3. FMSTbuttonworks onlywhenOutputis inStereo mode.Pressingthebutton tooff, LEDoff, allows
DT-100D totuneinweaker FMstations.NOTE:If FMSTLED isoff theoutputof tuner ismono.
4. AUTOSCANbutton,if pressed,DT-100D willscanand saveinthe Memory Pre-Setsall tunable

highestfrequencyforeachband.
5. Toprogram aselectedstation,simply pressandhold thedesiredPre-Set number for3seconds

The DT-100D may be operated from a 12VDC power source. Screw terminals
areprovidedfor thispurpose. WhenconnectingtheDC source, ensurethatthe
polarityis correctand that theDC supply isprotected witha1A fuse.(Note :
Thepower On-Offswitch isbypassed whenoperating theDT-100D from a
12VDC source. For power backup, connect a 12VDC source to the 12VDC
PowerConnection.TheDT-100Dwill continueoperationalstatusifACpower
islost.)
Themono signaloutput oftheDT-100Dtuner isaccessedfromeither ofthetwo RCAjackslocated onthe
rearpanel.The enclosedRCApatchcordshould beconnectedbetweeneither of theRCAoutputjacks
thento anAux/Line input ontheamplifier. Two RCAoutput jacks areavailabletofeed sametuner signalto
twosystems. If Stereo output operationisdesired, simply select Stereomodevia switch.Theoutput level
maybeadjustedbythe volume controllocated near theline output jacks. If your installationonly has
microphonelevelinputsavailable, call J.W. Davis CustomerServicefordifferenttypesof attenuaters to
modifymiclevelinputs.
MUSIC-ON-HOLD
Aseparate1-watt@8Ω/1-volt@600Ωamplifierallowsthe music-on-hold featureto becontrolled indepen-
dentlyofthe primaryRCAoutput. Tofacilitatestation tuningandsettingthedesired volumelevel formu-
sic-on-hold,it issuggestedthata speakerbe connectedtothe special 8ohmoutput. Thisisalso useful
for monitoring purposes. Care should be taken to avoid signal distortion due to overdriving the
telephone’s music-on-hold input.
TUNER OPERATION
Duetothe steelconstruction ofthetuner, tunedantennasarenotfitted withinthe cabinet. AnAMloop
antennaand FM75Ω antennaisenclosed to providethedesired reception. YourDT-100D tunerhas
beentested to performwellinpoor receptionareas. However, should youexperience difficulties, the
tuner’santenna maybecompromisedby ametal buildingorasimilar obstruction.In suchcases,we
suggestconnectingan external mountedFM antennausing RG-59coax (purchasedseperately) toassist
theDT-100D’ssignalreception ability.
