Handling the Batteries
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the batteries correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the battery
compartment.
• Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
• Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix dierent types of batteries.
• Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance
with local regulations.
Mains Power
Before using, connect the supplied
mains adapter to the DC 5V IN
socket at the rear of the unit and
then to the main socket.
Battery Power
This unit can be powered by batteries as
well. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included)
correctly by following the polarity (+ or –)
indications in the battery compartment.
Power Source
Ensure that the adapter plug is disconnected from
the unit when you want to use battery power.
Otherwise, the battery power will be disconnected.

Adjusting the Stand
Lift the stand up and then rotate it clockwise as shown until the stand locks in place.
Inserting an Interchangeable Cushion
This unit includes 5 cushions for tting dierent iPod/iPhone models. Please see the table
below to install the correct cushion for your iPod/iPhone.

Inserting your iPod/iPhone
1. Press the iPod/iPhone dock door at the marking to open it.
2. Insert your iPod/iPhone into the iPod/iPhone dock until it sits rmly in place.
3. Close the iPod/iPhone dock door and then switch on your iPod/iPhone.
4. Switch on the unit and it will automatically start playing the iPod/iPhone music after
a few seconds.
5. Select your desired music, photos and videos using the iPod/iPhone controls.
Basic Operation
Powering ON/OFF
Switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the top of the unit to the ON position.
To switch the unit o, switch the POWER ON / OFF switch to the OFF position.
Adjusting Volume
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to increase / decrease the volume.
• The following iPod models cannot be tted into the dock house: iPod 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
generation, iPod Mini. To enjoy music from those iPods, please use the AUX IN function.
• When the unit is powered by batteries, please ensure that iPod/iPhone playback has stopped
before switching o the unit, otherwise, the iPod/iPhone battery will keep draining until the
iPod/iPhone is removed from the dock.
When the iPod/iPhone is connected, it will automatically start charging the iPod/
iPhone battery until it is fully charged.

AUX IN Operation
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use the AUX IN cable (included) to connect
the headphone socket of your audio device to the AUX IN socket at the top of the unit.
2. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket.
3. Switch on the unit and it will enter the AUX IN mode automatically.
4. Control the playback of your connected audio device via its own controls.
When connecting your audio device through the AUX IN socket, the sound from
your iPod/iPhone will cut o and be replaced by the sound from your audio
device. The sound from your iPod/iPhone will return when the AUX IN cable is
disconnected. The docked iPod/iPhone can still be charged if the unit is powered
by a mains adapter.
• If you charge the iPod/iPhone while playing music photos or videos, it may take a longer time.
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd and 4th generation iPods and iPod mini cannot be charged by this unit.
• Charging function will only work when using the mains adapter as the power source. iPod/
iPhone will NOT charge when using battery power.
Charging your iPod/iPhone (only with mains adapter)
1. Your iPod/iPhone has an internal non-removable battery. The battery may need to be
charged if it has not been used for a while.
2. You can automatically charge the iPod/iPhone through the unit when is docked.

Problem Cause / Solution
No Sound • Adjust the volume control, it may not be turned up.
• Disconnect the AUX IN cable.
• Check ON/OFF button is turned ON.
• Check the mains adapter is plugged in.
• Replace the batteries.
• Reinsert iPod/iPhone.
• Check the music and press playback function from iPod/
iPhone.
Sound is distorted • Volume is too high. Adjust the volume control.
The device does not
respond to button
commands
• Switch o the device, disconnect the mains power and plug in
again after a few seconds.
• Replace the batteries.
No video is displayed • Set the TV out of your iPod to OFF (not for iPod/iPhone Touch)

• Read all the instructions carefully before
using the unit and keep them for future
reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit
onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the
rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you
are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch o,
withdraw the mains plug and consult your
dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas/
electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No
objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or
re hazard due to overheating, ensure
that curtains and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
• Do not install or place this unit in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well
ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting/disconnecting
other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket
during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption,
never leave the unit switched on while
unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of
the house. Switch it o and disconnect the
mains adapter from the mains socket.
Mains Adapter Cable
• Make sure the unit is not resting on top of
the mains adapter cable, as the weight of
the unit may damage the mains adapter
cable and create a safety hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely
aect the operating performance of the
unit, and cause a distorted picture or
sound.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the unit are easily
swallowed by young children and this is
dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the batteries
are secured in the unit. Seek medical
advice if you believe a cell has been
swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.

Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the unit.
• Never let anyone especially children push
anything into the holes, slots or any other
openings in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.

Service
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove screws. The unit does not contain
any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all
maintenance work to qualied personnel.
• Do not open any xed covers as this may
expose dangerous voltages.
Maintenance
• Ensure to unplug the unit from the mains
socket before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or
abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.
• Do not use liquids to clean the unit.
