FEATURES AND OPERATIONS
WELCOME
Congratulations on Purchasing the Ignited Remote Performance Starter, the only system designed and engineered for the
performance enthusiast.
The system is designed to be user-friendly, however we do suggest that you read the instructions before you use the
system to avoid any complications.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Never start the vehicle with the remote control if the vehicle is in a closed garage or any other enclosed area.
• Keep the remote control transmitter out of the reach of children.
• When parking in an enclosed area, make sure the remote starter disable switch is in the OFF position. Please
refer to the section below of this manual for more information.
• In very cold weather lower than 30º C it is best to start your vehicle manually so you can better listens to the
engine and make sure it starts properly.
• Please refer to your vehicle’s manual for more information on starting your vehicle in cold weather.
1. REMOTE PERFORMANCE STARTER WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The Ignited Remote Performance Starter will allow you to remotely start your vehicle from a distance. It will also allow you
to leave your car running for a short period of time after you leave the vehicle in order to protect the engine from
unnecessary ware (Delayed Ignition Kill
TM
).
The system will also give you control of other vehicle accessories from the outside of the car. Not only will you be able to
start and stop your vehicle, but you can now turn on/off your engine fan, fog lights, neon lights, purge our nitrous or regular
accessories such as Trunk Release.

Remark: The engine will not start by remote starter if the hood is open and the engine will stop if the hood is opened while
the engine is running in remote start mode.
TO START ENGINE REMOTELY
To start your vehicle from the outside using the remote, Push the AUX 2 button then hold the Engine Start button for 2
seconds. Parking lights will turn on for 2 seconds, engine will start after 6 seconds. While the engine is on, the lights will
turn on also. The default setting for engine running is set at 15 minutes. After 15 minutes the vehicle will turn off. If the
car does not start, the system will try second time. If after a second try the engine does not start, the system will cancel the
process. You may be experiencing mechanical problems with your car.
After vehicle started using the remote, unlock vehicle using AUX 1, enter the car and put the key into the ignition, then turn
the key to the On position. You are now ready to drive away.
DELAYED IGNITION KILL FEATURE
Delayed Ignition Kill allows you to let the vehicle to idle for a period of 45 seconds after the key has been removed. This
feature was designed to protect the engine and allow it to cool down before the engine is turned off after long drives or
after spirited driving.
TO TURN ON THE DELAYED IGNITION KILL FEATURE (TURBO TIMERS)
While car is running and key is in the ignition, push the AUX 2 button, then push and hold the Engine Start Button for 2
seconds (Make sure the car is in Park and do not touch the brake pedal while performing this step). The Parking lights will
flash, this informs you that the Delayed Ignition Kill Feature is engaged. You can now remove your key and leave the
vehicle. The vehicle will continue to run for a period of 45 seconds. Be sure to lock the doors using the AUX 1 button to
ensure the vehicle is safe. You can stop Remote Stop Engine by pressing Aux 2, then hold Engine Start Button.

2. REMOTE STARTER WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION
The Ignited Remote Performance Starter will allow you to remotely start your vehicle from a distance. For your safety Ignited
has added an“Exit Sequence” to ensure that the car is in neutral and the hand brake is on in order for you to be able to start
the vehicle by remote. It will also allow you to leave your car running for a short period of time after you leave the vehicle in
order to protect the engine from unnecessary ware (Delayed Ignition Kill TM).
PROGRAMMING “EXIT SEQUENCE” FOR REMOTE STARTING (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)
Follow the sequence outlined below when exiting your vehicle to enable the remote starter. The following MUST be
performed without touching the clutch pedal and with all doors closed. This is a safety feature designed to protect your
vehicle from launching forward during remote start.
While car is still running and the key is in the Ignition
1. Press and hold the Brake pedal
2. Set the Emergency brake (Hand Brake)
3. Put vehicle in Neutral
4. Release the brake pedal (Parking lights will flash informing the driver that the system is ready to be start by remote)
5. Remove the key from the ignition (The engine will continue to run)
6. Open the door(s) and exit the vehicle
7. Close the door (The engine will continue to run for a period of 3 seconds after the door is closed)
Remark: Opening the door after the engine has stopped running will cancel the remote engine starter. If you try to start the
vehicle by remote, the parking lights will flash and the engine will not start. To activate the remote start you must
perform steps 1-7 again.

