ThisNetworkIPCameraissophisticatedelectronicdevice;donot
dropitfromhighplaces.
DonotplacethisIPCameraathot/humidplaces,andavoiddirect
sunlight.
ThisIPCameraisnotatoy;keepitoutfromthereachofchildren.
DonotinsertanyaccessoriesofthisIPCameraintoyourbody.
Makesurelenssetissecuredwhenyou’reusingthisIPCamera,lens
setmayfalldownifit’snotproperlysecured,andcausedamageto
humananditself.
IfyouwanttousethisIPCameraatanyplacethatmaybespilledby
waterordirt,asecureandwater‐proofcamerahousingisrequired.
DonotpullanycordthatisconnectedtothisIPCamerabyforce.
IPCamerawillbecomehotafterlongtimeofuse.Refrainfromtouch
IPCamerawithhand,orcoverthisIPcamerawithpaperorcloth.
NeverconnectpoweredcabletoIPCamera’sDI/DOcontacts.
IftheIPCamerafallsintowaterwhenpowered,donotattemptto
retrieveitbackbyyourself!Findaqualifiedelectrictechnicianfor
help.

1. SecurethewallmountingmetalplateAonthewall,secureitby4
screwsatthescrewholesindicatedbyblackarrows.Youcansecureit
upside‐downwhenrequired.

2. InsertwallmountingmetalplateBintotheslotatthebottomofthis
IPcamerabythedirectionindicatedbyblackarrow.
3. SecurewallmountingmetalplateBby2screws.

4. InserttheIPcamera(withwallmountingmetalplateBinstalled)into
wallmountingmetalplateA,whichisalreadysecuredonthewall.
5. SecuretheIPcameraonthewallbysecuringwallmountingmetal
plateAandBtogetherbyscrewattheplaceindicatedbyblackarrow.

Whenmountedonthewall,cablescanpassthroughwallmounting
metalplateAasindicatedbythepicturebelow.
6. InsertEthernetcabletotheEthernetportofthisIPcamera.Ifthe
otherterminalofthecableisconnectedtoaPoEswitchthenthe
devicewillgetpowerfromtheEthernetcableandthepoweradaptor
isnomorerequired.

7. InsertDI/DOsignalcable(s)intoDI/DOportofthisIPcamera.Ifyou
don’thaveDI/DOaccessories,youcanskipthisstep.

8. InsertACpoweradapter’scableintoDC12VportofthisIPcamera.
TheLEDlightsshouldlightupafterfewseconds,andtheIPcamera
willtestitsPan/Tiltmotorwithin1minute(DonotdisturbIPcamera
atthisstage).Pleaserefertofollowingchaptersfordetailedoperating
instructions.

2.1LocatetheIPaddressofNetworkPan/TiltIPCamera
YoucanuseyournewNetworkPan/TiltIPCamerabyitswebuser
interfaceviawebbrowser.CurrentlyonlyMicrosoft’sInternetExploreris
supported.**
YoumustknowtheIPaddressofIPCamerabeforeyoucanconnecttoit.
TheIPCamerawilluseDHCPserveronyourlocalnetworktoobtainanIP
addressautomaticallybydefault.So,youcancheckyourDHCPserver’s
IPaddressleasetabletofindtheIPaddressofIPCamera.
Youcanalsousetheutilitynamed‘IPFinder.exe’tofindtheIPaddressof
IPCamera,whichislocatedonCD‐ROM:
Press‘Discover’buttontosearchforallIPCamerasonyourlocalnetwork
(makesureallIPCamerasarepoweredonandconnecttolocalnetwork
first).WhenyoufindanyIPCamera,youcanclickonitandclick‘Link’
buttontoconnecttoitbyyourwebbrowser.
IfyouneedtochangeacertainIPCamera’sIPaddress,youcanalsoclick

ontheIPCamerayouwishtochangeIPaddress,thenclick‘ChangeIP’
buttontochangeselectIPCamera’sIPaddresssetting.
Ifyounolongerneedtousethisutility,click‘Exit’buttontocloseit.
Pleasenote:
Ifyouhaveseveralnetworkconnections,suchas“Wireless
Function”,pleasedisablethe“WirelessFunctions”or/andother
networkconnectionsthatisnotconnectedtoIPcamera,orIPfinder
mayfailtosearchIPcamera!

2.2ConnecttoIPCamera’sWebUserInterfaceandInstall
ActiveXPlugin
WhenyouknowtheIPaddressofIPCamera,youcanconnecttoitby
InternetExplorerwebbrowserbyenteringitsIPaddressinaddressbar.
Theuseloginscreenwillappearwhenyougetconnected:
IPCamera’sadministratorusernameandpasswordareboth‘admin’
(lowercase)bydefault.Click‘OK’buttonorpress‘ENTER’keyonyour
keyboardwhenyoufinishenteringusernameandpassword.
WhenyouconnecttoIPCameraforthefirsttime,you’llseethe
followingmessage:

youcanseethevideofromIPCamera.
ForIE8andearlierversion:
Rightclicktheindicationbarandclick:
‘‘InstallThisAdd‐onforAllUsersonThisComputer…’

Click‘Install’buttonlocatedatthebottomofIEtoinstallActiveXplugin.

Click‘Allowaccess’,orIPCamerawillnotbeabletofunctionproperly.
Whenyou’reinstallingInternetExplorerplugin,youmayalsobe
promptedthatifyouwanttoallowchangestobemadetoyour
computer:
Click‘Yes’toallowchanges.
