IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
• Read all instructions before use.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, variable temperature control, or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any manner.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been

to prevent personal injury or damage to the can opener.
• The blade is sharp. Handle with care.
• Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.
• Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.
• Do not operate this appliance in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
• Carefully route the power supply cord to avoid damage from the knife blades while sharpening.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,

HOW TO USE YOUR CAN OPENER
Opening Cans
• Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
• Plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
• Lift the lever to the upright position. (Refer to the below drawing)
Caution: Be careful not to touch the blade as it is extremely sharp.
• Place the can so that the lower edge of the can lip rests on top of the drive wheel. Be certain
that the cutting blade is on the inside of the can lip. (Refer to the below drawin
Note: This can opener should not be used to open cans designed to be opened by another method,
such as a pull tab, peel-off seal, or rolling key. This can opener will not open rimless cans or with angled
corners.
Note: If there a dent in the rim of a can, open the other end or start the cutting action just beyond the dent.
Note: Aluminium lids will not stick to the magnet.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
• Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
• Before using your new appliance, wipe the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
• To wash the blade assembly:

1. Lift lever to vertical position.
2. Hold can opener body with one hand while gently pulling the blade assembly away
from the front of the unit with the other hand. Wash in warm sudsy water and
then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Caution: Be careful not to touch the blade as it is extremely sharp.
• To re-attach the blade assembly back on the unit:
1. Hold lever in the vertical position.
2. Insert the blade assembly into the key hole locate near the drive wheel and push the
lever in all the way.
3. Rotate the lever clockwise until it is horizontal.
Note: If the blade assembly is properly engaged, it cannot be removed from the can opener
when in horizontal position.
Caution: Be careful not to touch the blade as it is extremely sharp.


Opening Cans

• Push the lever down firmly and hold until the can lid is automatically pierced and the
cutting action begins. (Refer to the below drawing)
Note: It is not necessary to hold the lever down during the cutting cycle.
• When the can is fully opened, the cutting action will automatically stop. The can will
remain in position until the lever is lifted.
• To release, hold the can with one hand and lift the lever to the upright position with the
other hand
Caution: Be careful not to touch the blade as it extremely sharp.
Caution: Avoid contact with the cut edge of the can, it is sharp.
• Carefully remove the lid from the magnet and discard.
Caution: Avoid contact with the cut lid, it is sharp.
• Unplug the unit.
Opening Bottles
• Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
• To open a bottle, grasp it and position the cap under the metal hook in the bottle opener.
(Refer to the below drawing)
Note: The bottle opener will only remove metal bottle caps. Do not use it for screw-off caps;
punch in tabs, or on cans with pull rings.
• Hold the can opener body with one hand and pull down to pop the cap off with the other one. (Refer
to the below drawing)
Caution: Be sure the hook is not under the bottle neck or the glass may break.
Sharpening Knives
• Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
• Be sure the knife is clean and free of grease.
Caution: Do not attempt to sharpen hollow ground blades or those with serrated edges. Always use safe
practices when using or sharpening knives, maintain hands away from the knife blade.
• Place heel of knife into the guide slot located on the back of the can opener. (Refer to the below
drawing)
• Lightly draw the blade towards you, applying a slight downward pressure.
• Repeat this procedure four to five times to put a sharp edge on the knife.



• Hold the can opener body with one hand and pull down to pop the cap off with the other one. (Refer
to the below drawing)
Caution: Be sure the hook is not under the bottle neck or the glass may break.

Caution: Do not attempt to sharpen hollow ground blades or those with serrated edges. Always use safe

CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts. The motor and internal gears of your can opener unit are
permanently lubricated at the factory for lifetime service and require no further attention. The cutting blade
is made of hardened steel and will last for years under normal use. Do not attempt to sharpen.
• Unplug the unit.
• After each use, wash the blade assembly in warm sudsy water and then rinse and
dry thoroughly. Take care not to wet the electrical parts. Never rinse the
appliance directly under tap water and never immerse it in water or other liquids.
Note: Cutting mechanism may collect food or paper from can labels and should be washed
frequently.
• To detach the blade assembly from the unit:
1. Lift lever to vertical position.
2. Hold can opener body with one hand while gently pulling the blade
assembly away from the front of the unit with the other hand.
Caution: Be careful not to touch the blade as it extremely sharp.
• To re-attach the blade assembly back on the unit:
1. Hold lever in the vertical position.
2. Insert the blade assemblies into the key hole locate near the drive
wheel and push the lever in all the way.
3. Rotate the lever clockwise until it is horizontal.

• Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads to clean the appliance.
• Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the appliance.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
• Wind the electrical cord into cord storage.
• Store your appliance in a dry location, such as on a tabletop, countertop, or on a
cupboard shelf.
• Other than recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
• Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho que el otro). Para reducir el
riesgo de choque eléctrico, este enchufe entra en un contacto polarizado de una sola manera. Si el
enchufe no entra correctamente, inviértalo. Si aún así no encaja, busque la ayuda de un electricista
calificado. No intente hacerle ninguna modificación al enchufe.
USO DE UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN
• El producto viene con un cable corto de suministro de potencia para reducir el riesgo que resulta de

