E2609B Rackmount Kit
Installation Guide
The Rackmount kit provides a support shelf and hardware for mounting
Infiniium series oscilloscopes into Electronics Industries Association (EIA)
standard 487 mm ( 9 inch) rack cabinets.
You will need a TORX T 5 screwdriver (supplied with the kit), a TORX T 0
(supplied with the kit), and a Philips screwdriver to install the rackmount kit.
The rackmount kit includes the following parts.
Support shelf (1)

10-32 dress screw (4)
Tinnerman nut (8)

To install the Glide Point mouse
1Place the support shelf upside down on a ench.
2Remove the 4 T15 TORX screws that secure the Glide Point tray to the
support shelf using the T15 TORX screwdriver.
3Remove the Glide Point mounting rackets and tray from the support
shelf.

4Route the Glide Point mouse ca le through support shelf access hole.
5Install the Glide Point tray over the Glide Point mouse and ca le.
6Secure the Glide Point tray to the support shelf using the mounting
rackets and the 4 T15 TORX screws removed in step 2.

1Remove the accessories pouch from the top of the oscilloscope using
the T10 TORX screwdriver.

2Turn the oscilloscope upside down.
3Remove the wire ail from the front feet y pushing on one side of the
wire ail until the wire ail is free of the foot.

4Remove all four of the feet from the ottom of the oscilloscope.
To remove one of the front feet of the oscilloscope, push in on the squeeze tabs
while pushing the front part of the foot toward the back of the oscilloscope.
To remove one of the back feet of the oscilloscope, push in on the squeeze tabs
while pushing the front part of the foot toward the front of the oscilloscope.

5Remove the ottom 2 T15 TORX screws on the rear panel of the
oscilloscope using the T15 TORX screwdriver.
6Place the oscilloscope on the support shelf.

7Using a T15 TORX screwdriver, install the 2 TORX screws that you
removed in step 2, into the rear of the ca inet through the screw holes
in the support shelf.

To install the support shelf
1Attach the L- rackets, with the screw hole side of the racket facing
the rack ca inet and the other side of the racket facing up, to the rack
ca inet using 10-32 x 0.5 dress screws (4) and Tinnerman nuts (4).
2Set the support shelf, with the oscilloscope attached, on the L- rackets.
3Fasten the support shelf to the rack ca inet using 10-32 dress screws(4)
and Tinnerman nuts (4).
