1. Información general
• Manipular el equipo cuidadosamente.

4. Información sobre seguridad en la
utilización del equipo
4.4. Mantenimiento
Antes de manipular en su interior, desconecte el equipo de la toma de red.
La manipulación de los circuitos electrónicos por personal no autori-
zado puede provocar daños de difícil reparación. Consulte al servicio
técnico autorizado de J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Para la limpieza de las partes accesibles del equipo, utilice limpiacristales o un
producto similar. No utilizar disolventes agresivos.
4.5. Garantía
Este producto tiene una garantía de un año. La garantía no cubre los daños
causados por uso indebido o causas ajenas a J. P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Cualquier manipulación del equipo por personal no autorizado anula los be-
necios de la garantía.

5. Descripción del equipo
Los termostatos de inmersión se utilizan en el tratamiento térmico de muestras
y en el calentamiento de baños.
El equipo incorpora una bomba de circulación que puede utilizarse para mejo-
rar la homogeneidad dentro de un baño o para realizar un circuito cerrado de
circulación de líquido para refrigeración o calentamiento.
El equipo puede trabajar de forma continua o temporizada. Una vez transcurrido
el tiempo de funcionamiento se detiene.
El equipo dispone de registro de temperaturas en lápiz de memoria USB.
6. Instalación
Una vez desembalado el equipo, compruebe visualmente que está en buen
estado. Conserve el embalaje original durante unos días.
6.1 Cubeta
Necesita una cubeta o un recipiente para funcionar. Consulte el catálogo de
J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u. o el apartado 2 de este manual.
Situar el equipo y su cubeta, o el baño termostático, en una supercie plana,
nivelada, estable y adecuada al peso del equipo.
Para trabajar con comodidad, dejar libre un espacio de unos 20cm en cada
lado del equipo.
6.2 Conexión a la red eléctrica
Escoger una toma de corriente cercana al equipo y adecuada a la potencia
del equipo. Utilizar el cable de conexión suministrado u otro de similares ca-
racterísticas.
Para su seguridad, la toma de corriente debe tener conexión a tierra.
Antes de enchufar, vericar que la tensión y frecuencia de la red eléctrica
corresponde a la indicada en la etiqueta de características del equipo.
7. Funcionamiento
Todas las funciones del equipo se establecen mediante la pantalla táctil. Pre-
sionar suavemente con el dedo en el centro de cada icono.
Al poner en marcha el equipo se muestra la pantalla de inicio (ver Fig 7.1).
• Ajustes
- Hora y fecha: menú para establecer la fecha y la hora.
- Descarga de datos registrados.
- Corrección de temperatura.
- Límites de alarma de temperatura.
• Programación
- Permite programar la temperatura y el tiempo de funcionamiento.
• Trabajo
- Permite seleccionar y poner en marcha la temperatura de trabajo,
el tiempo de trabajo y el caudal de la bomba.