TO START THE ENGINE BY REMOTE
Once the system has been set (Exit Sequence 1-7), you can now start your vehicle from outside using the remote. To start
your vehicle from the outside using the remote, Push the AUX 2 button then hold the Engine Start button for 2 seconds.
Parking lights will turn on for 2 seconds, engine will start after 6 seconds. While the engine is on, the lights will turn on also.
The default setting for engine running is set at 15 minutes. After 15 minutes the vehicle will turn off. If the car does not start,
the system will try second time. If after a second try the engine does not start, the system will cancel the process. You may
be experiencing mechanical problems with your car
DELAYED IGNITION KILL FEATURE (TURBO TIMERS)
Delayed Ignition Kill allows you to let the vehicle to idle for a period of 45 seconds after the key has been removed. This
feature was designed to protect the engine and allow it to cool down before the engine is turned off after long drives or after
spirited driving.
After you have completed the ``Èxit Sequence`, you can now remove your key and leave the vehicle. The vehicle will
continue to run for a period of 45 seconds. Be sure to lock the doors using the AUX 1 button to ensure the vehicle is safe.
***Press the brake before leaving the vehicle pedal at any time to cancel the feature***

3. TURBO TIMER FUNCTION FOR AUTOMATIC
While car is running with the key is in the ignition and after you have gone though the “Exit Sequence”, push the AUX 2
button, then push and hold the Engine Start Button for 2 seconds (Make sure the car is in neutral and do not touch the brake
pedal while performing this step). The Parking lights will flash, this informs you that the Turbo Timer Feature is engaged. You
can now remove your key and leave the vehicle. The vehicle will continue to run for a period of 3 or 5 minutes. Be sure to
lock the doors using the AUX 1 button to ensure the vehicle is safe.
***Press the brake pedal at any time to cancel the feature***
***When Turbo Timer is set, Delayed Ignition Kill Feature is disabled***
Our remote starter is delivered with factory default settings at 45 seconds (Delayed Ignition Kill). To change your turbo timer
settings from 45 seconds to 3 or 5 minutes, refer to option 17 on the programming chart.
You can remote stop the engine at anytime by pressing AUX 2 for two seconds, and pressing the Engine Start Button
4. TURBO TIMER FUNCTION FOR STANDARD
The Turbo Timer Feature is automatically engaged when you complete the ``Exit Sequence`. Our remote starter is delivered
with factory default settings at 45 seconds (Delayed Ignition Kill). To change your turbo timer settings from 45 seconds to 3 or
5 minutes, refer to option 17 on the programming chart.
You can remote stop the engine at anytime by pressing AUX 2 for two seconds, and pressing the Engine Start Button

A) NIGHT TIMER MODE
This feature when activated will start your vehicle every 2,3,or 4 hours (3 hours is default setting) for a period of 6 minutes (4
times maximum). The Night Timer Mode will cancel once that vehicle is started using the key or the remote. This feature is
designed to unsure that your vehicle does not freeze when parked over night in extreme cold nights.
TO ACTIVATE NIGHT TIMER MODE
Press Aux 2 and hold the Engine Start button for 4 seconds until the parking light flashes 4 times. This confirms that the Night
Timer Mode has been activated. Your vehicle will now start and run at the programmed interval.
***To cancel this mode, start your car with the remote or with the key***
B) REMOTE ENGINE STOP
The remote allows you to turn off your vehicle from outside the car (Will only work if the vehicle was started with the remote, if
the car is in Delayed Ignition Kill mode or if it is set on Turbo Timer mode). To do so push the AUX 2 button, then hold the
Engine Start button for 2 seconds. Your vehicle’s engine will turn off and the lights will turn off.
C) ANTI-START FUNCTION, LOCK, UNLOCK DOORS
(Optional, if equipped and connected)
The Anti-Start function will only allow the vehicle to start and be driven away if it has been unlocked with the remote AUX 1
button and the proper ignition key is used.

D) ARMING
To arm the system, push the AUX 1 button. This will lock the doors (if equipped and connected). For systems with upgraded
Alarm model, this will activate the sensors for the alarm also.
E) DISARMING
To disarm the system, push the AUX 1 button. This will unlock the doors (if equipped and connected). For systems with
upgraded Alarm model, this will deactivate the sensors for the alarm also.
F) PASSIVE ARMING
If the system has been programmed by your dealer, the Anti-Start function will automatically engage (arm itself) 30 seconds
after the engine has been stopped with the ignition key and if it has not been armed using the procedure outlined above
(Arming). This will occur whenever you leave the vehicle without arming the system. If equipped and connected the doors
will also lock.
G) TEMPORARY DISARM AND VALET MODE
Temporary Disarm and Valet Mode will allow the user to disable the Anti-Start function. This will make your vehicle function
like a vehicle without the Ignited Remote Performance Starter installed. This feature may be used if you have lost your
remote, if your remote is out of battery, if you are using Valet Parking service or if you are bringing your vehicle in for
servicing.
Remark: It is recommended that you practice using your Valet Mode before you actually need it. This way, you
will be aware of what to do if you were to lose a remote.

