WI-FI SIGNAL
Use your smartphone to check the signal strength for the
desired router connection at the controller location. If the
strength is too low, the connection will not work. In this case,
move the controller or router to improve the signal.
INSTALLING THE WI-FI MODULE
1. Insert the WAND module into the
right-side accessory port of the
X2™ controller.
When installed, WAND disables the
X2 controller’s dial and button functions as well as the
existing schedule and settings. All programming is then
managed via Hydrawise™ cloud-based soware from a
smartphone or desktop browser. Manual Station,
Manual Program, and Test All Stations can be activated
at the controller.
NOTE: The controller does not work with Hydrawise when the
dial is in the OFF or Manual positions. Return the dial to the
RUN position. Hidden controller features are still available.

WI-FI SETUP
Once installed, a solid amber ●LED will appear on the
module near the right of the dial positions and a ashing
icon will appear on the controller LCD. WAND is now
ready for Wi-Fi setup.

NOTE: Leave the module installed during setup to remain
connected to Hydrawise soware. If removed, the controller
will revert to dial-based programming.
Choose one of three methods to connect to Hydrawise:
1. Bluetooth®setup (recommended)
2. Wi-Fi direct setup
3. WPS setup
Download the Hydrawise App from the Apple®App
Store or Google Play™ Store.

BLUETOOTH SETUP
1. Enable the Bluetooth setting on your smartphone.
2. Connect your smartphone to the desired network.
3. Press the WAND button once:
• The solid amber ●LED on the
module will blink once per second.
• A 4-digit code will appear with a
Bluetooth icon on the controller LCD.
4. Open the Hydrawise App on your
smartphone, navigate to Setup Wizard,
and select your X2 model. Select Bluetooth
Programming and continue setup steps.
5. Once connected, the module LED will turn solid green ●.
The word “DONE” and a solid icon will appear on the
controller LCD.
6. Continue following the instructions on the app
programming screen.
NOTE: Pairing will stop aer 2 minutes if no action is taken.
Press the WAND button once to restart Bluetooth setup.

WI-FI DIRECT SETUP
1. Enable the Wi-Fi setting on your smartphone.
2. Press the WAND button twice:
• The solid amber ● LED on module will blink twice
per second.
3. Launch a web browser on either your smartphone,
tablet, or computer:
• Enter hunterx2wi.com in the search bar.
• This will launch a provisioning webpage where you
will enter the network name (SSID) and password
of your router.
• Click Done to connect to your network.
4. Once connected, the module LED will turn solid green ●.
The word “DONE” and a solid icon will appear on the
controller LCD.
5. Open the Hydrawise App on your smartphone,
navigate to Setup Wizard, and select your X2 model.
Continue following the instructions on the app
programming screen.
NOTE: Pairing will stop aer 2 minutes if no action is taken.
Press the WAND button twice to restart Wi-Fi direct setup.

WPS SETUP
1. Press the WAND button three times:
• The solid amber ●LED on the module will
blink three times per second.
2. Press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router.
3. Once connected, the module
LED will turn solid green ●. The word “DONE”
and a solid icon will appear on the controller LCD.
4. Open the Hydrawise smartphone app,
navigate to Setup Wizard, select your X2 model.
Continue following the instructions on the app
programming screen.
NOTE: Pairing will stop aer 2 minutes if no action is taken.
Press the WAND button three times to restart WPS setup.

FACTORY RESET
1. Press and hold the WAND button for 5 seconds.
2. The module LED will turn o.
3. Release the button when the solid amber ● LED appears.
The word “DONE” will appear on the controller LCD.
4. Return to the setup process to reconnect WAND to Wi-Fi.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Display
• The display shows “FAIL” and a solid red ●LED.
Possible Cause
• WAND failed to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
Possible Solutions
• Be in range of the router signal.
• Verify the correct network name (SSID) and password.
• Verify the connection is 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz.

SEÑAL WI-FI
Use su teléfono inteligente para comprobar en el sitio del
programador la fuerza de la señal del router deseado. Si la
señal es demasiado débil, la conexión no funcionará. En este
caso, mueva el programador o router para mejorar la señal.
INSTALACIÓN DEL MÓDULO WI-FI
1. Inserte el módulo WAND en el
puerto de accesorios del lado
derecho del programador
X2™.
Cuando está instalado, el WAND deshabilita las funciones
de dial y de botón del programador X2, así como el
programa y los ajustes actuales. Toda la programación
se maneja a través del soware Hydrawise™ basado en
la nube desde un navegador de teléfono inteligente o
computadora. Estación manual, Programa manual y Probar
todas las estaciones se pueden activar en el programador.
NOTA: El programador no funciona con Hydrawise cuando el
dial está en la posición OFF o Manual. Vuelva a colocar el dial
a la posición RUN. Las funciones ocultas del programador aún
están disponibles.

