1.Informacióngeneral
• Manipular cuidadosamente.

Este producto tiene una garantía de un año. La garantía no cubre los daños causados por
un uso indebido o causas ajenas a J. P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Cualquier manipulación del equipo por personal no autorizado anula los benecios de la
garantía.

5.Descripcióndelequipo
Los termostatos de inmersión se utilizan en el tratamiento térmico de muestras y el calen-
tamiento de baños.
El equipo incorpora una bomba de circulación que puede utilizarse para mejorar la homo-
geneidad dentro de un baño o para realizar un circuito cerrado de circulación de líquido
para calentamiento.
El equipo puede trabajar de forma continua o temporizada. Una vez transcurrido el tiempo
de funcionamiento se detiene (sólo los modelos DIGITERM).
6.Instalación
Una vez desembalado el equipo, compruebe visualmente que está en buen estado. Conserve
el embalaje original durante unos días.
6.1Cubeta
Este equipo necesita una cubeta o recipiente para funcionar. Consulte el catálogo de J.P.
SELECTA, s.a.u. o el apartado 2 de este manual.
Fijar el termostato en la cubeta mediante el tornillo de jación.
Situar el equipo y su cubeta en una supercie plana, nivelada, estable y adecuada al peso
del equipo.
Seleccione un uido adecuado a las temperaturas de trabajo, agua, aceite de silicona,
anticongelante, etc.
Para trabajar con comodidad, dejar libre un espacio de unos 20cm a cada lado del equipo.
6.2Conexiónalaredeléctrica
Escoger una toma de corriente cercana al equipo y adecuada a la potencia del equipo.
Utilizar el cable de conexión suministrado.
Para su seguridad, la toma de corriente debe tener conexión a tierra.
Antes de enchufar, vericar que la tensión y la frecuencia de la red eléctrica corresponde a
la indicada en la etiqueta de características del equipo.
7.Funcionamiento
Todas las funciones del equipo se establecen mediante las teclas del panel de mandos.
Presionar suavemente con el dedo en el centro de cada tecla.
Utilizar el tornillo de jación (Fig 7.1) de la parte de trasera para jar el equipo.

7.2Puestaenmarcha
1. Accionar el interruptor de puesta en marcha y al mismo tiempo se iluminará la
pantalla.
2. Pulsar las teclas (3/2) hasta seleccionar el valor deseado de temperatura en el
visualizador verde (el de arriba).
3. Pulsar la tecla (4) si desea seleccionar un tiempo de funcionamiento (sólo los
modelos DIGITERM).
4. Pulsar la tecla (1) para iniciar el ciclo.
5. El símbolo de calefacción se iluminará y parpadeará.
6. Pulsar de nuevo la tecla (1) para detener el proceso de incubación. Nota: durante
el funcionamiento se puede variar el valor de ajuste de temperatura o de tiempo.
OBSERVACIONES:
* Al utilizar la función de tiempo, el visualizador verde (el de arriba) indicará el
tiempo restante. Si desea ver el valor objetivo de temperatura, pulse la tecla
(4) (sólo los modelos DIGITERM).
7.3Termostatodeseguridad
El equipo dispone de un elemento de seguridad para evitar sobrecalentamiento.
En caso que el termostato se dispare, pulse el botón trasero para rearmar el dis-
positivo.

7.4Trabajospordebajodelatemperaturaambiente(sólo
losmodelosDIGITERM)
El equipo permite trabajar a una temperatura por debajo de la temperatura ambiente (hasta
un mínimo de +25ºC).
Necesita la circulación de líquido refrigerante a través del «serpentín de refrigeración»
(Ver gura 7.3).
Por ejemplo, para tener el baño a 25ºC, hacer circular agua de grifo a través del serpentín
para establecer una temperatura de trabajo de 25ºC.
Si la temperatura del agua de grifo es de unos 18ºC, el equipo podrá mantener el baño a
unos 25ºC.
7.5Sondaexterna(sólolosmodelosDIGITERM)
Conecte una sonda tipo Pt100 para controlar el proceso desde una sonda externa. El equipo
detecta automáticamente el cambio de sonda.
NOTA: la sonda externa debe estar ubicada en un punto donde el elemento calefactor tenga
efecto, sino el equipo calentará sin control.
7.6Cambiodesujecióndelbulbo
Si va a trabajar a temperaturas altas (entre 120 °C y 150 °C) con aceites u otros líquidos con
mayor densidad que el agua, se recomienda cambiar la posición del bulbo del termostato
de seguridad para evitar que el termostato salte de forma innecesaria.
Utilice la brida de sujeción adjunta para modicar la posición del bulbo, tal y como se indica
en la imagen 7.6b.
a) Retire el bulbo de los clips de sujeción.
b) Atorníllelo a la resistencia mediante la brida adjunta.

Bombadecirculación
La bomba de circulación de agua (u otro líquido) puede trabajar en dos conguraciones:
- Circulación INTERNA: El agua sale de la bomba por el tubo horizontal (Ver g 7.4). Con
esta conguración se consigue una buena homogeneización de la temperatura en el líquido
de la cubeta.
- Circulación EXTERNA: El agua sale de la bomba por el tubo vertical (Ver g 7.5). Esta
conguración permite el envío de líquido a un circuito de circulación exterior para atemperar,
refrigerar, etc... un equipo externo.