TEMPORARY DISARM
Temporary Disarm is very practical in the event where the remote transmitter is out of battery. Temporally disarm is the same
as unlocking you vehicle with the remote transmitter. The Anti-Start function will disable for a period of 30 seconds. The LED
light (located in the receiver) will flash slowly and the Anti-start function will re-engage if the vehicle is not started within 30
seconds.
ACTIVATING TEMPORARY DISARM MODE
The following sequence must be performed to bypass the Anti-Start system and to engage the Temporary Disarm Mode.
1. Ignition ON (Engine not running). You have 15 seconds to do step #2
2. Hold the brake pedal down and slowly press and release the Valet button 3 times
3. The audible beeps will confirm the system is in Temporary Disarm Mode
4. The Anti-Start system is temporary bypassed and the LED light will stop flashing
Important: If you are not aware of the location of the disarm Anti-Start button, please ask your installer to point it out for you.
VALET MODE
When Valet Mode is engaged, the LED light (located in the receiver) will remain lit and the Anti-Start function will permanently
be bypassed until the sequence to disarm the mode is performed (Steps 1-4 outlined below).
ACTIVATING VALET MODE
To activate Valet mode, perform steps (1-4) twice. The LED light will stay ON. This indicates that the system is in Valet
Mode.

RETURNING TO THE ANTI-START FUNCTION
When system is in Valet Mode, perform steps (1-4listed above). This will set the system back to normal operating mode.
H) PANIC FEATURE (IF CONNECTED)
The Panic feature allows you to remotely sound the horn for a period of time to scare away anyone lurking around your
vehicle. This feature can also be used to locate your vehicle.
TO ACTIVATE PANIC MODE
Press and hold the AUX 1 button for 5 seconds
TO DEACTIVATE PANIC MODE:
Press and hold the AUX 1 button for 5 seconds
I) REMOTE STARTER DISABLE SWITCH
The Ignited Remote Performance system is equipped with a remote starter disable switch(with protective cover). This switch
will disable the remote starter transmitter. This is useful when parking the vehicle in an enclosed garage where you do not
wish for the vehicle to start by remote. This switch will not affect the Lock and Unlock feature.
Remark: If you are not aware of the location of this Anti-Start switch, please ask your installer to point it out for you. AUX
Option A – AUX Option A can be used to control any accessories in your vehicle that needs a On/Off switch to
activate (Engine Fan, Neon Lights, Strobe Lights).

J) AUX OPTIONS
Ignited Remote Performance Starter has included 3 options that can be used to control three different accessories that you
may have added to your car. Two of the three options included are remote On/Off switches (Engine Fan, Neon Lights, Strobe
Lights, Trunk Release). Each Option can be programmed either momentary or maintained (refer to programming).
AUX 2
To Turn On - Press and hold AUX 2 for 4 seconds(When equipped and connected)
To Turn Off - Press and hold AUX 2 for 4 seconds (When equipped and connected)
AUX 3
AUX 3 has two outputs that can be used to control any accessories in your vehicle that needs a On/Off switch to activate
(Engine Fan, Neon Lights, Strobe Lights).
USING AUX 3
To Turn On - Press AUX 3 (When equipped and connected)
To Turn Off - Press AUX 3 (When equipped and connected)
USING AUX 3B
To Turn On - Press and hold AUX 3 for 4 seconds(When equipped and connected)
To Turn Off - Press and hold AUX 3 for 4 seconds (When equipped and connected)

OPTIONAL:
REMOTE STARTER WITH ALARM SYSTEM
The following only applies if your vehicle is equipped with the optional alarm system (IGN5002/IGN5003). If your system is
not equipped (IGN5000/IGN5001), the upgrade can be added to the basic unit at any time in the future.
The Alarm option is designed to function alongside the Remote Performance Starter. The system is equipped with three
(Door, Hood, Impact) sensors. When the Alarm is activated and when one or all of these sensors are disturbed, the horn will
sound for a period of 30 seconds (Default setting). This will draw attention to your vehicle which may cause the unwanted
intruder to leave your vehicle alone.
To activate the Alarm - Press the AUX 1 button (This will lock the doors if equipped and connected)
To Deactivate the Alarm - Press the AUX 1 button (This will unlock the doors if equipped and connected)
Remark: - If your transmitter is lost and alarm is activating, See “Activating Temporary
Disarm” to stop the alarm function.
THE ALARM FUNCTION IS CONNECTED TO THREE TRIGGER POINTS (SENSORS): DOOR
TRIGGER, HOOD TRIGGER, AND IMPACT DETECTOR
1. The Door trigger will detect the opening and closing of any doors
2. The Hood trigger will detect if the hood is opened or closed
3. The Impact detector will detect if the vehicle has been hit. To avoid false triggering, the senor is not affected by brisk
wind or rocking. The sensitivity of the sensor is adjustable.

