5. Connect the HUB Display to the base
plate aligning the display with the right
side of the base plate. Once done, push the
le side into place until it ‘clicks’.
6. The HUB Controller will start
automatically so follow the on screen
instructions to proceed to setup.
NOTE: You now need to put your
programmer or clock to constant on (not
o or auto).

The only way to take the HUB Controller o the wall is by using the HUB
Child Safety Tool.
To remove the HUB o the wall:
1. Place the Child Safety
Tool on the le side of the
HUB Controller. Make sure
that the two teeth align
with the release buttons.
2. Insert the tool into the
device and press against it.
The le side of the device
will disconnect first, and
then you can remove it
completely from the wall.

Aer the installation is complete, the HUB Controller will start
automatically.
The HUB Controller is now fully ready to use.
In order to connect the HUB to a
mobile phone, you need to install the
HUB Controller app on the phone.
The HUB Controller
will operate on its
own without being
connected to Wi-Fi.
However, a Wi-Fi
connection is
required to control
the device from the
HUB Controller
mobile app.
1. Select the network
The device will begin to scan the
home for wireless networks. Once
the HUB has discovered all the
available networks, select the
home’s Wi-Fi from the list.
2. Insert the network details
Once the Wi-Fi network has been
selected, type in the password to
access it.
3. Add a mobile user
Once the connection has
established, the HUB can now be
connected to a mobile phone. Go
to ‘Menu’ and click on ‘Add User’.
The device will display 7 digits.
Type that code into the mobile
phone app to pair the phone with
the device.

HUB Controls Ltd. warrants to the original end-customer that this product will be free from defects in workman-
ship or materials under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the
consumer. If at any time during the warranty period the product malfunctions or is determined to be defective,
HUB Controls will repair or replace it (at HUB Controls’ option) without charge. HUB Controls may, at its option,
use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any
replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30)
days, whichever is longer. Shipping and handling charges may apply.
If the product is defective,
i) return it with dated proof of purchase to the place from which you purchased it; or
ii) call HUB Customer Support, who will determine whether the product should be returned to HUB Controls or
whether a replacement product will be sent to you.
This warranty does not cover removal or re-installation costs.
This warranty will not apply if it is shown by HUB Controls that the defect or malfunction was caused by damage
which occurred while the product was in the possession of the consumer through:
i) accident, abuse, or misapplication; or
ii) any unauthorised repair, modification or disassembly; or
iii) improper operation, maintenance or usage not in accordance with product instructions; or
iv) connection to improper voltage supply.

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ANY BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OR ANY OTHER FAILURE OF THIS PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS
WARRANTY HUB Controls Ltd. MAKES ON THIS PRODUCT.
THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS HEREBY LIMITED TO THE ONE-YEAR DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is non-transferable and is limited to the original
purchaser. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other statutory rights that vary