8. MensajesdeError
P.FAIL Fallo de alimentación. La estufa sigue con el proceso.
Aparecerá Err en color verde en la línea superior del visualizador.
TSEG/SAFE El termostato de seguridad está abierto (en el modelo DIGTERM,
la boya detecta falta de agua)
SENS Sonda de temperatura abierta. El control no detecta la
sonda de temperatura.
HEAT La resistencia no funciona. El equipo detecta que la tempe
ratura no se incrementa.
9.Mantenimiento
Antes de quitar la tapa de la estufa para manipular en su interior desconecte
la toma de red.
La manipulación de los circuitos electrónicos internos de la estufa por personal
no autorizado puede provocar daños de difícil reparación. Asegúrese de llevar
el equipo a uno de los servicios técnicos autorizados por J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
LIMPIEZA:
Para la limpieza de las diferentes piezas de los equipos, recomendamos los siguientes
productos:
Limpieza del acero inoxidable: Alcohol.
Limpieza de carátulas y plásticos: Alcohol con un paño de algodón.

4.1Staffqualication
This equipment may only be used by properly trained personnel who have read and
unsderstood these instructions or have been properly trained in this equipment operation.
4.2Usewithhazardoussubstances
Do not treat ammable or explosive materials or those which chemically react with
violence.
4.3.Maintenance
Unplug the equipment from the mains before removing the oven’s cover to handle inside.
The manipulation of the equipment internal electronic circuits by unauthori-
zed personnel can cause irreparable damage. Take it to one of J.P.SELECTA’s
authorized technical services.
4.4.Warranty
This product is guaranteed for one year. It does not cover damages caused by an incorrect
use or causes beyond the control of J. P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Any manipulation of the equipment by personnel not authorized by J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
automatically cancels the guarantee.

5.EquipmentDescription
Immersion thermostats are widely used on laboratories for thermal treatment of samples
and bath’s heating.
The equipment includes a circulation pump that can be used to improve the homogeneity
within a bath or to perform a closed liquid circulation circuit for heating.
The unit could work in a continuous or timed operation. Once the operating time has
elapsed, the unit stops (only DIGITERM models)
6.Installation
Unpack the equipment and visually check that the contents are in good conditions. Keep
the package for some days.
6.1Liquidtank
A bucket or tank will be needed to operate the thermostat. See J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
products range or paragraph 2 of this manual.
Fix the thermostat in the tank with the xing clamp.
Place the equipment on a at level stable surface, suitable for the equipment weight.
Select a suitable uid for working temperatures, water, silicone oil, antifreeze, etc.
To work in a comfortable way, please leave a free space of 20cm around the equipment.
6.2Connectiontothemains
Plug the equipment to a near socket suitable for the equipment power. Use the connec-
tion cable supplied.
For your safety, the equipment must be earthed.
Before plugging the machine, check that the voltage supply and the frequency match
the one indicated in the equipment plate.
7.Operation
All the equipment functions are set with the touch screen keys. Gently press with your
nger in the center of each key.
Use the xing clamp (see Fig 7.1) in the rear part of the equipment.

7.2Startingup
1. Press the start switch and at the same time the screen will light up.
2. Press the Up/Down keys (3/2) until the desired temperature value is selected
in the green display (the above one).
3. Press key (4) if you want to select an operating time (only DIGITERM models).
4. Press key (1) to start the cycle.
5. The heating symbol will light up and ash.
6. Press key (1) again to stop the incubation process.
Note: during operation, temperature or time adjustment value can be changed.
REMARKS:
* When using the time function, the green display (the above one) will indicate
the remaining time. If you want to see the target temperature value, press key
(4) (only DIGITERM models ).
7.3Safetythermostat
The equipment has a safety element to prevent overheating.
In case the thermostat triggers, press the rear button to reset the device.

The unit allows to operate at temperatures under ambient (to a minimum of +25°C)
Coolant liquid circulation is needed, through the coolant coil (See gure 7.3).
For instance, to get the bath at 25ºC, made circulate tap water through the coolant coil,
so you can get an operation temperature on 25ºC.
If tap water is under 18ºC the unit could be set the water tank to 25ºC.
7.5Externalprobe(onlyDIGITERMmodels)
Connect a Pt100 type probe to control the process from an external probe. The equipment
automatically detects the probe change.
NOTE: the external probe must be located at a point where the heating element takes
effect, otherwise the equipment will heat without control.
7.6Bulbclampchange
If you are going to work at high temperatures (between 120°C and 150°C) with oils or
other liquids with a higher density than water, it is recommended to change the position
of the safety thermostat bulb to prevent the thermostat from jumping unnecessarily.
Use the attached clamping ange to modify the position of the bulb, as indicated in
gure 7.6b.
a) Remove the bulb from the retaining clips.
b) Screw it to the resistance using the attached ange.

8. Errormessages
P.FAIL Power failure. The oven continues with the process.
Err will appear in green on the top line of the display.
TSEG/SAFE The safety thermostat is open.
(in the DIGTERM models, the buoy detects lack of water)
SENS Open temperature probe.
The control does not detect the temperature probe.
HEAT The resistance does not work.
The equipment detects that the temperature does not increase.
9.Maintenance
Before removing the oven lid to handle inside, disconnect it from the mains
socket.
The oven internal electronic circuits manipulation by unauthorized personnel
can cause damages that are difcult to repair. Be sure to take the equipment
to one of the technical services authorized by J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
CLEANING:
We recommend the following products for cleaning the different pieces of the equipment:
Stainless steel cleaning: Alcohol.
Covers and plastics cleaning: Alcohol with a cotton cloth.
Circulationpump
The water circulation pump (or other liquid) could operate in two conguration modes:
- INTERNAL circulation: Water will be pumped from horizontal pump output (See g 7.4).
Use this conguration to achieve a good temperature homogenization in the liquid in the
vessel.
- EXTERNAL circulation: Water will be pumped from vertical pump output (See g 7.5).
Use this conguration to send the liquid to an external circulation circuit for tempering,
cooling, etc ... an external equipment.
