Environment
Never place this product in an environment which could alter its performance or reduce its service
life. Such environments usually include high levels of heat, dust, moisture, and vibration.
Important Safety Instructions

5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
6. Clean only with dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus
(including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has
two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third
grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided
plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with
the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to
avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when
the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not
operate normally, or has been dropped.

Unpacking
Although it is neither complicated to install nor difficult to operate your CD player, a few minutes of
your time is required to read this manual for a properly wired installation and becoming familiar
with its many features and how to use them. Please take a great care in unpacking your set and do
not discard the carton and other packing materials. They may be needed when moving your
set and are required if it ever becomes necessary to return your set for service.
Never place the unit near radiator, in front of heating vents, to direct sun light, in excessive humid
or dusty location to avoid early damage and for your years of quality use. Connect your
complementary components as illustrated in the following page..

Make certain that speakers and input sources are properly connected before switching on.
Keep volume levels turned down before switching on.
NOTE: The system’s operation is delayed by approximately three seconds after pressing the
power switch. This is due to the built-in protection circuitry, designed to protect the
speakers and other system components.

Front Panel Controls
1. DISC INSERT SLOT
Insert a compact disc into the disc insert slot (1) with the label surface facing up.
The disc is automatically loaded into the unit and after reading it turn into the Stop mode.
2. POWER / STOP SWITCH
- POWER
Press this button once to turn on and off(press the button more than 3sec.) the unit.
- STOP
Press this button once temporarily to turn the disc being played into the CD STOP mode.
(Scan/repeat/random function is cleared in stop mode.)
3. RANDOM PLAY SWITCH
This is a playback mode in which the built-in microcomputer selects the track numbers in random order.
Press the switch to play the disc in random order.
The display screen will be displayed "S-RDM". When the current track is over, other tracks will be
selected randomly.
Press this switch again to clear the random play, and normal play is selected.
Press this button(more than 3sec) to turn into the DIRECTORY RANDOM MODE. (MP3 CD ONLY)
4. MUSIC SCAN SWITCH
This function allows playback of the first 10 seconds of each track in succession and is useful in
searching for a specific program ahead on a disc.
Press the Music Scan switch to scan the selections. The digital display will indicate "SCAN" and
the track number display indicates the next number.
The unit advances to the beginning of the next selection, and starts to play the selection for 10

seconds, then scans on to the next selection for 10 seconds, and so on.
Press this switch again to select the desired selection, causing the disc to stop instantly at the
position and starting the desired music.
5. REPEAT SWITCH
- Repeat 1
One press this switch to repeat only one track whish is being played on the disc. The display
screen will indicate "S-RPT".
- Repeat all
Press this switch again to repeat all track on the disc. The display screen will indicate "A-RPT".
- Repeat off
Press this switch again to cancel the repeat play.
- Directory repeat (MP3 cd only)
Press this button(more than 3sec.) to turn into the directory repeat. The display screen will
indicate "D-RPT".
6. PLAY / PAUSE SWITCH
Press the play/pause switch to play in the stop or pause mode.
Press again to temporarily stop playback and waiting at playing track. The display screen will
indicate "S-PAUSE". press again to restart play.
7. LCD DISPLAY
The "S-CDP" indicate will appear, and track number and play time (minute/second) are displayed
in the LCD.
If you use the mp3 CD, the information of the disc is displayed in the LCD.
8. TRACK SELECTION AND MUSIC SEARCH SWITCH
<TRACK SELECTION>
If you wish to search for a particular track, push the Track Up/Down switch (" >>, << ") until the
desired track number is indicated on the digital display.
- Forward Mode
1. Press the Track Up ( >> ) switch once.
The display counter indicator will display the next track number.
The unit will search the beginning of the next selection, and start to play it.
2. To search for a selection further ahead, press this switch until the desired track number is
indicated on the display counter.
- Reverse Mode
1. Press the Track Down ( << ) switch once.
The beginning of the track being played is searched for.
2. To search for a track further back, push the switch until the desired track number is indicated
on the display counter.

<MUSIC SEARCH>
Press the Manual Music Search Switch ( >>, << ) to rapidly advance or retrace a short distance to
the desired position on a track during disc play.
9. DIRECTORY SELECTION SWITCH (MP3 ONLY)
If you wish to search for a particular directory, push the directory Up/Down switch ( >>, << ) until
the desired directory number is indicated on the digital display.
NOTE : If you write a disc without making directories, the first track will be played when you
pressed the directory Up/Down switch ( >>, << ).
- Forward Mode
1. Press the Directory Up ( >> ) switch once.

The unit will search the beginning of the next selection, and start to play it.
2. To search for a selection further ahead, press this switch until the desired directory number is
indicated on the display counter.
- Reverse Mode
1. Press the Directory Down ( << ) switch once.
The beginning of the directory being played is searched for.
2. To search for a directory further back, push the switch until the desired directory number is
indicated on the display counter.
10. EJECT SWITCH
Press the Eject Switch to remove the disc, and it will come out automatically.
11. CD VOLUME, ON/OFF SWITCH
You can adjust the volume level of Compact Disc Player or the power ON/OFF of CD.
NOTE : RESET SWITCH
Use this Reset Switch for the following reasons:
Initial installation of the unit when all wiring is completed.
When CD disc does not work properly and does not accept the disc.
CD disc is accepted but numeric is erratic or time readout is constantly reset.
Everytime the reset switch is activated, disc programming will be erased, thus requiring
reprogramming of the unit.
