The DRS M3500 is the world’s smallest 320 x
240 pixel resolution infrared module. At just over
two cubic inches, the M3500 easily can be inte-
grated into a variety of finished camera configura-
tions, including handheld or helmet mounted ap-
plications.
Building on the M3500’s core electronics, the
E3500 is a 60 Hz, 25µm pitch 320 x 240 pixel
camera engine providing unmatched integrator
flexibility and customization. Analog RS-170
video and optional 12 bit digital LVDS outputs are
provided at the camera back panel. Available
optics for the M3500 include 11mm and 25.7mm
f/1.0 Germanium lenses.
Both the M3500 module and E3500 camera en-
gine feature DRS’ 320x240 25µm pixel mi-
crobolometer for unsurpassed resolution and
thermal sensitivity. Camera level NEdT is typi-
cally better than 60 mKelvin.
Ruggedized packaging make the E3500 engine
suitable for a wide variety of OEM and end user
applications, including unmanned aerial and
ground vehicles, robotics, firefighting, and weap-
ons systems, to name but a few.
