JBE ANATOMY

If the LED Ring is…
Flashing White: Jawbone is trying to connect to your phone or Bluetooth® device.
Flashing Red: Battery is low. Power up!
Flashing Red + White: Jawbone is in pairing mode and ready to connect to your
phone or Bluetooth® device. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings to connect.
POWER UP
Your Jawbone JBE is partially charged and ready to use right out of the box.

For a Full Charge: Plug it into your wall charger or a USB port on your computer.
To Hear Remaining Battery Life: Press the TALK BUTTON when not on a call.
When Battery Is Low: The LED RING flashes RED.
When Fully Charge: The LED RING turns WHITE.
Note: A full charge takes 3 hours and results in up to 5 hours of listening time.
1. GET CONNECTED

1.1 Plug & Play

Play audio from any device through USB or 3.5mm stereo mini-jack. The volume
is loudest when plugged in via USB.
1.2 Connect Wirelessly

laptop)
Your Jawbone can wirelessly stream audio from any A2DP-enabled Bluetooth
device within 150 feet. Just follow these steps:
1.2a Prepare Your Jawbone

1. Hold the ON/OFF SWITCH in the upmost position
2. Wait for the LED RING to flash red & white
3. You will hear “Jawbone is ready, waiting to connect”
4. Release the ON/OFF SWITCH to the middle/on position
12.b Prepare Your Phone or Device
Turn on Bluetooth®.
On a iPhone, iPod or iPad: Go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > and enable
BLUETOOTH
On a Blackberry®: Go to SETTINGS/OPTIONS > BLUETOOTH and enable
BLUETOOTH
Other Cell Phones: Go to Jawbone.com/Pairing or review the instruction manual
that came with your phone.
1.2c Make the Connection
Go to your phone or device’s Bluetooth® settings.
Add or search for devices: When “Jawbone JBE” appears, select it.
If asked for a passcode: Enter “0000”
This is a one-time event per device. To pair your Jawbone JBE to another device,
repeat steps 1.2a to 1.2c.
2 GET LISTENING (worthy of it’s own section? I’m slim on content here)
2.1 Adjust the volume
Same copy as ICON, but flip to this “…while listening to music or on a call,…”
3 GET TALKING
Same as ICON instructions, but delete 3.4 and 3.5
4 GET APPS & MORE

Same as ICON instructions, but replace all mentions of “ICON” with “JBE” AND
delete “INNOVATIONS” section; also change “UPDATES” title to “UPDATE”
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Hearing distortion?
a. Lower your volume
b. Low battery Æconnect to power via USB
2. Not loud enough?
a. Turn up volume on your audio player
b. Make sure it’s charged up
c. Plug it in to your audio player
3. Unable to pair with Bluetooth device?
a. Confirm device is stereo Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP compatible
b. Following GET CONNECTIONS instructions in this guide
c. Visit www.jawbone.com/support
4. Experiencing signal loss or dropouts via Bluetooth?
a. Move closer to audio player
b. Make sure it’s charged up
c. Confirm device is stereo Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP compatible
