11) If you are planning to manually link Micro Shutter to any INSTEON controllers, do so now (see Adding Micro
Shutter as an INSTEON Responder below).
12) Turn breaker off.
13) Place Micro Shutter in rear of wall box.
14) Remount switch in wall box.
15) Turn breaker back on.
Connected load will turn on at its previous state (prior to turning off breaker).
16) Test installation by tapping switch on and off.
Connected load will turn on and off.
17) Reinstall wallplate.
Adding Micro Shutter as an INSTEON Responder
We recommend using INSTEON SmartLinc and the free INSTEON iOS/Android smartphone and tablet app or home
automation software (such as HouseLinc) to add and monitor Micro Shutter on your home network. You can also add
Micro Shutter to your network manually by following the instructions below. Note: you must perform these steps
before reinstalling the wall switch.
1) Press and hold controller’s ON/scene button until it beeps.
Controller’s LED will start blinking green.
2) Adjust load connected to Micro Shutter to desired brightness level.
3) Press and hold Micro Shutter’s Set button until it double-beeps.
Controller will double-beep and its LED will stop blinking.
4) Test link by tapping controller’s ON/scene button on and off.
The load connected to Micro Shutter will turn on and off.
