1.1.1 Camera Output Interface Options
The following output interfaces are available for Tiger cameras:
Camera Link (CL). Available for all Tiger cameras. Imperx provides the CamConfig software
graphical user interface (GUI) for configuring your camera.
•CamConfig provides direct communications between the camera and the
computer. You can program and control camera features including exposure and
gain, triggers, image parameters, inputs/outputs, and so on. The software also
provides real-time status information on output resolution, frame rate, frame
time, and exposure.
•The T8810 camera has 8 CCD output taps but uses a 4-Tap Camera Link Medium
interface. The camera reads out the 8 CCD taps at 40 MHz but outputs the 4
Camera Link Taps at 80 MHz. The Camera Link Medium interface supports 8, 10
and 12-bit data formats. The output data is 4-tap interleaved as follows:

•The T8820 camera has 16 CCD output taps and uses an 8-tap Camera Link Full
interface. The camera reads out the 16 CCD taps at 40MHz but outputs the 8
Camera Link Taps at 80 MHz. The Camera Link Full interface only supports 8 or
10-bit data formats. While the camera digitization can support 12-bits per pixel,
the Camera Link Full Interface limits the pixel depth to a maximum of 10-bits.
CoaXPress (CXP). Available for Tiger camera models T9040, T8040, T6641, T6640, T4940,
T4840, T3640, T3340, T2040. Uses third-party software in the CXP frame grabber to
configure the camera.
•An XML file included with the camera provides the parameter names, type,
values, access, and descriptions available for controlling the camera. Section 4
CXP Camera Configuration provides the XML file data.
