De lichtflash met pijlpuntsymbool in een driehoek is
bedoeld om de aandacht van de gebruikers te trekken op
de aanwezigheid van een « gevaarlijke elektrische
spanning » in het toestel met een voldoende sterkte om
elektrocutie te veroorzaken.
Het uitroepteken in een driehoek is bedoeld om de
aandacht van de gebruiker te trekken op de
aanwezigheid van belangrijke bedieningsinstructies bij
dit toestel.
De volgende label werd op het toestel aangebracht om de aandacht te trekken op de te volgen procedures bij het
behandelen van een product met laserstraal.

Deze label werd aangebracht op de plaats zoals afgebeeld
om u ervan te waarschuwen dat dit toestel een lasercomponent bevat.
WAARSCHUWINGSLABEL m.b.t. DE STRALING
Deze label werd binnenin het toestel aangebracht. Zie afbeelding.
Waarschuwing met betrekking tot het ontmantelen van het toestel.
Dit toestel zendt een laserstraal binnen de grenzen toegelaten voor
de laserproducten van klasse 1.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES
1. DE INSTRUCTIES LEZEN – Alle veiligheids- en gebruiksinstructies lezen vooraleer het toestel in gebruik
te stellen.
2. DE INSTRUCTIES BEWAREN – De veiligheids- en gebruiksinstructies bewaren voor latere raadpleging.
3. DE WAARSCHUWINGEN NALEVEN– Alle waarschuwingen aanwezig op het toestel en in de gebruiker
shandleiding naleven.
4. DE INSTRUCTIES VOLGEN – Alle gebruiksinstructies volgen.
5. WATER EN VOCHT – Dit toestel niet gebruiken in de nabijheid van water, bijvoorbeeld bij een stortbad,
een lavabo, een gootsteen, een zwembad, in een washok of vochtige kelder.
6. VENTILATIE – Het toestel moet zodanig worden opgesteld dat door zijn opstelling of positie de
ventilatie niet belemmerd wordt. Plaats het toestel niet op een bed, een sofa, een tapijt of gelijkaardige
oppervlakte die van die aard is dat de ventilatieopeningen belemmerd zouden kunnen raken, in een
ingebouwde installatie, zoals een rek of kast waardoor de luchtstroom die door de ventilatieopeningen
loopt verhinderd zou worden.
7. WARMTE – Het toestel verwijderd houden van warmtebronnen zoals radiatoren, warmteketels en andere
warmte producerende toestellen (met inbegrip van versterkers).
8. VOEDINGSBRON – Dit toestel mag enkel worden gebruikt op een elektrische installatie van het type
beschreven in deze handleiding of aangegeven op het toestel.
9. AARDING – Zorg ervoor dat de aarding van de stekker niet beschadigd is.
10. BESCHERMING VAN HET VOEDINGSSNOER – Het voedingssnoer moet zodanig worden opgesteld
dat niemand erop kan lopen en dat hij niet geklemd kan raken door nabije voorwerpen.
11. BOVENGRONDSE ELEKTRICITEITSLEIDINGEN – In het geval van het gebruik van een buitenantenne
moet deze verwijderd worden van de bovengrondse elektriciteitsleidingen.
12. LATEN VALLEN VAN VOORWERPEN EN VLOEISTOFFEN IN HET TOESTEL – Erop letten dat geen
voorwerpen door de openingen in het toestel kunnen vallen of dat vloeistoffen erin zouden kunnen
sijpelen.
13. ESD WAARSCHUWING – Ten gevolge van een elektrische ontlading kan het toestel storingen vertonen
of kunnen de bedieningsknopen niet meer reageren. Schakel het toestel uit en haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact. Na enkele seconden opnieuw aansluiten en inschakelen.
14. STORINGEN DIE EEN REPARATIE VEREISEN – Het toestel moet aan een geschoolde technicus worden
toevertrouwd wanneer:
a. Het voedingssnoer of de stekker beschadigd zijn.
b. Voorwerpen door de openingen in het toestel zijn gevallen of als er water in gesijpeld is.
c. Het toestel blootgesteld werd aan regen.
d. Het toestel gevallen is of de behuizing beschadigd is.
e. Het toestel niet correct lijkt te werken.
15. REPARATIES – De gebruiker mag geen onderhoudsingrepen uitvoeren die niet beschreven staan in
onderhavige gebruikshandleiding. Alle andere onderhoudsingrepen moeten worden uitgevoerd door
een geschoolde technicus.
Notaʼs:
a. Een gekraste of bevuilde CD kan mogelijk niet correct werken. Reinig of vervang de CD.
b. Als een foutmelding wordt aangegeven of als een storing zich voordoet, haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact en verwijder de batterijen. Schakel daarna het toestel opnieuw in.
VOORALEER HET TOESTEL TE GEBRUIKEN
Noteʼs m.b.t. de CDʼs.
Daar bevuilde, beschadigde of gekraste CDʼs het toestel kunnen beschadigen zorg ervoor enkel:
a. ondersteunde CD-formaten te gebruiken. Gebruik enkel CDʼs waarop onderstaande logo aange
bracht is.
b.CDʼs te gebruiken die enkel digitale audiosignalen bevatten.
16. Geen recht op garantie bestaat voor schade die gevolg is van corrosie, oxidatie, batterijlekkage en enig
ander geleidelijk inwerkend defect.

