OPERATION MANUAL
Thank you for buying this IWX®product. To take full advantage of all possibilities and for your own safety,
please read these operating instructions very carefully before you start using this unit.
After proper installation, the individual components form a fully functional plug & play system. Any
modification of the delivered system does not guarantee functionality and all warranty claims will be lost.
FEATURES
•Hi-tech thermographic body temperature detection system using 2 cameras:
•1 Thermal camera equipped with an inventive 256x192 IRFPA-sensor
•1 Visual light camera equipped with a 1280x768 pixel sensor
•Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, this camera simultaneously scans the temperature of large flows of
people.
•Perfect for non-contact body temperature monitoring at entrance of schools, universities, malls,
companies, sports centers/clubs, hospitals, bus/railway stations, concerts, museums, …
•In addition, the camera can also check and warn when people without a face mask are detected!
•The system includes a micro-computer with pre-installed software: just connect the system to an
optional video monitor using the included HDMI-cable and you are ready to run!
•No PC needed, even an IR-remote-control/mouse for easy operation is included!
•Multi-target temperature measurement up to 4m distance with 0,5°C accuracy!
•The automatic “alarm” goes off and a combined thermal + visual snapshot is saved when a person
with increased temperature passes: very easy to recognize someone with high body temperature!
è Both functions can be disabled for manual follow-up and to comply with European GDPR-regulations
on "Privacy and Protection of Personal Data"

images and video images).
The use of these features can be subject to local law and regulations, such as for example those that relate
to the treatment of personal data, the use of camera’s or the principle of confidentiality of electronic
communication. Please take sufficient information so that you comply with the local regulation.
IWX can’t be held responsible nor accountable for your use of such features.
BEFORE USE
•Before you start using this unit, please check if there’s no transportation damage. Should there be any, do
not use the device and consult your dealer first.
•Important: This device left our factory in perfect condition and well packaged. It is absolutely necessary
for the user to strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in this user manual. Any damage caused
by mishandling is not subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept responsibility for any resulting defects
or problems caused by disregarding this user manual.
•Keep this booklet in a safe place for future consultation. If you sell the fixture, be sure to add this user
manual.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
•To protect the environment, please try to recycle the packing material as much as possible.
•To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
•To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding temperatures when
bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes prevents the unit from working at full
performance or may even cause damages.
•This unit is for indoor use only.
•Don’t place metal objects or spill liquid inside the unit. Electric shock or malfunction may result. If a foreign
object enters the unit, immediately disconnect the mains power.
•Don’t cover any ventilation openings as this may result in overheating.
•Prevent use in dusty environments and clean the unit regularly.
•Keep the unit away from children.
•Maximum save ambient temperature is 40°C. Don’t use this unit at higher ambient temperatures.
•Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during rigging, de-rigging
and servicing.
•Always unplug the unit when it is not used for a longer time or before replacing the bulb or start servicing.
•The electrical installation should be carried out by qualified personal only, according to the regulations for
electrical and mechanical safety in your country.
•Check that the available voltage is not higher than the one stated on the rear panel of the unit.
•The power cord should always be in perfect condition. Switch the unit immediately off when the power cord
is squashed or damaged. It must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•Never let the power-cord come into contact with other cables!
•Always use an appropriate and certified safety cable when installing the unit.
•In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the fixture and contact your dealer immediately.
•The housing and the lenses must be replaced if they are visibly damaged.
•Please use the original packing when the device is to be transported.
•Due to safety reasons it is prohibited to make unauthorized modifications to the unit.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove
the top cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing
to qualified service personnel only.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the
use or the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may
be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
The exclamation point within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence
of important operation and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying
this appliance.

