Introduction
The PS-2925 Car Starter unit is a state-of-the-art remote car starter representing a breakthrough in vehicle
convenience technology. With the addition of many great features, this product will satisfy any demand for high-end
systems without neglecting any one of the standard features.
The Unit can be easily integrated into just about any of today’s most complex vehicles. We hope that you too, after
installing this system, will agree that the new PS-2925 is a major breakthrough in Remote Starter systems and vehicle
convenience technology.

Please review the installation guide before beginning the installation, particularly the installation schematic
and the programming options.
It is very important that you familiarize yourself with the programming and the operation of the PS-2925 system,
even if you have already installed an Autostart system in the past.
There are many great new features that may be overlooked if the manual is not read, therefore not maximizing the
potential of the PS-2925.
Prior to the installation, ensure that all the hardware components required to install the system are in the box.

Before You Get Started…
WARNING! This unit is for AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS ONLY!
Before installing the unit test that the vehicle will not start if the gear select lever is in a drive position. If the vehicle
starts in gear with the key, have the OEM neutral safety switch replaced before you install the car starter.
Note: If the vehicle only starts in gear by jumping the starter wire, but not with the Key, then a neutral safety relay
must be installed.

Installation Points to Remember
ƇMake sure that vehicles equipped with an automatic Transmission do
not start while in any of the Drive Gears. If the vehicle starts in gear,
install a Manual-transmission Remote Starter instead.
ƇKeep the Antenna away from other types of antennas (GPS/Onstar).
ƇWhen working on a vehicle, always leave a window open.
ƇNever leave the keys in the car. Leave them on a workbench with a
window rolled down.
ƇIf possible, remove courtesy light fuse to prevent battery drain.
ƇInspect vehicle for any body damage or electrical problems
ƇWhen probing/testing wires in a harness, one should check where the
wire harness terminates into the connector plugs.
ƇSometimes Airbag wires will not be labelled (i.e. yellow split loom/tape)
in the harness itself. They will always be labelled at the connector plugs
where they terminate.
ƇNever install the control unit where it could interfere with normal operation
or obstruct service technicians.
ƇAlways solder and tape all connections.
ƇAlways use a grommet when running wires into the Engine compartment.
Never run wires through bare or sharp metal.
ƇDo not disconnect the battery on vehicles equipped with air bags and anti-
theft radios.
ƇNever ground the control unit to the vehicle’s steering column.
ƇMake sure that all the switches and controls operate properly.
ƇVerify that the vehicle starts and idles properly.
ƇMake sure that all safety equipment is installed: the Valet Button, the Hood
Switch and the Warning Label.

4-button multi-channel remote Transmitter
Factory Alarm control: The Module can arm virtually any factory Alarm.
Programmable passive- or active-arming Starter Kill * output: In Passive
Mode, this anti-theft device will arm automatically without requiring the intervention
of the user.

Plug-ins
The PS-2925 system has been designed with simple plug-ins that will speed up the installation. The system offers a
plug -in L.E.D., a plug-in Valet Button, and a plug-in powered Antenna.