7.2 Pantalla de AJUSTES
7.2.1 Establecer Hora y Fecha
Pulsar sobre el icono Hora/Fecha. Pulsar sucesivamente sobre el cuadro para
seleccionar el ajuste de día, mes, año, hora, minuto y segundo.
Ajustar pulsando sobre los iconos aumentar y disminuir.
7.2.2 Establecer unidades, idioma y nivel de brillo de
la pantalla
De forma similar, pulsar sobre los iconos para cambiar el nivel de brillo de la
pantalla, el idioma y las unidades y el formato para la temperatura.
7.2.3 Parámetros protegidos con contraseña
Protegidos bajo la contraseña “0000” hay una serie de parámetros que afectan
el funcionamiento del equipo:
. Pulse “Introducir contraseña” y siga las instrucciones:
contraseña: 0000
. Pulse la tecla CAL para acceder a estos parámetros:
intervalo de registro: 1 a 60min
sensor externo: si/no
calibración: -100 a +100
límite inferior temp. -10
límite superior temp. -10
a) Intervalo de registro
Es la frecuencia de toma de datos para el registro.
b) Sensor externo
Seleccione el valor Si si desea trabajar con una sonda externa conectada
al conector de la parte posterior del equipo.
c) Calibración (OFFSET)
Sólo utilice este ajuste si observa una desviación entre la temperatura
indicada por el equipo y la indicada por un termómetro patrón.
Por ejemplo: el equipo indica 40.0ºC, el patrón indica 40.5ºC. Introduzca
un valor de -0.5ºC para corregir la desviación.
d) El límite inferior y el límite superior de temperatura
Son los límites máximos y mínimos de ajuste de la temperatura. Esto permite
ajustar el rango de la Temperatura de trabajo del equipo.
e) Para actualizar el rmware del equipo, pulse sobre “Info” y en la
parte inferior de la pantalla aparecerá el botón UPGRD.
Contacte con el servicio técnico para obtener el chero de actualización.
7.3 Pantalla de programación
Esta pantalla permite entrar hasta 10 programas de temperatura y tiempo.
Cada programa viene denido por:
Temperatura: Tª amb. + 5 ... 200ºC
Tiempo: HH:MM
Baja temperatura: Valor de alarma de bajada de temperatura.
Sobretemperatura: Valor de alarma de sobretemperatura.
Desde el menú principal, pulsar sobre «PROGRAMACIÓN».

7.4 Seleccionar un programa para ejecutarlo
desde la pantalla de Trabajo
Para seleccionar un programa almacenado, pulsar sobre SEL (Fig. 7.4)
(La indicación SEL, cambia de color para indicar que se ha seleccionado).
Una vez seleccionado, este programama aparece en la pantalla de TRABAJO.
7.5 Pantalla de Trabajo
Desde la pantalla de Trabajo, el programa seleccionado (PROG 04 en el ejemplo)
en la pantalla de programación (Ver Fig 7.5) se pone en marcha pulsando sobre

7.6 Bomba de circulación
La bomba de circulación de agua (u otro líquido) puede trabajar en dos con-
guraciones:
- Circulación INTERNA: El agua sale de la bomba por el tubo horizontal (Ver
g 7.6.1). Con esta conguración se consigue una buena homogeneización de
la temperatura en el líquido de la cubeta.
- Circulación EXTERNA: El agua sale de la bomba por el tubo vertical (Ver g
7.6.2). Esta conguración permite el envío de líquido a un circuito de circulación
exterior para atemperar, refrigerar, etc... un equipo externo.
Esta es la conguración de fábrica.

7.7 Sonda externa
El proceso se puede controlar mediante una sonda externa.
Conecte la sonda en el conector posterior y colóquela en el medio que desee
controlar la temperatura. Para ajustarla, siga los pasos en el apartado 7.2.3.
7.8 Comunicaciones
7.8.1 USB
Acceda a la pantalla de AJUSTES>DESCARGAR REGISTROS para descargar los
registros de los procesos realizados. A continuación siga las instrucciones que
vayan apareciendo en pantalla.

4.4 Maintenance
Unplug the equipment from the mains before you handle inside it.
The manipulation of the equipment internal electronic circuits by
unauthorized personnel can cause irreparable damage.
Take it to one of J.P.SELECTA’s authorized technical services.
It is recommended to clean the accessible parts of the equipment with a cloth
and a cleaner, or a similar solution. Do not use aggressive solvents.
4.5 Warranty
This product is guaranteed for one year. It does not cover damages caused by
an incorrect use or causes beyond the control of J. P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Any manipulation of the equipment by personnel not authorized by J.P. SELECTA,
s.a.u. automatically cancels the guarantee.

