1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the m-JAYS music adapter. We strongly recommend that you read this
manual carefully before use. You can order accessories and get information about service and
support at our website: www.jays.se.
m-JAYS is a unique stereo music adapter / hands-free headset solution available to several
cellular brands on the market. The strong metal clip keeps the finely tuned noise cancelling
microphone in place. The large answering button makes it easy to pick up calls and the 3.5 mm
female plug enables you to use any standard 3.5 mm stereo earphones.
A set of j-JAYS mono version earphones are furthermore included in the package. For a perfect
match please check www.jays.se.
2. PRECAUTIONS
» Do not use the product in other ways than are described in this manual.
» Handle with care at all times and protect from external damage.
» Do not expose to heat, magnetism or cold, damp environments.
» To clean: use a mild, antiseptic detergent.
» Do not expose the cords and plugs to abnormal wear and tear, e.g. by bending or pulling
them.
» Avoid winding the cord too tight.
» Avoid dropping or strong impact.
3. PROPER USE
Before you connect m-JAYS to your mobile phone, turn the volume to minimum.Adjust the volume
accordingly.
Connecting to the mobile phone
Connect m-JAYS to your mobile phone with the JAYS-sign upwards. Press the music adapter
mobile connector into the mobile phone input until you hear a ‘click‘.
Incoming calls
Short press the button to accept an incoming phone call. Short press the button again to hang
up.
Make a voice dial
Short press the answering button and you will hear a signal. Then speak the voice tag and your
phone will auto dial the number. (The voice tag must be saved in your phone before using this
function)
Disconnect from the mobile phone
Make sure you have a steady grip of the m-JAYS connector and pull. Do NOT pull the cord!

5. SERVICE AND SUPPORT
If you need help with your product, please contact your retailer or JAYS. Our contact details are
printed on the back of this manual. If the product needs to be replaced your retailer will arrange
it unless you have been informed otherwise.Your product has a 2-year warranty unless otherwise
specified. It covers production faults. Read more about our warranty terms in item 6.
6. WARRANTY
JAYS extends a 2-year warranty. This limited warranty applies to buyers of JAYS AB’s products. If
any other party that resells the product after it has left JAYS AB issues a different warranty from
this one, the most recently issued warranty shall apply. JAYS AB guarantees that the product is
free from faults in the materials, design and manufacture when it was transferred to the buyer.
The warranty is only valid if the following requirements are satisfied:
1) This warranty only applies to buyers who are end-customers, and who can show a receipt
or certificate of warranty containing details about the place of purchase, date and serial
number. This warranty does not infringe upon the provisions of binding legislation or the
buyer’s rights in relation to the seller of the product.
2) This limited warranty can, with respect to the main product, apply 24 months from when the
customer receives the product. If the buyer sells the product to another party, the purchaser
can claim warranty cover for the same period as the original buyer on the condition that the
terms of item 1 are fulfilled.
3) If there are faults in the design, materials or manufacture, JAYS AB will undertake to redress
the fault through repairs or a replacement. JAYS AB hereby undertakes to provide the buyer
with a product that is in full working order during the warranty period. Ownership rights to
components that are replaced during repairs belong to JAYS.
4) This warranty does not cover product deterioration caused by normal wear and tear.

Furthermore, the warranty does not apply if:
a) the fault is caused by the product being exposed to damp, moisture, extreme
temperatures or temperature changes, chemical products, abnormal impact damage or
force majeure that is not directly caused by faults in the materials, design or manufacture.
b) the customer fails to notify JAYS AB within 30 days of the fault being discovered (within
the warranty period).
c) it is not possible to identify the product by checking the serial number that should be
identical to the product the warranty is supposed to cover.
d) the product has been used in an incorrect manner or has been connected to an
accessory which JAYS AB has advised the customer not to use with the product.
7. CERTIFICATIONS
The aim of EU’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives 2002/96/EC and
the ROHS directive is to reduce waste from electric and electronic products and to recycle as
much of the materials as possible. Any remaining waste should be virtually risk-free to handle
and the risk of hazardous emissions should be minimal.

FAQ
There is no sound. What can I do? Check if the connector is properly attached to the mobile
phone. Check if the earphones are properly attached to
the 3.5 mm stereo jack.
Why can’t the person I’m speaking
with hear me properly?
Place the microphone closer.
Why is there a disturbing noise
while I’m speaking on the phone
1. The microphone clip isn’t attached to your clothes
properly and therefore scratches against your clothes.
2. You are in a windy or noisy environment. Shield the
microphone from the wind / noise.
3. The connector isn’t properly attached to the mobile
phone.
How long is the warranty on my
music adapter?
m-JAYS comes with a 2-year warranty unless otherwise
arranged at the time of purchase.

Tack för du har valt m-JAYS musikadapter. Det är viktigt att du läser igenom manualen noga innan

m-JAYS är en unik musikadapter / hands-free som passar till flera mobiltelefonmärken. Det
starka metall-clippet håller den finkalibrerade mikrofonen på plats och den stora svarsknappen
gör det lätt att svara på inkommande samtal.3,5 mm stereouttaget gör att du kan använda valfria
favorithörlurar. Levereras med j-JAYS mono – en högkvalitativ hörlur med bara en hörsnäcka. För