WERKING OP HET NET
Dit draagbare toestel kan worden aangesloten door het wegneembare voedingssnoer te verbinden met de AC ingang
achteraan het toestel en de stekker in een stopcontact te steken. Kijk na of de spanning van uw toestel overeenstemt
met de netspanning. Zorg ervoor dat het voedingssnoer volledig in het toestel is ingestoken.
WERKING OP BATTERIJEN
Voer 6 batterijen van maat “C” in het batterijencompartiment. Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen correct zijn ingevoerd
om het toestel niet te beschadigen. De batterijen uit het toestel nemen telkens als u het toestel van plan bent lange tijd
niet te gebruiken, en dit om te vermijden dat de batterijen zouden gaan lekken, wat het toestel zou beschadigen.
Notaʼs:
- Gebruik batterijen van hetzelfde type. Meng nooit batterijen van verschillende types.
- Om het toestel op de batterijen te laten spelen, haal de stekker van het voedingssnoer uit het stopcontact.

WERKING VAN DE RADIO
ALGEMENE WERKING
1. Zet de “FUNCTIESCHAKELAAR” in “RADIO” mode.
2. Selecteer de gewenste bandbreedte met behulp van de “BANDSCHAKELAAR”.
3. Selecteer de frequentie van de gewenste radiozender door gebruik te maken van
de “TUNER” knop.
4. Stel het “VOLUME” op het gewenste niveau in.
FM / FM-STEREO ONTVANGST
- Zet de “BANDSCHAKELAAR” in FM mode om de programma’s in MONO te ontvangen.
- Zet de “BANDSCHAKELAAR” in FM ST. mode om de programma’s in FM STEREO te beluisteren.
De Stereo LED gaat branden wanneer het toestel in FM ST. mode is.
VOOR EEN BETERE ONTVANGST
- De richting van de antenne aanpassen voor een
betere ontvangst.
- Het toestel opzij schuiven voor een betere AM ontvangst.

PAUSE Druk op deze knop om de werking van de cassettespeler tijdelijk te onderbreken.
Druk opnieuw op de werking te hervatten.
STOP / EJECT Druk op deze knop om de werking van de cassettespeler stop te zetten.
Druk opnieuw om de deur van het cassettecompartiment te openen nadat de
cassette gestopt is met draaien.
VOORUITSPOELEN & Druk op deze toets om vooruit- of achteruit te spoelen
ACHTERUITSPOELEN
PLAY Druk op deze toets om het afspelen van de cassette te starten.