Harness Description
When connecting an Autostart Module, it is important to make sure that the connector with the Ground wire is connected first, before
making the 12-volt connections. Should the Unit be powered up before being grounded, there could be serious damage to internal
components of the Unit.
Be careful not to power up a Module before it is properly grounded. To avoid any accident, it is recommended to pull out the Fuses from
their sockets before the installation, and to put them back during the very last steps.
6-Pin Main Ignition Harness
Wire Colour Function Description
ARED (+) 12 V Battery Connect to the largest 12-volt supply wire at the Ignition Harness. Ensure that the
OEM Power wire is fused for more than 25 A.
BPURPLE (+) Starter Output
(30 A)
Connect to the Starter wire of the vehicle. The source wire should have +12 volts with
the Ignition Key in the CRANK position only.
CRED (+) 12 V Battery Connect to the largest 12-volt supply wire at the Ignition Harness. Ensure that the
OEM Power wire is fused for more than 25amps.
D YELLOW (+) Ignition
Output (30 A)
Connect to Ignition wire of the vehicle. The source wire should have +12 volts with the
Ignition Key in the RUN and CRANK positions.
EORANGE
(+) Accessories
output (30 A):
Heater Blower
Motor
Connect to the Accessories wire of the vehicle. The source wire must have power with
the Ignition Key in the IGNITION ON (RUN) position only (no power in the CRANK position).
This wire will power the Heater Blower Motor.
FGREEN (+) 5th Relay
output (30 A)
This high-current output can be used to power a second Ignition, Accessories or
Crank wire. See Jumper settings on page 11.
5-Pin Secondary Harness
Wire Colour Function Description
1BLACK (–) Chassis
Ground input
This wire must be connected to unpainted metal (the Chassis or true Body ground). It
is preferable that you use a factory ground bolt rather than a self-tapping screw.
Screws tend to get loose or rusted over time and can cause erratic problems.
2PURPLE (A.c.) Tachometer
input
This wire must be connected to the negative side of the Ignition coil in vehicles that
use conventional coil systems. In Multi-coil systems, the Tach wire may be difficult to
locate; in that case, the negative side of an injector may be used.
Note: A Tach learning procedure must be done when the installation is completed.
3GREY (–) Hood Switch
input
Connect this wire to the Hood Pin-switch provided with the Unit. (The Pin-switch must
be installed.) This input will disable or shutdown the remote starter when the Hood is
opened.
4ORANGE (+) Brake Switch
input
This wire must be connected to the Brake Light wire of the vehicle. This wire must test
+12 V only when the Brake Pedal is pressed. This input will shut down the remote
Starter if the Brake Pedal is pressed.
5 YELLOW (+) 12 V Parking
Light output
This wire provides a +12 V output. Connect to the Parking Light wire of the vehicle
(the wire must test +12 V with the Light Switch in the ON position).
Note: Ensure that the voltage does not decrease or increase when the dimmer control
switch is turned. If the voltage changes, find another Parking Light wire.

12-Pin Accessories Harness

This 500-mA negative output can be used to control Trunk release (1-sec. pulse).
2BROWN (–) Lock output Programmable 500 mA negative output: 7/10-sec. or 4-sec. pulse.
3GREEN (–) Unlock
output
Programmable 500 mA negative output: 7/10-sec., 4-sec. or double 1/4-sec. pulse.
4WHITE /
BROWN (–) Arm output
Max. 500-mA ground signal when the Doors are locked by remote. This wire will go to
ground 1/4 sec. before the LOCK pulse and go off 1/8 sec. after LOCK. It must be
connected to the OEM Arm wire (usually the Door Pin).
Note: The system also gives a Rearm pulse on this wire after remote-start shutdown.
5WHITE /
GREEN
(–) Disarm
output
Max. 500-mA 1-sec. ground pulse when the Doors are unlocked by remote control.
Connect to the OEM Disarm wire of the vehicle.
Note: The system also gives a Disarm pulse on this wire before remote start.

This wire will provide a constant 500 mA output when the Module is armed (locked by
remote control). It can be connected to an external Starter Kill relay.

Trigger input
This input will start the vehicle with a 1-second ground pulse from an external pager
system or timer module, and shut it down with a 1-sec. pulse.
10 WHITE (–) Ground Out
When Running
This output gives constant 500 mA ground output when the system is running. The
wire becomes active before remote start and will shut off at system shutdown.
Please note: if multiple relays or modules are connected to the Ground Out wire,
make sure they are all diode-isolated from one another: otherwise the vehicle could be
damaged by negative feedback.
11 GREY N/A This pin is not used – leave empty.
12 YELLOW (+) Glow-plug
input
In Diesel mode, this positive input will wait for up to 18 seconds until the Glow-plug
Light goes out before allowing the Module to proceed cranking the Engine. Connect to
the side of the Glow-plug Light which is positive when the Light is on.
Note: the Module will nevertheless proceed cranking the Engine if the Glow-plug Light
is still on after the 18-sec. delay (25 sec. when run time is set to 30 min.).

