Please review the contents of this User Manual to familiarize yourself
with the IndieVice, and its components. Be sure to follow the
instructions laid out in "Quick Start Guide" section to properly use the
IndieVice.

DESCRIPTION
By owning an IndieVice, you are part of a select group of filmmakers
who want to bring their craft to a new level through the use of their
smartphones. The IndieVice is for mobile creators who know that
looking professional is as important as being professional.
The IndieVice is for those who not only want to document essential
moments of everyday life, but also tell compelling stories that move us
all. The IndieVices' ability to allow its user to single handedly control
their smartphone gives the style and professional look of renowned
cinematographers' gear.

unnecessary light and glare from entering the camera. To benefit,

Handle
Serves as handgrip, accessory support as well as magnetic cradle
for the IndieVice Smart Controller.
IndieVice Smart Controller
Powered by IndieVice Smart Technology, the IndieVice Smart
Controller can be placed either on top of or below the handle.
Securely fastens with internal magnets.
Start-Stop
Activates the start and stop functionality of your smartphone in
video mode and will take a photo when your smartphone is in
photo mode.
Diopter
Adjusts the IndieVice to your eyesight by making the necessary
corrections to view a sharper image through your smartphone.
Eyepiece
Made of pure flexible silicone the IndieVice eyepiece adapts
comfortably to your eye.
Neck Strap Hole
Use to attach neck strap.
Rear 1/4" Screw
A standard 1/4" screw to support accessories such as tripods and
other grip equipment.
Front 1/4" Screw
A standard 1/4"screw to support accessories such as tripods and
other grip equipment.

Swivel Lock
Responsible for locking the Mobile Holder's swivel mechanism in
place. The lock has 3 settings; locked with mobile holder (lower
position), locked without mobile holder (upper position), and open.
Must always be unlocked to swivel the mobile holder, and re-locked
when the mobile holder is in the lower position.
Lower Clamp
Serves to hold your smartphone in position. Carefully follow the
instructions in the "Quick Start Guide" section of the manual prior to
using the IndieVice.
Locking Knob
The Locking Knob tightens the clamps to create a secure grip
around your smartphone. Turn right to tighten the tension and left to
loosen the tension around your smartphone.
WARNING! Locking knob must be loosened in order to remove your
smartphone. Failing to loosen knob before removing your smartphone
could damage your smartphone or the clamps.
Front Knob
Keeps the Lens Holder in the desired position according to your
smartphone's camera configuration. Once in place, there is no need
to readjust if using the same mobile device.
Lens
Mount any lens or adapter that fits a 37mm and 52mm thread.
Make sure the optics of the lens is compatible with your smartphone.
The IndieVice lens is compatible with most smartphone cameras.

Upper Clamp
Serves to hold your smartphone in position. Carefully follow the
instructions in the "Quick Start Guide" section of the manual prior to
using the IndieVice.

Mobile Holder
Holds your smartphone in place while inserted in the IndieVice.
Can be used in two positions; Upper and Lower. The Mobile
Holder pivots 180 degrees to create 2 separate filming angles.
Swivel Grips
Spring-loaded grips that pull the Mobile Holder forward in order to
swivel the unit 180-degrees.
Lens Holder
Supports lenses with threads of either 37mm or 52mm.
The Lens Holder is adaptable to various smartphones, and is
interchangeable from left to right depending on the camera
orientation of your smartphone.
Smart Controller Handle Guides
The two raised circles serve as guides to place the IndieVice
Smart Controller. The Smart Controller securely attaches with
internal magnets.
PAIRING THE SMART CONTROLLER
Turn on the switch on the side of the Smart Controller. A blue
light will blink indicating that it is ready to be paired with your
smartphone. In your smartphone’s settings, ensure that your
Bluetooth has been switched on. Look for the device named:
IndieVice
Click the device to pair with your smartphone.
The Smart Controller can be charged with a USB cable (not
included)
Hand Strap
Adjustable with hook and loop fasteners to fit various hand sizes.
Allows for a perfect grip of the IndieVice, and ideal finger
placement for the in camcorder style.
Rear Handle 1/4" Screw
A standard 1/4" screw to support accessories such as lighting and
audio.
Front Handle 1/4" Screw
A standard 1/4" screw to support accessories such as lighting and
audio.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Regular care and maintenance of your IndieVice is an important
and necessary process that will ensure your IndieVice functions
properly. We recommend using a soft microfiber cloth to clean the
diopter lens before using it. Keep the area surrounding the
optical mechanism clear of debris and other particles. Use a soft
cloth to clean the body of the IndieVice. Do not immerse the
IndieVice in water, as water may be trapped within the body of the
IndieVice. Please ensure all knobs are loosened to release the
tension on the clamps when not in use for an extended period. We
recommend checking the Smart Controller from time to time to
verify that the casing is in optimum condition, and that the
non-removable battery is securely enclosed in the remote casing.
Before storing the IndieVice, we suggest placing the IndieVice in
the camcorder style.
Important Safety and Warning Instructions
READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do NOT overtighten the locking knob or front knob, doing so may
damage your device. Do not remove your smartphone without
loosening the tension of the locking knob, this could damage your
smartphone or the clamps. Refer to 11# of the manual.
2. The IndieVice is only for intended use as described in this manual.
3. DO NOT use the Smart Controller if the housing is damaged and/or
compromised. The Smart Controllers internal battery may cause
serious injury if perforated or damaged in any way.
4. Changes or modifications to the IndieVice or Smart Controller could
void the user authority to warranties and guarantees.

WARNING - KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
1. Swallowing may lead to serious injury in as little as 2 hours or
death, due to chemical burns and potential perforation of
esophagus.
2. If you suspect your child has swallowed or ingested a battery,
immediately seek urgent medical assistance.
3. Examine device and make sure the battery compartment is
correctly secured. Do not use if compartment is not secure.