5. Equipment Description
Immersion thermostats are widely used on laboratories for thermal treatement
of samples, or heating/cooling other equipments.
The equipment includes a circulation pump that can be used to improve the
homogeneity within a bath or to perform a closed liquid circulation circuit for
cooling or heating.
The unit could work in a continuous or timed operation.
6. Installation
Unpack the equipment and visually check that the contents are in good con-
ditions. Keep the package for some days.
6.1 Bucket/Tank
A bucket or tank will be needed to operate the thermostat. See J.P. SELECTA,
s.a.u. product range or paragraph 2 of this manual.
Place the equipment on a at level stable surface, suitable for the equipment
weight.
To work in a comfortable way, please leave a free space of 50cm around the
equipment and a minimum of 20cm at the rear part.
6.2 Connection to the mains
Plug the equipment to a near socket suitable for the equipment power. Use the
connection cable supplied or a similar one.
For your safety, the equipment must be earthed.
Before plugging the machine, check that the voltage supply and the frequency
corresponds to the one indicated in the equipment characteristics plate.
7. Operation
All the equipment functions are set with the touch screen. Gently press with
your nger in the center of each icon.
When starting the computer, the starting screen will be shown (Fig 7.1).
• SETTINGS:
- Time and date: menu to set the date and time.
- Temperature correction.
- Temperature alarm limits.
• PROGRAMMING
- Allows you to program the working temperature & time.
• TASK
- Allows you to select and launch the operating temperature, the
working time and the pump ow.

7.2 Setting screen
7.2.1 Set time and date
Press on Date/time button. Press successively on the box to select the day,
month, year, hour, minute and second settings.
Use Up and Down icons to entry a value.
7.2.2 Set temperature, language and screen contrast
In a similar way, set the temperature, language and screen contrast by pres-
sing the icons.
7.2.3 Working parameters protected under password
There are several parameters under password “0000” which affect the equi-
pment operation.
. Press “Insert password” and follow the instructions:
password: 0000
. Press CAL to access these parameters:
log interval: 1 to 60min
external sensor: yes/no
calibration: -100 to +100
lower temp. limit: -10
upper temp. limit: -10
a) Log interval
It is the frequency of data collection for the logging.
b) External sensor
Select the value YES if you want to work with an external probe connected
to the connector on the back side of the equipment
c) Calibration (OFFSET)
Use only this setting if you notice a deviation between the temperature
indicated by the equipment and the one indicated by a standard thermometer.
For example: the equipment indicates 40.0ºC, the pattern indicates 40.5ºC.
Enter a value of -0.5ºC to correct the deviation.
d) The lower and the upper limit of temperature
These are the maximum and the minimum limits of temperature ad-
justments. This allows you to adjust the working temperature range of the
equipment.
e) To update the rmware of the device, click on “Info” and the UPGRD
button will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Contact the technical service to obtain the updated le.
7.3 Programming screen
Up to 10 programms of temperature and time can be stored.
Each program has the following parameters:
Temperature: from ambient +5ºC ... 200ºC
Time: HH:MM
Undertemp: Alarm value for temperature drop.
Overtemp: Alarm value for overtemperature.
From main menu, press over «PROGRAMMING».

7.4 Selecting a program for operation
To select a stored program press over SEL (Fig 7.4).
(SEL indication changes its color to yellow).
Once selected, this program in placed on the TASK screen.
7.5 Operation screen
On the operation screen «TASK», the program selected (PROG 04) on the
programming screen is shown (Fig 7.5) and it starts when pressing over .

7.6 Circulation pump
The liquid circulation pump could operate in two conguration modes:
- INTERNAL circulation:
Water (or other) will be pumped from horizontal pump output (See g 7.6.1).
Use this conguration to made water circulation into the bath vessel in order
to homogenize the temperature from sample load.
- EXTERNAL circulation:
Water (or other) will be pumped from vertical pump output (See g 7.6.2).
Use this conguration to made water circulation out of the bath vessel in order
to temperate an external equipment. This is the factory setting.

7.7 External probe
The process can be controlled by means of an external probe.
Connect the probe to the rear connector and place it in the media you want to
control the temperature. To adjust it, follow the steps in section 7.2.3.
7.8 Communications
7.8.1 USB
Access the SETTINGS > LOGS DOWNLOAD screen to download the logs of the
processes carried out. Then follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