Transmitter Functions
START button:

Programming a Transmitter
Once the wiring of the Module is complete, the Transmitter must be code-learnt. The PS-2925 Module can learn up to
4 different Transmitters. If a fifth Transmitter is learnt, the code of the first Transmitter in memory will be lost. To erase
all Transmitters from memory, you must reset the Module.
To program a new Transmitter, do the following:
1. Ensure the Ignition is OFF and that the Hood is up.
• Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds
• Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights will come on.
• With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2. Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position, and wait until the Parking Light relay shuts off in the Module;
then turn the Ignition Key OFF,ON, OFF.
The L.E.D. will be flashing for the next step.
3. Press the LOCK button twice within 3 seconds.
The Parking Lights will flash 5 times quickly.
4. To exit, close the Hood.
Note
The L.E.D. follows the Parking Lights in all modes.
The system can hold up to 4 Transmitters in memory.
Multi-Speed Tach Learning
On some Ignition systems, the Tach signal can be too high or too low, thus causing failed starts under different
temperatures. The PS-2925 system is designed to read a wide range of Tach signals. No manual adjustments are
necessary. However, each time a new Unit is installed, a new Tach learning procedure must be carried out.
The Tach learning procedure is as follows:
1. Ensure the Ignition is OFF and that the Hood is up.
• Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds
• Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights will come on.
• With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2. Press and hold the Brake Pedal; press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously.
The Parking Lights will flash 4 times and remain lit.
3. Release the Brake Pedal and start the vehicle. Allow it to reach regular Engine idle speed.
The Parking Lights will go out when the Tach signal is detected.
4. Press and release the Brake Pedal once again. The Parking Lights will flash 5 times quickly to confirm that the
Tach signal has been learnt.
Close the Hood to end the Tach learning Procedure.

The Programming Assistance Button
(A.k.a. the Hood Switch Interrupt.) Mounted on the PS-2925 Module, this button can be used from within the vehicle in-
stead of the Hood Pin-switch in the Engine compartment: when the Hood is opened, pressing the Hood Switch Inter-
rupt button will be equivalent to pressing the Hood Pin-switch – it will cut the ground signal from the Hood Switch line.
Caution!
The Hood Pin-switch must be installed and connected
for the Programming Assistance Button to function.
The button will work only when the Hood is up.
For example, proceed as follows to program a new Transmitter with the Programming Assistance Button:
1. Ensure that the Hood Pin-switch is installed, that the Hood is up and that Ignition is OFF.
• Hold the Programming Assistance Button down for 4 seconds
• Release the Programming Assistance Button.
The Parking Lights will come on.
• With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release Programming Assistance Button again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2. Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position, and wait until the Parking Light relay shuts off in the Module;
then turn the Ignition Key OFF,ON,OFF.
The L.E.D. will be flashing during the next step.
3. Press the LOCK button twice within 3 seconds.
The Parking Lights will flash 5 times quickly.
4. To exit , close the Hood.
Valet Operation
The system can be placed in Valet Mode to disable the remote starting capabilities. This is necessary when the vehicle
is either parked indoors or left to be serviced.
Getting Into Valet Mode
1. Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
2. Press and release the Valet Button. The L.E.D. will come ON.
Getting Out of Valet Mode
1. Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
2. Press and release the Valet Button. The L.E.D. will go out.
Programming Options
The PS-2925 has 2 Programming Modes that allow you select Options according to the requirements of each
installation. These options are designed to help make interfacing with all vehicles possible.
To get into the custom Programming Modes, do the following:
1. Ensure the Ignition is OFF and that the Hood is up.
• Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds
• Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights will come on.
• With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2. Press and hold the Brake Pedal.
3. Press the LOCK button for Mode One or the UNLOCK button for Mode Two. The Parking Lights will flash once for
Mode 1, and twice for Mode 2.
4. Once you have selected the desired Mode, release the Brake Pedal.
Each mode has Functions for which Options must be selected. Once you have selected either Mode 1 or 2, the system
automatically starts you at Function one. You must then select the desired option for each function. Once you have
selected an Option, you will move on to the next Function, and so on.
To select an Option for each Function, press the button according to the Option desired, as follows:
Option 1 = LOCK button
Option 2 = UNLOCK button
Option 3 = TRUNK button
Once an Option has been selected, the Parking Lights will flash 1, 2, or 3 times, depending on the Option selected.
Take your time to make the proper selections. The unit will stay in programming mode until the Hood Pin-switch is
pressed. Pressing the Brake Pedal will bring you back to the programming menu where you can select another Mode.