DESCRIPTION:
For easy installation please use the colored markings on cables and Mini PC. Please connect all plugs with
connectors of the same color marking.
1. USB-3 INPUT (blue):connect the camera cable (with the SINGLE USB connector) here.
2. SD CARD SLOT: insert a micro SD card if you want to add storage space to the unit
3. IR REMOTE RECEIVER: point the wireless remote controller to this spot if you want to control the unit
via the supplied. (the remote controller should be powered by 2 AAA batteries, not included)
4. USB-2 INPUT (white):connect the camera cable with the DOUBLE USB connector here
5. POWER INPUT:connect the supplied power adapter to this input.
6. LAN CONNECTION:can be used if you want to connect the unit to the internet via your local network.
7. HDMI OUTPUT: use this output to connect send both audio and video to a TV screen or monitor via the
supplied HDMI cable.
8. AUDIO OUTPUT:can be used to connect headphones or an amplifier.

DISPLAY ON MONITOR
1. Detect num:total number of controlled people
2. Alarm num:number of people that were detected with high body temperature
3. DATE & TIME: Lan/Wlan connection of the Mini PC necessary
4. SET: click here to access the available settings
5. HELP: click here to access the help function (user manual)
6. CAMERA VIEW: this shows the real time visual camera image
7. IR CAMERA VIEW: this shows the real time thermal camera image. The software automatically
recognizes and frames faces. At the same time, it shows the measured body temperature. The software
can check several people at once.
8. ALARM PICTURES: when the “Register Alarms” function is switched on: the “alarm images” of people
with high temperature or not wearing a mask will be displayed here.
9. HISTORY: when Save Record of alarm pictures is switched on, more ‘alarm’ images can be found here.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This product can only work indoors in an environment of 10°C to 50°C. For accurate measurements, we
advise to use the unit in an environment between 10°C and 40°C.
The system will not work in direct sunlight on the camera!
SETTINGS
Click on the [Set] tab in the upper left corner to open the setting window
•VISUAL CAMERA SETTING
oMirror image:use this function to mirror the image of both cameras on the screen (left and right
of each image are inverted)
oMask Detection: when switched on, the camera will also check if people are wearing a mask. If
they are not, an audio message will also be played. This function / warning can be switched on
or off.
oRegister Alarms:images can be displayed and stored. When it is not allowed to use this
function (local privacy regulations) it can be switched off.
§ON: images will be displayed on the screen and they will also be stored in the Android
Box.
§OFF: no images will be displayed or stored.

•IR CAMERA SETTING
oColor Mode:several display color modes are available. Select the one you prefer.
oTemperature unit:select the desired temperature unit (°C or F).
oIR Display ON/OFF:
§ON: visual camera image + thermal camera image will both be shown on the screen.
§OFF: only the visual image will be displayed on the screen. The camera image of the
thermal camera will not be displayed anymore, but the measured information
(temperature / mask) will still be shown on the visual camera image.
•SYSTEM SETTINGS
oLanguage: English
oSet Alarm mode:choose the desired alarm mode.
oCalibration: Calibrate the device. It is essential that you perform the calibration during the initial
installation. During continuous operation, the measured values may change due to external
influences (air humidity, room temperature, etc.). Check the measured values at regular intervals
and carry out a calibration if necessary.
oAlarm temperature: set the desired alarm temperature. Controlled people with this temperature
or higher will trigger the alarm.
oFirmware Version: actual software version on the machine.
•CLEAR CACHE: used to delete all the recorded images
•DEFAULT SETTINGS: used to reset the unit and to go back to all the original factory settings.
MAINTENANCE
Calibration
The device must be calibrated during initial installation and at regular intervals!
To obtain a correct measured value, the system must be adapted to a reference value:
1. Measure the body temperature of a person with a clinical thermometer
2. Measure the body temperature of the same person with the FieberScan Pro
3. In the menu "System Settings" under "Calibration" use the +/- keys to adjust the measuring
value to the reference measurement. (Example: clinical thermometer shows 37° C,
FieberScan Pro shows 36.5° C; calibration setting +0.5° C). Both devices must now display
the same temperature.
During inspection the following points should be checked:
•All screws used for installing the device and any of its parts should be tightly fastened and may not be
corroded.
•Housings, fixations and installations spots should be totally free from any deformation.
•When an optical lens is visibly damaged due to cracks or deep scratches, it must be replaced.
•The cleaning of optical lenses must be carried out periodically to optimize performance and reliability.
