INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to Installation:
Make sure that you have all necessary parts by checking the parts list. If any
part is missing or damaged, please contact Hykolity Customer Service at
[phone] for a replacement.
Inspect the sink prior to installation to make sure that it has not been damaged
or during shipping.
Use the cut-out template provided by Hykolity.
Not recommended to be installed with laminate countertop.
The step-by-step guidelines in the installation instructions are a general
reference for installing a Hykolity Sink. It is recommended to install all Kraus
products by hiring a licensed professional.
Tools you will need:
Safety Goggles Drill Silicone Adhesive Jig Saw
Scissors
Phillips Screwdriver Putty Knife Tape Measure Pencil Screwdriver
NOTE:
Specialized tools may be necessary to install Hykolity Stainless Steel
Undermount sinks with countertop materials other than wood, marble, or
granite.
Installation Guide:
Step 1. Position the Template
 Check the cut-out template against the actual sink to ensure a proper sized
cut-out.

 Place the cut-out template in the desired location on the countertop.
 Trace template on countertop with a pencil.
NOTE: Make sure clearance is suitable for backsplash, faucet, and plumbing
for the sink
Step 2. Cut the Countertop
 Remove template and drill hole at the inside corner of the cutout line.
 Use a jigsaw to cut from the drilled hole along the cutout line.Support
cutout until the cut is completed.
Step 3. Set up Mounting Brackets
 Turn countertop over and align sink with countertop. Decide location for
mounting brackets
 Mounting holes should be 1/2” from edge of sink

 Drill 3/8” diameter x 1/2” deep hole in the countertop
 Insert anchors into drilled holes and lightly tap with a hammer until flush
Step 4. Secure Sink to Countertop
 Use a bead of silicone (or preferred adhesive) around the rim of the sink.
Check the alignment of the sink to the cutout in the countertop. Place sink
over cutout hole and press firmly.
 Attach mounting hardware to secure bowl. Remove excess sealant from
inside lip.
 Allow sealant to set for 30 – 60 minutes.
NOTE: Use acetone or rubbing alcohol to remove any excess sealant
Step 5. Install Plumbing Fixtures
 Connect drain to sink. Connect trap to drain. Connect water supply
connections to faucet according to manufacturer’s instructions
 Run water into sink and check for leaks
Care and Cleaning
Care
To prevent staining, regular daily cleaning is better than a heavy duty
cleaning once in a while.
Keeping the sink dry after each use helps prevent staining.
Scratches are inevitable during your usage over time.Use a nylon pad with an

iron free abrasive polishing compound.Follow the original polish lines to blend
out the scratch in a small area. Be cautious not overdo the progress, as
cleaning too aggressively could result in a bright spot.
Cleaning
DO NOT use strong abrasive cleaners, metal scrub pads, or steel wool on you
sink.If aggressive cleaning is needed,use a Scotch-Brite pad and rub in the
direction of the satin finish lines.
DO NOT leave rubber mats or sponges inside the sink overnight. Water
trappedbelowcouldleadtostains.
DO NOT let food with high salt content sit inside the sink for prolonged
periods of time.
DO NOT allow chlorine bleach to sit inside a stainless steel sink for more than
1hour.
DO NOT allow drain cleaners to come into contact with the sink surface.
DO NOT pour paint in your sink. The chemicals in acrylic paint will react with
sinks if allowed to sit over 24 hours and will produce permanent marks. For
latex based paints remove any residue immediately using a paint remover
manufactured by the same brand. Consult the paint remover recommendations
before using on the sink. For all sinks, we also recommend nail polish remover,
rubbing alcohol or an acetone based paint remover to eliminate paint residue.
Rust spots - Stainless steel does not rust . Rust stains are the results of iron
particles introduced by water, cookware, and steel wool pads that react with
water to create rust.
Metal cleaners will remove rust spots.
Food stains - Depending on the severity of the stain, use a bleach and water
solution or pour the bleach onto a cloth and cover the stain.Allow the bleach to sit
for at least 1/2 hour and then clean with dish detergent and water. For tougher
stains use a mild abrasive cleaner like Ajax or Comet. Follow the direction of the
grain when cleaning or scrubbing away stains.Scrubbing against the grain will
show as a scratch.
Mineral build ups - Standing water can lead to mineral deposit build up.Use a
mixture of vinegar and hot water to remove it.