CONFIGURACIÓN WI-FI
Una vez instalado, un LED de color ámbar sólido ●aparecerá
en el módulo a la derecha de las posiciones del dial, y
un ícono parpadeante aparecerá en la pantalla LCD del
programador. El WAND ahora está listo para la conguración
Wi-Fi.

NOTA: Deje el módulo instalado durante la conguración para
permanecer conectado al soware Hydrawise. Si se retira, el
programador regresará a la programación basada en el dial.

CONFIGURACIÓN POR BLUETOOTH
1. Habilite la función de Bluetooth en su teléfono inteligente.
2. Conecte su teléfono inteligente a la red deseada.
3. Presione el botón WAND una vez:
• La LED ámbar sólida ●en el módulo
parpadeará una vez por segundo.
• Un código de cuatro dígitos aparecerá con
un ícono de Bluetooth en la pantalla LCD
del programador.
4. Abra la aplicación Hydrawise en su teléfono inteligente,
vaya al asistente de conguración y seleccione el modelo
de su X2. Seleccione “Programación por Bluetooth” y
continúe con los pasos de la conguración.
5. Una vez conectado, el LED del módulo cambiará a color
verde sólido ●. La palabra “DONE” y un ícono sólido
aparecerá en la pantalla LCD del programador.
6. Continúe siguiendo las instrucciones en la pantalla de
programación de la aplicación.
NOTA: El emparejamiento se detendrá después de dos
minutos si no realiza ninguna acción. Presione el botón WAND
una vez para reiniciar la conguración por Bluetooth.

CONFIGURACIÓN DIRECTA POR WI-FI
1. Habilite la función Wi-Fi en su teléfono inteligente.
2. Presione el botón WAND dos veces:
• La LED ámbar sólida ●en el módulo parpadeará dos
veces por segundo.
3. Inicie un navegador web ya sea en su teléfono inteligente,
tablet o ordenador:
• Introduzca hydrawise.com/x2 en la barra de dirección/
búsqueda.
• Esto abrirá una página web donde introducirá el nombre
de la red (SSID) y la contraseña de su router.
• Haga clic en “Done” para conectarse a la red.
4. Una vez conectado, el LED del módulo cambiará a color
verde sólido ●. La palabra “DONE” y un ícono sólido
aparecerá en la pantalla LCD del programador.
5. Abra la aplicación Hydrawise en su teléfono inteligente,
vaya al asistente de conguración y seleccione el modelo
de su X2. Continúe siguiendo las instrucciones en la
pantalla de programación de la aplicación.

RESTABLECIMIENTO DE FÁBRICA
1. Mantenga presionado el botón WAND durante 5 segundos.
2. El LED del módulo se apagará.
3. Suelte el botón cuando vea el LED ámbar sólido ●.
La palabra “DONE” aparecerá en la pantalla LCD del
programador.
4. Regrese al proceso de conguración para reconectar el
WAND a la red Wi-Fi.
RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Pantalla
• La pantalla muestra “FAIL” y una LED roja sólida ●.
Posible causa
• El WAND no se conectó a la red Wi-Fi.
Posibles soluciones
• Colóquese dentro del rango de la señal del router.
• Verique que el nombre de la red (SSID) y la contraseña
sean los correctos.
• Verique que la conexión esté en 2,4 GHz, no en 5 GHz.

SIGNAL WI-FI
À l'aide de votre smartphone, vériez l'intensité du signal
au niveau du programmateur pour la connexion au routeur
voulu. Si l'intensité est trop faible, la connexion ne s'établira
pas. Dans ce cas, déplacez le programmateur ou le routeur
pour améliorer le signal.
INSTALLER LE MODULE WI-FI
1. Insérez le module WAND dans
le port accessoire droit du
programmateur X2™.
Une fois le WAND installé, il
désactive les fonctions du sélecteur et des boutons du
programmateur X2, ainsi que les paramètres de calendrier
actuels. Toute la programmation est alors gérée par le
biais du logiciel de type cloud Hydrawise™, à partir d'un
navigateur sur smartphone ou ordinateur. Le contrôle
manuel des stations, la programmation manuelle et le
test de toutes les stations peuvent être activés à partir
du programmateur.

REMARQUE: le programmateur ne fonctionne pas avec
Hydrawise quand le sélecteur est positionné sur Arrêt
ou Manuel. Repositionnez le sélecteur sur Marche. Les
fonctionnalités masquées du programmateur sont toujours
disponibles.