Installation-programmable Features
The following features can be programmed according to the user’s needs and the requirements of the installation.
Ignition-controlled Door Locks
(Mode 1, Function 1: Option 1 – ON – by default.) This feature will automatically lock all Doors as soon as the key is
turned to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position, and the Brake Pedal is pressed. When the Ignition Key is turned to the OFF
position, the Doors will automatically be unlocked.
Secure Lock
(Mode 1, Function 2 , Option 1 – OFF by default.) This feature allows the Module to control certain OEM factory Alarm
systems that use the factory Lock wire to arm the Alarm and the Unlock wire to disarm it.
If Secure Lock is disabled (Option 1), the Module will still disarm before remote-starting the vehicle. If Secure Lock is
enabled (Option 2), upon receiving a remote START signal the Module will UNLOCK the Doors (disarming the factory
Alarm); 1/2 sec. after remote start it will re-lock the Doors. 4 seconds after shutdown, Secure Lock will re-lock all
Doors once more (arming the system again). Please note that most OEM systems will not rearm the Alarm while the
Engine is running, but will lock the Doors.
Passive or Active Arming of the Starter Kill
(Mode 1, Function 3: Option 1 – Passive with a 1-min. timeout – by default.) The Starter Kill can be programmed
to be active (will not arm automatically) or passive (will arm automatically). In Passive Mode, you can program it to
arm automatically in 1 or 3 min.
To disarm the Starter Kill in Active or Passive Mode, the user must press and hold the UNLOCK button on the
Transmitter (or enable Valet Mode). The Parking Lights will flash twice. If the Door Locks option was installed, this will
also unlock the Doors.
To arm the Starter Kill in Active or Passive Mode, the user must press and hold the LOCK button on the Transmitter.
The Parking Lights will flash once. (If the Door Locks option was installed, this will also lock the Doors). In Passive
Mode, the system will automatically arm itself 1 or 3 minutes after the Engine is shut down.

Lock Pulse Duration
(Mode 1, Function 4: Option 1 – 7/10th sec. LOCK and 7/10 sec. UNLOCK – by default.) The Door Lock pulse duration
can be programmed to give 7/10-sec. LOCK and UNLOCK pulses (by default), 4-sec. LOCK and UNLOCK pulses, or for a
7/10-sec. LOCK pulse and two 1/4-sec. UNLOCK pulses (used for double-pulse disarm/unlock systems).
Engine Run Time
(Mode 2, Function 1: Option 2 – 15 / 20 min. – by default.) In GAS mode the Module can be programmed to keep the
Engine running for 4, 15 (default), or 25 minutes. In DIESEL mode the Module can be set to 9, 20 (default) or 30 min..
Idle Mode
(Mode 2, Function 2: Option 2 – ON – by default.) When programmed, this option allows the user to engage the
remote starter to take over the vehicle while it is already running. This option will keep the vehicle running for the pre-
programmed run time, or until it is shut down.
To activate Idle Mode:
1. While the Engine is running, press LOCK,UNLOCK or START on the Transmitter until the Parking Lights come ON.
If Ignition Locks are disabled, the START button will not cause the Doors to be unlocked.
2. Remove the Ignition Key and exit the vehicle.
3. Lock the Doors if needed – the vehicle will go on running for the entire pre-programmed run time.
Caution:
Do not leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle
running in Idle Mode!!!
Engine Type – Gas or Diesel
(Mode 2, Function 3: Option 2 – GAS – by default.) Set to Gas Mode by default, the unit can be programmed to
operate in Diesel Mode. In Diesel Mode the system will wait for the Glow-plug indicator light to go out before cranking
the Engine. Note that the run time is automatically extended when Diesel Mode is selected.
The Diesel Glow-plug Indicator Light
(Also known as the “wait-to-start light”.) The purpose of the Glow-plug circuit on diesel vehicles is to pre-heat the
Combustion Chamber before the vehicle is started.
When a Remote Starter is installed on a diesel vehicle, the Glow-plug section of the Ignition circuit must be activated
and allowed to operate before the vehicle is remote-started. For that purpose, the Glow-plug input wire of the Module
must be connected to the Glow-plug indicator light of the vehicle. The Module will only accept positive Glow-plug
input signals, therefore negative Glow Plugs should only be connected using relays to invert the polarity.
Warning!
The Glow-plug input wire of the Module is positive.
When connecting a negative glow plug to the Module,
always use a relay to invert the polarity.
A diode must be added between the negative Glow-plug trigger on the relay and the negative Glow-plug wire of the
car. This is to prevent feedback effects on the Glow-plug indicator light on the instrument cluster: the light on the dash
would come on because of the feedback, even though the circuit is off.
When the user remote-starts the vehicle:
• The Module will power up the Ignition circuit and wait to engage the Starter Motor while the Glow-plug indicator
light is still on.
• The Module will engage the Starter Motor as soon as the Glow-plug light (+) goes out.
• Minimum waiting time is 3 seconds.
• Maximum waiting time is 18 seconds.
If no Glow-plug wire is found on the vehicle, the Glow-plug input on the Module may be “timed out”. The Module will
power up the Ignition and Glow-plug circuits and simply wait for the time-out before starting:
• Connecting the Glow-plug input wire of the Module to Ignition will hold the ignition ON for the maximum waiting
time (18 sec., recommended).
• Keeping the Glow-plug input wire of the Module unconnected will hold the ignition ON for the minimum waiting
time (3 sec., not recommended in very cold environments).

