
Your doctor has prescribed a Nimbus™ II Flex Ambulatory Infusion System to
deliver medications and/or fluids.
This Quick Reference Guide will cover basic information about the pump and how to
manage the pump at home. Do not attempt to use the functions of the pump unless
specifically instructed and trained by a licensed health care provider.
Get Familiar with the Pump
Your pump has been placed in a “Pack and Wear Pouch”. The front of the Nimbus™
pump can be seen through the pouch. Please leave the pump secured inside the pouch
at all times unless specifically instructed by a licensed health care provider.
Alerts
During an infusion the pump may display an alert message on the screen, the pump
will beep 3 times and the LED will flash a RED light on the upper right corner of the
pump. When an alert message is visible, WRITE down the message displayed on the
screen and press the RUN/STOP key to silence the alarm.
Press Run/Stop key again to resume infusion once the Alert message has been
resolved.

The screen will display the infusion rate in mL / Hr and the infusion mode of the
medication infusing. The VTBI (Volume To Be Infused) and the VINF (Volume
Infused) will alternate display under the rate value. Pressing the info key will return
to the previous screen. The LED light in the upper right corner will flash GREEN or stay
on during the first 10 minutes of the infusion. The GREEN light will only turn on again
if a key is pressed on the pump or an Alert has occurred.
Infusion Complete
When the infusion is complete, the screen will display
Infusion Complete and the light will flash RED. The
VTBI will be 0 mL and the pump will beep 3 times.
The “alert” symbol will flash on the screen.
Press RUN/STOP to silence the alarm.
Go to your doctor’s office to have the pump disconnected.
Infusion CompleteWhen the infusion is completed, VTBI (Volume To Be Infused) reaches 0ml
and the pump stops infusing. “000” flashes on the display screen indicating end-of-infusion