THE ALARM FUNCTION WILL BE ENGAGED UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. When the vehicle is locked using the remote transmitter
Remark: When you arm the alarm system, if one or all the doors are left open or ajar, the horn will beep 5 times to inform
you of this condition, but the system will still arm the Alarm. It is a good idea to walk around your vehicle and
check all the doors. If all the doors are closed and the problem still persists, please check with your dealer/
installer.
2. In Passive arming mode, if programmed by the installer, the system will arm itself automatically 30 seconds after the
last door or rear gate are closed.
Remark: In Passive Arming Mode, the alarm will not set as long as the door or rear gate has been left open. You can
therefore pack and unpack your vehicle without the alarm arming itself as long as you keep the door or truck open.

WORKING RANGE OF REMOTE TRANSMITTER
The working range of the Ignited Remote transmitter is ¼ mile in open field. However, due to the interference of radio station,
cellular phone, and other interference the range may be dramatically reduced. To insure that your transmitter is always
working at maximum range, keep your transmitter in good shape; avoid dropping the transmitter and change the battery every
six months.

LIMITED WARRANTY
The manufacturer guarantees to the purchaser of origin the remote starter and alarm to be free of defect material and labour. However, if it is proven that the product is defective,
inside the two year period as from the original date of purchase, the manufacturer will repair or replace, without expenses towards the purchaser, any part (excluding any expenses
incurred to deliver the product to the manufacturer) remote starter or alarm which the manufacturer considers defective. After the initial warranty period of 2 years, the manufacturer
must repair or replace the defective products with a forwarding costs of 30.00$US. All the guarantees apply to the original purchaser and ONLY to the vehicle in which it is initially
installed. Repairs or replacement of the defective modules must remain at the discretion of the manufacturer. All the other parts, components, accessories or optional equipment
relating to the remote starter and alarm are not included in the guarantee of the manufacturer. This guarantee is nontransferable. The original receipt must accompany a request
for guarantee of service of any authorized retailer in factory. The fact of not conforming to these conditions can result in cancellation of the guarantee.
This guarantee does not cover the following elements: expenses for labour of removal or reinstallation, transport charges, abuse, misuse or accidental damage of the remote
starter and the alarm or parts of the latter. This guarantee is cancelled in the event of amendments, repairs or deteriorations of any part of the product. The manufacturer does not
guarantee or does not insure against the loss of the vehicle or its contents. The models of alarm are used only as dissuasion against any possible loss. This alarm can be
considered for a reduction of the insurances; premiums please contact your insurance agent for more details. The manufacturer should not be held responsible for any consequent
damage connected to a violation of this or any other guarantee express or implicit. This guarantee gives you specific statutory duties. These rights vary according to the area in
which you reside.
CERTAIN DAMAGE IS EXCLUDED. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for additional damage caused by the product, including a financial loss, loss of use of the
product, hiring of vehicle or all other expenses connected to the maintenance and the guard of the product. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for any additional damage
caused by the product or resulting from his use, including the expenses of repair or replacement of other goods damaged or caused by his use, even if the product functions
correctly. This product is designed to dissuade from an unauthorized use of the vehicles in which it is installed. The manufacturer does not guarantee that the product is proof
against loss and vandalism and the human error or an inadequate use. The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for any damage occurring any kind that it is caused by
a vehicle in which the product is installed or resulting from damage from its use. The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for any damage resulting from the loss of the
vehicle or its contents, caused or claimed caused, directly or indirectly, by a failure of the product.
STARTER WITH MANUAL SHIFT – the installation of a remote starter MUST be carried out with an indicated manual transmission remote starter. It is the sole
responsibility of the operator of the vehicle to make sure that the vehicle is left with the transmission in neutral when the remote starter is used. The manual
transmission remote starter is designed as supplementary measure of safety ONLY! The manufacturer does not guarantee or does not insure against any damage or
loss of life, which can result from remote starting the remote starter when the vehicle is in gear. The models for manual transmission are only designed to act as a
preventive measure against starting in gear; it remains the sole responsibility of the operator or the owner of the vehicle to make sure the transmission is in neutral.