Other Features of the Module
Ground Out When Running
This is a 500-mA constant ground output active when the system is running. The output becomes active 1 second
before a remote start, and becomes inactive when the system is shut down. The output can be used to activate
external relays, bypass kits or an external module.
If more than one device is connected to the Ground
Out When Running wire, the devices must be diode
isolated one from another.
Starter Kill Circuit (Installation)
The Starter Kill circuit will provide a constant 500-mA negative output when the system is armed (Locked by remote).
This will prevent anybody from starting the vehicle with the Key. The circuit can be connected to an external Starter Kill
relay (see diagram).
Please note that the installation of the Starter Kill circuit requires an external relay that is not included.

It should be noted that when the system is running
under remote control, the Starter Kill remains active.
This will provide Anti-grind protection.
Caution!
When installing the Starter Kill, it is extremely
important that pin 86 be wired to the Ignition, and that
it not be jumped to pin 30 (this could result in serious
damage to the vehicle).
2nd Ignition / Accessories / Crank Output
The PS-2925 comes equipped with a high-current programmable 5th relay
which can be used to power a 2nd Ignition, Accessory, or Crank Wire.
The unit uses three sets of pins. Each set of pins has a function. To
activate one of the three possible 2nd outputs, place the Jumper (supplied)
on one of the three sets of pins and connect the green 14 AWG wire either
to the 2nd Ignition wire, to the Accessories wire or to the Crank wire of the
vehicle.
Note: Only one set of pins can be used at a time.
Caution: The relay output rating on this Unit is 25 A at most. Defective
OEM solenoid switches can sometimes draw up to 50 or 60 A, causing the
30 A fuse to blow. Verify your circuit with a proper measuring device.
External Trigger
The External Trigger wire can be connected to a pager. A ground pulse on this line will start or stop the Engine.

The Trunk Output
This is a 500-mA negative output. To pop the Trunk, the user must press the TRUNK button.
The following diagrams show how to use this output for positive or negative Trunk release systems.
Cold Weather Mode
Cold Weather Mode will start the Engine every 2 hours and keep it running for a 4-minute interval (20 minutes for
Diesel engines). This will go on for a period of 24 hours.
To activate Cold Weather Mode:
• Press and hold the START button for 3 seconds.
• Release the button: the Parking Lights will flash 3 times.
To exit Cold Weather Mode, do any of the following:
• Open the Hood.
• Start the Engine by remote control.
• Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
• Press and hold the START button for 3 seconds. (The Parking Lights will flash once.)
• Place the vehicle in Valet Mode.
Multi-car Operation
PS-2925 systems allow for Multi-car operation. This allows the owner of two Autostart-equipped vehicles to control
both systems with one Transmitter. (Both vehicles must be equipped with an PS-2925.)
The Transmitter of the primary vehicle can control the Starter Kill system, the Door Locks, the remote car Starter and
Trunk operation of the second vehicle. The Transmitter of the second vehicle can also operate the primary vehicle.
2nd car control (press buttons simultaneously):
• Press TRUNK + LOCK: ...........................LOCK
• Press TRUNK + UNLOCK:........................UNLOCK
• Press TRUNK + START/STOP: ..................START
• Press TRUNK + START/STOP: ..................STOP
• Press TRUNK + LOCK + UNLOCK: ............TRUNK
To program a Transmitter on the second vehicle for Multi-car Operation, you must press the TRUNK button in step 3 of
the Transmitter code-learning procedure:
1. Ensure the Ignition is OFF
• Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds.
• Release the Pin-switch. The Parking Lights will come on.
• While the Parking Lights are on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 sec.
2. Turn the Ignition Key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
• Wait until Parking Lights go OUT, then turn the Ignition Key OFF,ON,OFF.
The L.E.D. will be flashing during the next step.
3. Press the TRUNK button.
The Parking Lights will flash 5 times quickly.
4. To exit, close the Hood.

