BEFORE YOU START
A. Identify and inventory all parts using the checklist boxes in the parts list. Be sure to
keep the hardware bags and their contents separate. If any parts are missing call
our Customer Service Department (620-662-2233).
B. Test fit all Bolts by inserting them into the respective hole. If necessary, carefully
scrape away any excess powder coating buildup from inside the holes. Do not
scrape away all of the powder coating. Bare metal may rust.

a. Mix the concre te according to the instru ctions on the bags. Note th at
a thicker mix of concrete will dry stro nger th an a thin mix. Pour th e
concre te into the hole, sto pping approximate ly 18 inches fro m th e to p
of th e hole.
b. In sert th e fo ur pieces of Anchor Rebar (P ) into th e hole, pushing each
piece fi rm ly to the botto m of the hole. The fo ur pieces should be
arr anged in a square approximate ly 8 inches wide so that each piece of
rebar will be positi oned next to the J-Bolts when th e J-Bolt Template
is placed in th e cement.
c. Finish filling th e hole to the to p with concrete. The top of th e concrete
should reach just above the level of th e to p of the fo rm .

a. Positi on the J-Bolt Template (O) over th e hole so that it is centered,
with th e cente r line of the J-Bolt para llel with the edge of th e playin g
surf ace . (See Figure 2A )
b.P ush the J-B olts (N ) in to the concre te until th e J-Bolt Templa te is
restin g fla t against th e surface o f the concre te .
c. Gra sp the tops of the J-Bolts and agita te the Template assembly back
and fo rt h re peate dly to elimin ate any air bubble s in th e concrete. Lift th e
Template sli ghtly above the concre te when agita tin g . Make sure th e
Template is re stin g on the concre te afte r agita tin g. Form the concre te
into a downward slo pe away from the Pole to allow water runoff.
d. Cle an off any concre te that may be on the J-Bolt Template or th e exposed
port io ns of th e J-B olts .
e. Using a carpente r’s le vel, make sure the Template is square to and level
with th e playing surface.
f. All ow the concre te to cure fo r a minimum of 5-7 days befo re installing
the rest of your basketball syste m. In cold , wet weath er or humid
cli mates, allow additi onal tim e for the concre te to cure .

YOU ARE NOW FINISHED WITH THE INITIAL ASSEMBLY STEPS. DO NOT PRO-
CEED WITH THE ASSEMBLY UNTIL THE CONCRETE HAS FULLY CURED . CUR-
ING WILL TAKE A MINIMUM OF 72 HOURS. IN HUMID CLIMATES OR WET
WEATHER, ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME FOR THE CONCRETE TO CURE.

STEP1
A. Slide a 18mm Thick Washer (Q) over each of the J-Bolts(N) as shown in FIGURE 1A.
B. Place the Main Post(A) over the J-Bolts. Slide a 18mm Thick Washer(Q) and thread a 18mm Hex
Nut(S) to each J-bolt.Tighten the Nuts only a few turns onto the J-Bolts as shown in FIGURE 1B.
C. If the Main Post (A) is not exactly vertical, adjust the 18mm J-Bolt Hex Nuts(R) located under the
Post base. Tighten all of the Flange Nuts(S) when Main Post(A) is vertical.
NOTE: Face the Main Post(A) with Actuator Bracket facing away from playing court(as shown in FIGURE 1C).

A. Slide the Main Extension Arm(B) over the
top of the Main Post(A) and attach to the
lower pivot tube with a 18mm x 415mm Hex
Bolt(T), two 18mm Flat Washers(U) and a
18mm Lock Nut(V).

STEP 8
A. After everything is square, make sure all nuts on the
system have been tightened.
NOTE: But do not over tighten the Nuts, make sure the unit
can be adjusted up and down.
B. To apply the Rim Height Sticker(H), first use a tape
measure to crank rim up to exactly 10’ from the playing
surface. Use a pencil to make a mark on the Spring-assist
Cartridge(E) where the bottom of the Rim Height Indicator(G)
stops. Then, peel and apply Rim Height Sticker(H) to outside
of Spring-assist Cartridge(E) lining up the pencil mark with the
10’ mark on the Rim Height Sticker(H).
C. Attach Post Pad and Gusset Pad to Main Post(A) as shown.
A. Attach the backboard to Main Extension Arm(B) by
using a 18mm x 415mm Hex Bolt(W), two 18mm Flat
Washers(U) and a 18mm Lock Nut(M).
B. Attach the 2 Upper Extension Arm(C) to Backboard
frame,be sure the longer welded tubes at the end
of upper arms face to backboard frame as shown,
using a 18mm x 345mm Hex Bolt(W), two 18mm
Flat Washers(U) and a 18mm Lock Nut(V) to tight
the upper arms.
A. Insert the 4 Plastic and Steel Spacers(M) into the 4
holes on the backboard.
CAUTION: Do not proceed with rim installation
without these spacers!
B. Mount the rim to the H-frame Backboard Mount(D)
and Backboard Assembly using the hardware supplied
in rim box.
NOTE: Use a level to make sure rim is level side to side
before tightening nuts.
