FRONTPANELFEATURES
1.INPUT:Thisisfortheconnectionwiththeoutputofyourinstrument.
ThePASSIVEinputisusedwiththemajorityofinstruments,whiletheACTIVEinputhasanattenuatedsensitivityfor
usewithinstrumentswith"HighOutput"pick-upsoractivepreamplifiercircuits(Ifyourbassusesaninternalbattery
orbatteries,thisistheadvisedinput).
2.GAIN:Thiscontrolstheamountofgainappliedtothesignalattheinstrumentinput.
3.SHAPE/PULLFLATBOOST:Thiscontrolstheshapeofa pre-setequalizationcurveappliedtothesignalbeforethe
graphicequalizer.Itinfluencesmostlytheleveland"Q"ofthelow-midfrequencyresponse.Pullingthisknobintothe
raisedpositionimposesa preset,flatequalization.
4.MASTER:Thiscontrolsthelevelofthesignalthatispassedtotheoutputamplificationstage,therebycontrollingthe
generalvolumeoftheamplifier.
5.COMPRESSIONON/OFF:Thisisusedtoinsertorremovethecompressorcircuitfromthesignalpath.TheLED
aboveindicateswhenthecompressorisinserted.
6.COMPRESSIONRATIO:Thiscontrolstheamountofcompressionappliedtothesignal.Rotatedcompletelycounter-
clockwise,thisminimizesthedynamicrangeofthesignalattheoutputofthecompressor,therebymakingthenotes
playedloudermoresimilarinvolumetothenotesplayedsofter.Completelyrotatedclockwise,thisallowsthesignal
topasswiththesamedynamicrangewithwhichitentered.Thiscontrolisveryusefulfor"slapped"playing,inthatit
eliminatesthedrasticdifferenceinvolumebetweenthenotesplayedwiththethumbandthosehammeredonwiththe
lefthand.
7.GRAPHICEQON/OFF:ThisisusedtoinsertorremovetheGraphicEqualizerfromthesignalpath.TheLED
aboveindicateswhentheEqualizerisinserted.
8.GRAPHICEQUALIZER:Thesesevenslidersallowyoutodrasticallyadjusttheresponseoftheamplifierinseven
frequencyspecificranges.Theycanbeusedcorrectively,toadjustfrequenciestostrongorweakintheinstrument
output,orcreativelytopersonalizeyourtone.
9.PHONES:Thisisfortheoutputtoanyheadphonewithatleast8 fiimpedance.Whenthisisused,theinternalloud
speakerisdeactivated.Thesignalissenttobothsidesofstereoheadphones.
10POWER:TurnstheAmplifieronandoff.