ANTES DE UTILIZAR POR PRIMERA VEZ
• Retire todo el material de empaque y las calcomanías adheridas al producto y conserve el manual
de instrucciones.
• Corte y retire la banda plástica que pasa por los contactos del enchufe.
• Antes de usar el abrelatas, limpie toda la superficie de la misma con un paño húmedo.
• Para lavar el conjunto de la cuchilla:
• Para extraer el conjunto de la cuchilla de la unidad:
1. Levante la palanca en posición vertical.
2. Agarre con una mano el cuerpo del abrelatas mientras con la otra mano tire
suavemente el conjunto de la cuchilla de la parte frontal de la unidad. Lave
con agua tibia y jabón. Luego enjuague y seque bien.
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado de no tocar la cuchilla, ya que está muy afilada.
• Para volver a colocar el conjunto de la cuchilla de nuevo en la unidad:
1. Coloque la palanca en posición vertical.
2. Inserte el conjunto de la cuchilla en el orificio localizado cerca de la rueda
de tracción y empuje hacia adentro completamente.
3. Gire la palanca en sentido horario hasta que quede horizontal.
• Nota: Para saber si el conjunto de la cuchilla está acoplado correctamente, verifique que no puede
ser retirado del abrelatas cuando está en posición horizontal.
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado de no tocar la cuchilla, ya que está muy afilada.


COMO USAR SU ABRELATAS
Abriendo Latas
• Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana y estable.
• Enchufe en una toma de corriente estándar de 120 voltios de corriente alterna.
• Levante la palanca a la posición vertical. (Ver la imagen que se muestra abajo)
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado de no tocar la cuchilla, ya que está muy afilada.
• Coloque la lata de modo que la parte inferior del borde de la lata se apoye en la rueda de tracción.
Asegúrese de que la cuchilla de corte está en el interior del borde de la lata. (Ver la imagen que se
muestra abajo)
Nota: Este abrelatas no debe usarse para abrir latas que han sido diseñadas para ser abiertas usando
otros métodos, tales como las que se le quita un sello, se les levanta una guía o aquellas que requieres
una llave. Este abrelatas no abrirá latas sin bordes ni latas esquinadas.
Nota: Si el borde de la lata tiene un golpe, inviértala y ábrala del otro lado, o comience a abrirla después
del área golpeada.
Nota: Las latas de aluminio no se adhieren al imán.
• Presione la palanca hacia abajo con firmeza y mantenga presionando hasta que la tapa de la lata
comience a cortarse de manera automática. (Ver la imagen que se muestra abajo)
Nota: No es necesario que sostenga la palanca del abrelatas hacia abajo durante el ciclo de cortado.

• Cuando se abra la lata completamente la acción de cortado parará automáticamente. La lata se
mantendra en la posición hasta que la palanca se levante.
• Para liberar la lata, sostenga la lata con una mano y levante la palanca a la posición vertical con la
otra mano.
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado de no tocar la cuchilla, ya que está muy afilada.
Advertencia: Evite el contacto con el borde ya cortado de la lata, ya que está muy afilado.
• • Retire con cuidado la tapa le la lata que quedó en el imán y de descarte.
• Advertencia: Evite el contacto con el borde ya cortado de la lata, ya que está muy afilado.
• • Desenchufe la unidad.
Destapando Botellas
• Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana y estable.
• Para destapar una botella, coloque la tapa debajo del gancho de metal en el destapador de botellas.
(Ver la imagen que se muestra abajo)
Nota: El destapador de botellas sólo abrirá tapas de metal. No lo utilice para tapas de rosca, tapas a
presión o en latas con anillos de halar.
• Sostenga el cuerpo del abrelatas con una mano y tire hacia abajo la botella con la otra mano para
destapar la botella. (Ver la imagen que se muestra abajo)
Advertencia: Asegúrese de que el gancho no está bajo el cuello de la botella para prevenir que el vidrio
no se rompa.



Afilando Cuchillos
• Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie plana y estable.
• Asegúrese de que el cuchillo está limpio y libre de grasa.
Advertencia: No trate de afilar cuchillos con bordes dentados o cóncavos. Siempre respete las normas de
seguridad cuando utilice o afile cuchillos. Mantenga las manos lejos de la hoja del cuchillo.
• Coloque la base del cuchillo en la ranura del afilador ubicada en la parte posterior del abrelatas. (Ver
la imagen que se muestra abajo)
• Hale ligeramente el cuchillo hacia usted, aplicando una ligera presión hacia abajo.
• Repita este procedimiento cuatro o cinco veces para que el borde del cuchillo quede afilado.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.
Los motores y engranajes internos del abrelatas han sido lubricados en la fábrica para un servicio de por
vida y no requieren mantenimiento adicional. La cuchilla de corte es de acero endurecido y tendrá una
duración de años bajo condiciones normales de uso. No trate de afilarlo.
• Desconecte el cable del tomacorriente.
• Después de cada uso, lave el conjunto de la cuchilla con agua y jabón. Enjuague y seque
completamente. Tenga cuidado de no mojar las partes eléctricas. Nunca enjuague el abrelatas
directamente bajo el agua del grifo ni la sumerja en agua u otros líquidos.
Nota: El mecanismo de corte puede recoger alimentos o papel de etiquetas de latas y por lo tanto, debe
ser lavado con frecuencia. Asegúrese de que todas las partes están instaladas correctamente antes de
cada uso.
• Para extraer el conjunto de la cuchilla de la unidad:
1. Levante la palanca en posición vertical.
