1 Preface
This instruction manual must beread by theoperating staffandthe persons responsible for themaintenance
ofthe appliance prior to start-up and isan addition tothe trainingmaterial.
Any damage caused by non-adherence tothe instructions givenin this manual will not becovered by our
warranty.
The user ofthe machine shall observe all andany legalregulationsdealingwithsecurityand healthregula-
tions in the respective countries.
1.1 Regulations for use
The boot dryer is designed solely for drying andstoring boots (conventionalusage according to
regulations).The use ofthe machinefor any otherpurpose isnot consideredtobe con-
ventional usage. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused as a result of unconventio-
nal usage, and the latter is entirely at the risk of the user.
In order to comply with conventional usage, the manufacturer’s regulations concerning operation, mainte-
nance and servicing of the machine should be strictly adhered to.
The relevant accident prevention regulations as well as other generally recognized legal safety standards
must be respected.
Any alterations made to the machine by the user automatically removes any responsibility on the part of the
manufacturer for any damage resulting there of.
As we are constantly striving to improve our products, we reserve the right to make any alterations or impro-
vements we deem to be necessary. However, we are not obliged to carry out these alterations or improve-
ments on machines or equipment already delivered by us.
All illustrations, measurements and weights quoted in the User Guide are not binding.

2 General hints
2.1 Safety instructions
• The installation may only be carried out by a skilled electrician who knows and adheres precisely to the local
regulations and additional provisions as issued by local code.
• Observe correct AC voltage!
• The voltage ratings are shown on the rating plate on the top of the machine.
• Please check whether this data conincide with your voltage.
• The boot dryer may only be operated with fully mounted protective covers and safeguards.
• Before moving the device or making any changes in the machine, disconnect mains plug!
• The appliance should only be operated with original "WINTERSTEIGER" spare parts or materials subject to
wear and tear. If materials of other vendors are used, then this is at your own risk and on the operator´s re-
sponsibility.
• Ensure sufficient ventilation in the work room!

3 Function
• Easy operation with analog timer

5 Transport, storage and moving
5.1 Transport of the unit
The product has to be transported in the original packing and in an upright position.
5.2 Storage of the unit
Temperature: 0° to +40°C.
To avoid damage of the unit, please do not stack anything on the crate!
5.3 Unwrapping and positioning
• Follow all instructions carefully, in order to avoid any injuries, or damages to the machines.
5.4 Setting up
When choosing the position of the boot dryer you should bear in mind the intensity of work and the space
needed for easy handling (working and walking areas). Whenever possible, the boot dryer should be moun-
tedinawellventilatedroomclosetoapowersource.
When choosing the position of the unit, do not forget to follow the working safety regulations in
force.
• Never push any object into the extractor fan grid of the boot dryer or even cover it up in any
way (do not obstruct the dryer)!
• To ensure that INNOVA operates properly, it must be put in a place where ambient tempera-
ture never falls under 18°C.

6 Description of the operating elements
A: Main switch manual - automatic mode:
•Manual mode
The circulating fan and the disinfection are activated.
• Off
Switching off of the machine.
•Automatic mode
The drying and disinfection of the boots are done by the pre-
set time on the timer.
B: Switch hot air
• Step 1 or step 2
C: Timer
D: Control lamp
The green control lamp signalizes activity of the dryer (main
switch not ain off-position)
E: Glass-tube fuse (15A)
6.1 Adjustment of the timer - automatic mode
• Turn the marking (F) of the outer ring (i) to the present hour for
adjustment of the time. Position of the knob (H) has to be in the
center and must not be adjusted.
The timer is equipped with a battery so time will be
kept, should there be a power failure or a short-time
disconnection from the power supply. But the time
has to be adjusted after a longer current interruption.
• Move programming segments (G) towards the outside of the
clock-face to the required drying length of time: cycle starts at
the set time.
Set the switch (A) to automatic for automatic mode.
Set the switch (C) to hot air when drying with hot air.

7 Starting up
7.1 Placing the boot
• To dry the boot place it exactly as shown in the picture (1), whether the boots are for downhill, cross-country
skiing or others.
• If the boot dryer is being used for boots whose weight is not enough to activate the nozzle on the dryer head,
undo the spring as shown in picture (2).

7.2 Operation
• Check the level of the air deodorant granules.
• Plug in the appliance.
• Switch on the power to the dryer by means of the switch (A) and select manual or automatic mode. Check
the adjustment of the timer when automatic mode was selected.
• Select the desired heating power (step 1 or 2) using switch (B).
• Remove the boots after the drying cycle.
• The next cycle can be started.

8 Maintenance
Switch off the appliance and disconnect mains plug before cleaning!
8.1 Changing the air deodorant
• On the bottom of the front there is a shelf for the air deodo-
rant.
• Change the air deodorant plates, as soon as their surface
dries out!
Persistency of the deodorant in 5-hours-operation
approx. 2 months!
8.2 Cleaning
• Clean the frame (C) and the valves (D) regularly with a damp
cloth.
• Remove the dust from the inside of the ventilators yearly by
opening of the front cover (E).
Do not clean the appliance with a high-pressure cle-
aner!

9 Trouble shooting
When working on the machine disconnect electricity! The machine may only be operated with
all covers and safeguards mounted!