AFSPELEN
1. Zet de “FUNCTIESCHAKELAAR” in “TAPE” mode (cassette).
2. Druk op de “STOP / EJECT” toets om de deur van het cassettecompartiment te openen en laad een cassette.
3. Sluit de deur van het cassettecompartiment.
4. Druk op de “PLAY” toets om het af spelen te starten.
5. Stel het “VOLUME” op het gewenste niveau in.
6. Druk de “PAUSE” toets in om het afspelen van de cassette tijdelijk te onderbreken.
7. Druk op de “STOP / EJECT” toets om het afspelen te stoppen.
OPNEMEN
1. Druk op de “STOP / EJECT” om de deur van het cassettecompartiment te openen en laad een blanco cassette.
2. Selecteer de bron van waaruit u wenst op te nemen.
Om op te nemen vanuit de radio, zet de “FUNCTIESCHAKELAAR” in “RADIO” mode en stel de gewenste
radiozender in.
Om op te nemen vanuit een CD / MP3, zet een CD in het CD-compartiment. Zet de “FUNCTIESCHAKELAAR” in
“CD / MP3” mode en selecteer de gewenste track.
3. Druk tegelijkertijd op de “RECORD” toets en de “PLAY” toets om het opnemen te starten.
4. Druk op de “STOP / EJECT” toets wanneer het opnemen af is.

Druk op deze toets om het afspelen van de CD/MP3
te starten.
Druk opnieuw op deze toets om het afspelen van de CD/MP3

Druk opnieuw om het afspelen te hervatten.
Druk op deze toetsen om naar de vorige of volgende track te gaan.
Druk op deze toets om de werking van de CD-speler uit te schakelen.
AFSPELEN
1. Zet de “FUNCTIESCHAKELAAR” in “CD/MP3” mode.
2. Open de deur van het CD-compartiment en laad een CD/MP3 in het CD-compartiment,
met de\label van de CD naar boven gericht.
3. Sluit de deur van het CD-compartiment.
4. Wanneer de CD geladen wordt, wordt deze eerst gescand. Het totale aantal tracks
verschijnt dan op het scherm.
5. Druk op de “PLAY / PAUSE” toets om het afspelen van de CD/MP3
te starten.
6. Stel het “VOLUME” op het gewenste niveau in.
7. Druk de “PLAY / PAUSE” toets in om het afspelen tijdelijk te onderbreken.
8. Druk op de “STOP” toets om het afspelen te stoppen.

Druk op de “MODE” toets voor of tijdens het afspelen van een CD om één enkele track of
alle tracks te herhalen.
Telkens al u deze toets indrukt gaat u over tot één van de volgende modes:

Tot 20 tracks kunnen worden geprogrammeerd om in de gewenste volgorde te worden
afgespeeld.
Op de “STOP” toets drukken vooraleer het programmeren te starten.
1. Druk op de “MODE” toets, het nummer “01” knippert op het scherm.
2. Selecteer een track met behulp van de “SKIP +” en “SKIP -” toetsen.
(Je kan het gewenste album selecteren via de ʻʼALBUMʼʼ toets).
3. Druk opnieuw op de “MODE” toets om de geselecteerde track in het geheugen op te
slaan.
4. Herhaal de stappen 2 en 3 om bijkomende tracks in het geheugen op te slaan.
5. Wanneer alle tracks geprogrammeerd zijn, druk op de “PLAY / PAUSE” toets om de CD in
de geprogrammeerde volgorde af te spelen. De « program » LED begint te knipperen.
6. Druk twee maal op de “STOP” toets om het geprogrammeerd afspelen te beëindigen. De
« program » LED stopt dan met branden.
WERKING VAN DE CD/MP3
Het verpakkingsmateriaal van dit toestel is recycleerbaar en kan meermaals
herbruikt worden. Gelieve rekening te houden met de lokale richtlijnen rond
recycleren indien u de verpakking toch wenst weg te gooien.Dit product is vervaar-
digd uit materialen die gerecycleerd en herbruikt kunnen worden omdat ze
ontwikkeld zijn door een gespecialiseerd bedrijf. Gooi de gebruikte batterijen niet
zomaar weg, maar deponeer ze in de daarvoor bestemde containers, rekening
houdend met de lokale wetgeving inzake milieu en chemische stoffen.