Events Logging and Playback
This feature will play back the last two Start Failure event codes via the Parking Lights.
Start Failure Codes via Parking Lights
1x = No Start (the Module cranked three times without detecting a Tach signal)
3x = Hardware Reset
4x = Brakes
5x = No Tach Cut-off
6x = Hood
7x = Engine Running, no Ignition detected

The xstands for one Parking Lights flash.
Events Playback
• Press the Hood Pin-switch 3 times (down-up / down-up / down-up).
• The Parking Lights and L.E.D. will flash the 2 events stored in memory.
Note
There is a pause between the events.
The system will play back most recent event first and
then the older one. If there is no error code (no event),
the Parking Lights still give 1-long flash.
Resetting the Module
The PS-2925 system is equipped with a reset function that allows the installer to erase all Transmitter codes and return
all Programming Options to their factory default values.
To reset the module:
1. Ensure the Ignition is OFF, that Valet Mode is disabled and that the Hood is up.
• Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds
• Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights will come on.
• With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2. Press the Valet Button 6 times (1. down-up / 2. down-up / 3…).
3. The Parking Lights will flash 8 times to confirm that the Module has been reset.
Troubleshooting Poor Transmitting Range
In order to ensure optimal range, the antenna should be installed at least 7.5 cm (3 in.) from the roof – 2.5 cm (one
inch) below the tint strip is generally the best location. Install the antenna as far as possible from radio antennas, GPS,
OnStar or factory compasses.
Many factors may affect the operating range of the transmitter. Some of these are:
• The condition of the battery in the transmitter.
• The operating environment (for example: downtown radio-frequency noise, airports, cellular phone towers…)
• Metal: any type of metal will affect operating range. This includes the metal in the car.
• The shape of the vehicle can affect range as well; vans in general have an especially poor range.
• The shape of the roof and A-pillars brings about considerable radio-frequency deflection (in this case the signal
from the remote control). As a result, the direction in which the vehicle is facing in relation to the remote control
can affect the range. Straight on – standing in front of the vehicle – generally gives you the greatest range; the
second best performance is from the back. Using the remote control from either side of the vehicle will usually
give the lowest range.
• The range will be significantly lower in a crowded parking lot than in open space.
• Always hold the transmitter high, approximately at shoulder height. Holding the transmitter against your chin will
also increase your range: your head acts as an antenna.
• The operating range will be somewhat lower on vehicles equipped with an aftermarket or factory alarm.
• Windows and windshields tinted with lead or metallic tints will decrease the operating range.
• The antenna cable may have been cut and/or is grounded out on the chassis. Try using another cable.
• The receiver may be faulty. Try replacing it with another.

back Event Logging Codes. This occurs when the Hood Pin-switch is pressed three times (down-up / down-up / down-up)
Testing
Before closing the installation, we recommend that you verify that the system operates properly. The following testing
procedures should be used to verify proper installation and operation of the system. Before testing, make sure that all
connections are soldered and that the unit is plugged in.
1. Test Hood Pin-switch shutdown: with the vehicle running under remote control, open the Hood; the vehicle
should shut down. If it does not shut down, check the Hood Switch and its connector.
2. Test the Brake shutdown circuit: With the vehicle running under remote control, press and release the Brake
Pedal. The Engine should shut down immediately. If the Engine continues to run, check the Brake Switch
connection.
3. Test all Functions for proper timing and operation.
4. Remote-start the Engine and listen for Starter drag. If the Starter cranks for too long, go through another Tach
learning procedure.
Closing Up
Use tie wraps or screws to properly secure the starter module, and keep the wiring away from any moving parts such
as the Parking Brake or the Steering Column Shafts. Mount all switches in good accessible locations where they do not
risk being kicked or hit accidentally.
Take the time to properly explain all functions and features to the customer before they leave the premises. Most
comebacks are the result of misunderstandings about how a product works or performs. Doing this will save time and
money.
Always make all your connections before plugging in the module and be sure to test all functions properly before
closing up the installation.
