Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power
tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug
in any way. Do not use any adapted plugs with earthed(grounded)
power tools. Modified plugs and un-matching outlets will increase
the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as
pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water
entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or
unplugging the power tool. Keep it away from heat, oil, sharp edges
or moving parts.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.

RESIDUAL RISKS

6
Do not force the tool to do other jobs, other than its intended
one. Operations for which the tool is not designed, including
modification of the machine, may cause machine damage, personal
injuries, and invalidate the warranty.
Use of personal protective equipment is recommended to
reduce the risk of personal injuries. Use Safety goggles with side
shields, Ear protection such as plugs or muffs, Face mask or dust
mask to fight the debris produced by operation, Heavy-duty work
gloves to protect your hands and Safety non-slip work boots.
Keep bystanders and all other living creatures, away from the
work area. Do not operate the tool in the presence of flammable
liquids or gases. Do not operate the tool in wet or damp conditions.
Always hold your tool firmly with both hands to maintain
control and to avoid kickback. Never place your hand near the
rotating accessory. The operator can control torque reactions or
kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken. Do not position
your body in the area where power tool moves.
In an event of danger, immediately remove the power plug from
the socket and inspect it only by a qualified technician.
The rated speed of the accessory (rotating) must be at least equal
to the maximum speed of the tool.Do not use pads that have a
working speed less than 12,000 rpm no-load. Accessories
running faster than their rated speed can break and fly apart.
The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must
be within the capacity rating of your power tool. Incorrectly
sized accessories cannot be adequately guarded or controlled.
Keep the work area well ventilated. Ensure that the workplace

this operator’s manual may cause serious personal injury.
IBL OS23-46

7
Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and
recommended by the tool manufacturer. Just because the
accessory can be attached to your power tool, it does not assure
safe operation.
Use special precautions when sanding chemically pressurized
timber, paint that may be lead based, or any other materials that
are highly dangerous to human. Work should be sealed by plastic
sheeting and persons not protected should be kept out until work
area is thoroughly cleaned.
Position the power supply cord out of rotating accessory. Do
not abuse the cord, never use the cord to carry the tools or pull
the plug from the outlet. Always make sure that any extension
cord you use is in good condition, and if used outdoors is of a
suitable type, and so labelled.
Use the vacuum dust extraction accessory in conjunction with
this sander. The workplace should be kept as clean and dust free
as possible. Do not connect a domestic vacuum cleaner to this
machine.
Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to
a complete stop. The rotating accessory may grab the surface
and pull the power tool out of your control.
Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use inspect the
accessory such as abrasive discs for chips and cracks, backing
pad for cracks, tear or excess wear. If power tool or accessory is
damaged, inspect for damage or install with a replaced accessory.
Threaded mounting of accessories must match the spindle
thread. Accessories that do not match the mounting hardware of
the power tool will run out of balance, vibrate excessively and
may cause loss of control.
Be extremely careful of dust disposal, materials in fine particle
form may be explosive. Do not throw sanding dust on an open
fire. Spontaneous combustion, may in time, result from a mixture
of oil or water with dust particles.
Always check the tool for damaged parts. Regularly clean the
power tool’s air vents. The motor’s fan will draw the dust inside
the housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may
cause electrical hazards.

Orbital sander is a hand-held power tool for sanding, in which
the sanding pad/disc delivers a random-orbital action. This
sander is a vibrating tool composed of a ball bearing mechanism
where we come to fix a sanding pad.
The random turning ellipses creates a uniform surface with
minimum visible scratches possible. It gives a finer finish with a
uniform material removal.
With the vibrations in tiny circles, the orbital sander is used for
ultra-smooth sanding. These can be used for preparing a surface
before and after painting.
A random orbital sander can be used on wood (majorly), plastic or
for metal working, various other applications as well, from wood
shops, painting jobs to removing rust from steel surfaces.
Despite being very simple to use, you still need to know how an
orbital sander works in order to use it correctly. Read the
operators manual very carefully.

SANDING DISC
Place the new abrasive disc accurately onto the backing pad on the
guard (7). Press it firmly by hand into place, the ‘hook and loop’
attachment system on the pad does rest of the job.
Be careful to ensure that the eight holes in the abrasive sanding
disc line up perfectly with the eight holes in the backing pad.
One P150 sanding disc would be available with the product*.
Your tool can be used with other suitable grit sanding discs of
125 mm diameter for different sanding requirements.

12
The Orbital Sander should always be held with both hands, one
on the trigger switch handle, and other on the side handle.
Always clamp and sec
ure the work piece to prevent it from moving under the sander.
Place sander on the work so that all of sanding disc surface is in
contact with work piece. Let the sanding disc come to full speed
before applying it onto the work.
Start the sander and move it slowly over, making successive
passes in parallel lines, circles, or crosswise movements. Apply
just enough pressure to align the base with the work surface.
Move the sander across the work surface in long overlapping
sweeps. Apply only enough pressure to keep the abrasive disc flat
against the work surface. Excessive pressure should be avoided as
it can cause swirl marks and unevenness in the work surface.
Keep the sander in constant motion while the abrasive disc is in
contact with the work surface. Use a steady, sweeping motion,
allowing the rotating abrasive disc to float over the work surface.
Once the sanding task has been completed, turn OFF the sander
by releasing the trigger. If the sander has been locked ON, press
down the lock button and trigger to release them, and your tool
will turn OFF.
GENERAL OPERATION
IBL OS23-46
WARNING! Do not force the tool or apply excessive pressure,
this may cause damage to the motor. Let the tool do the work.
Always use the side/auxiliary handle.
Inspect sanding disc frequently and change the disc when grit is
worn and not able to perform properly.
Refer page no. 6 and 7 for the specific instructions before
operating the tool.
NOTE: Empty dust bag frequently so that the collection system works
properly. Also to help prevent possible hazards.
Do not use the sander without sanding disc.
Always continue sanding with each grit until the surface is uniform.

13
Tool should be kept clean, especially its air vents. Keep the
tool and ventilation slots (air vents) clean and free from
obstructions. Accumulation of dust in the motor or on the base
may cause a malfunction of the tool.
Do not use chemical cleaners to clean your tool. Wipe it clean
with a dry cloth.
Cleaning the guard; When accumulation of dust or chips on the
guard looks excessive, loosen the screw and remove the cover.
Wash off accumulation of dust inside and reinstall it.
For storage, we recommend using the original package for
covering the product or a suitable means to protect it.
Before and after each use, check the product and accessories (or
attachments) for wear and damage.
Inspecting the rotating accessory; Check the sanding pad and
disc carefully for cracks or damage before and after each use.
Continuing to use a dull disc may cause a dangerous kickback
and/or motor overload. Dressing could be suitable or replace with
a new disc as soon as it no longer works effectively.
Inspecting the supply cord; Do not pull or carry the tool by the
electric cord or allow its contact with edges, sharp elements,
rough surfaces, oil or chemicals that may damage its flexible and
insulating properties.
Inspecting carbon brushes; Keep the brushes clean so that they
move freely on the support. Remove and inspect the carbon
brushes once in a while (by a qualified person or make yourself
qualified for that). If replaced, both carbon brushes should be
replaced at the same time.