1. READ INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.

Notes:
a. Dirty or scratched CD may cause a skipping problem. Clean or replace the CD.
b. If an error display or malfunction occurs, disconncet the AC cord and remove all the batteries. Then turn the power
back on.
BEFORE OPERATION
Notes: CONCERNING COMPACT DISCS.
Since dirty, damaged or warped discs may damage the appliance, care should be taken of the followings items:
a. Usable compact discs. Use only compact disc with the mark shown below.
b. CD compact disc only with digital audio signals.

BATTERY POWER
Insert 6x “C” size batteries into the battery compartment. Besure that the batteries are inserted
correctly to avoid damage tothe appliance. Always remove the batteries when appliance will not be
used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage tothe batteries and subsequently damage
to your set.
Notes:
- Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
-To use the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord from it.

AC POWER
You can power your portable system by plugging the detachable AC power cord into the AC inlet at
the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance
matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.

GENERAL OPERATION
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “RADIO” mode.
2. Select desired band by using the “BAND” selector.
3. Adjust radio frequency to your desired station by using the “TUNING” control.
4. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
FM / FM-STEREO RECEPTION
- Set the “BAND” selector to FM mode for MONO reception.
- Set the “BAND” selector to FM ST. mode for FM STEREO reception. The Stereo indicator light up
to show FM ST. mode.

- Reorient the antenna for better reception.
- Reorient the appliance to get better AM reception.

PAUSE Press to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
Press again to resume tape operation.
STOP / EJECT Press to stop tape operations.
Press again to open the cassette door after the tape spools stop turning.
FAST FORWARD & Press to start rapid tape winding either forward or reverse direction.
REWIND
PLAY Press to start playing tape.
RECORD Press it together with “PLAY” button to start recording.
PLAYBACK
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “TAPE” mode.
2. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open the cassette door and insert your tape.
3. Close the cassette door.
4. Press the “PLAY” button to start playing tape.
5. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
6. Press the “PAUSE” button when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
7. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button when finished.
RECORDING
1. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open the cassette door and insert a blank tape.
2. Select the source you want to record.
To record from radio - Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “RADIO” mode and adjust the desired station.
To record from CD / MP3 - Place a disc on the CD compartment. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to
“CD / MP3” mode and select the desired track.
3. Press the “RECORD” button together with the “PLAY” button to start recording.
4. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button when finished.

Press again to resume playback.

SKIP - Press and hold while playing until you find the point of the sound.
STOP Press to stop all CD / MP3 operation.
PLAYBACK
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “CD / MP3” mode.
2. Open the CD door and place a CD / MP3 disc with the label up on the CD compartment.
3. Close the CD door.
4. Focus search is performed if disc is inside. Total number of tracks is read and appears on the display.
5. Playback will start automatically from the first track.
6. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
7. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button again when you want to stop playback temporarily.
8. Press the “STOP” button when finished.

CD / MP3 OPERATION
PROGRAM
Up to 20 tracks can be programmed for disc play in any order.
Be sure to press the “STOP” button before use.
1. Press the “MODE” button, the display will show “P01” and flash.
2. Select desired track by using the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button. (You may select a desired album
by pressing the “ALBUM” button).
3. Press the “MODE” button again to confirm desired track into the program memory.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to enter additional tracks into the program memory.
5. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to play the
disc in the order you have programmed.