2. FÖRSIKTIGHETSÅTGÄRDER
» Använd inte produkten på annat sätt än vad som beskrivs i denna manual.
» Hantera alltid din produkt varsamt och skydda den mot yttre åverkan.
» Utsätt inte produkten för hetta, magnetism, kyla eller fuktiga miljöer.
» Använd endast milt antiseptisk medel vid rengöring av produkten.
» Utsätt inte kablar och kontakter för onödigt slitage genom att medvetet böja och dra i dem.
» Undvik att linda kabeln för hårt.
» Unvik att tappa produkten.
3. ANVÄNDNING
Innan du ansluter m-JAYS till din mobiletelefon, se till att volymen är inställd på minimum. Sedan
kan du anpassa volymen efter behag.
Inkoppling
Anslut m-JAYS till din mobiltelefon med JAYS-symbolen uppåt. Tryck in mobiltelefonkontakten på
din m-JAYS i din mobiltelefons handsfreeuttag tills du hör ett ‘klick’.
Inkommande samtal
Tryck en gång på svarsknappen för att ta emot ett samtal. Tryck en gång till för att avsluta
samtalet.
Ring ett samtal med röstigenkänning
Tryck en gång på svarsknappen och du hör en signal. Tala sedan in röstkommandot och din
mobiltelefon ringer upp det numret du har begärt. (Röstkommando måste vara aktiverad innan
du kan använda den här funktionen).
Urkoppling
Se till att du håller ett stadigt grepp om m-JAYS kontakten och dra. OBS! Dra inte i kabeln.

5. SERVICE OCH SUPPORT

ombesörjer din återförsäljare detta, om inget annat instruerats. Din produkt har 2 års garanti,
om inget annat angetts, och täcker fel som uppstår på grund av produktionsfel. Mer om våra
garantivillkor finner du under punkt 6.
6. GARANTI
JAYS levererar 2 års garanti. Denna begränsade garanti gäller för köpare av JAYS AB:s produkter.
Om någon, som sålt produkten vidare efter det att produkten lämnat JAYS AB:s ägo, utfärdat
någon annan garanti än denna garanti skall den senast utfärdade garantin gälla. JAYS AB
garanterar att produkten, vid tidpunkten för avlämningen av produkten till köparen, är fri från fel i
material, design och tillverkning. Garantin gäller enbart om nedan angivna villkor är uppfyllda:
1) Denna garanti kan endast göras gällande av köpare som är slutkund, och som kan uppvisa
kvitto eller garantibevis innehållande uppgifter om inköpsställe, datum och serienummer.
Denna garanti begränsar inte vad som stadgas i tvingande lagstiftning eller den rätt som
köparen har gentemot den som sålt produkten.
2) Denna begränsade garanti kan, vad gäller den huvudsakliga produkten, göras gällande inom
24 månader från och med avlämningen av produkten till kunden. Om köparen överlåter
produkten till annan kan förvärvaren göra garantianspråk gällande under samma tidsperiod
som den ursprunglige köparen under förutsättning att villkoren i punkt 1 är uppfyllda.
3) Om fel i design, material eller tillverkning skulle uppstå åtar sig JAYS AB att efter eget val
avhjälpa felet som uppstått genom reparation eller omleverans. Härmed åtar sig JAYS AB
att förse köparen med en fungerande produkt under garantitidens gång. Utbytta delar vid
reparation tillkommer JAYS med äganderätt.
4) Denna garanti gäller inte försämring av produkten som får anses bero på normalt slitage.
Garantin gäller inte heller om;

a) felet beror på att produkten utsatts för fukt, vätska, extrema temperaturer eller
temperaturväxlingar, kemiska produkter, onormalt yttre våld eller force majeure som inte
direkt orsakats av materialfel, designfel eller tillverkningsfel
b) kunden inte underrättat JAYS AB inom 30 dagar efter det att felet upptäckts och inom
garantiperioden.
c) produkten ej går att identifiera genom kontroll av serienummer såsom identisk med den
produkt som garantin görs gällande för.
d) produkten har använts på ett sätt som strider mot vad produkten är avsedd att
användas för eller har anslutits till ett tillbehör som JAYS AB avrått från att använda
produkten tillsammans med.
9. CERTIFIERINGAR
Målet med EU:s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) direktiv 2002/96/EC
tillsammans med RoHS-direktivet är att minska avfallet från elektriska och elektroniska produkter
och att återvinna så mycket material som möjligt. Överblivet avfall skall vara så riskfritt som
möjligt att hantera och risken för farliga utsläpp skall vara minimerad.

1. Metallklippet är inte ordentligt fastsatt i skrapar mot
kläderna.
2. Du befinner dig i en blåsig eller bullrig omgivning.
Skydda mikrofonen från vinden/bullret.
3. Mobilkontaken är inte ordentligt ansluten till
mobiltelefonen.
Hur lång garanti har jag på

Med m-JAYS medföljer en två års garanti om inte annat
har instruerats vid inköpstidpunkten.

M-JAYS est un adaptateur de musique stéréo équipé d’un nouveau microphone finement
accordé pour une clarté de parole supérieure et d’une touche de réponse. Les m-JAYS sont
livrés avec un écouteur j-Jays mono (pour obtenir davantage d’informations sur le j-JAYS stéréo,
merci de consulter notre site web : www.jays.se). Pour profiter de sensations musicales stéréo,
l’écouteur fourni peut être remplacé par un écouteur stéréo standard muni d’une fiche 3,5 mm
vendu sur le marché. Pour arriver à trouver la combinaison parfaite, merci de vérifier sur notre

2. CONSIGNES D’UTILISATION
» N’utilisez pas le produit à d’autres fins que celle décrites dans ce manuel.
» A manipuler à chaque fois avec précaution et protéger des dégâts extérieurs.
» N’exposez pas à la chaleur, au froid, près d’une source magnétique, ni dans des endroits
humides.
» Pour nettoyer : utilisez un produit nettoyant doux et antiseptique
» N’usez pas anormalement les cordons, ni les fiches en les tordant ou les étirant par
exemple.
» Evitez d’enrouler le cordon de manière trop serrée.
» Evitez les impacts importants et les chutes.
3. POUR UTILISER CORRECTEMENT
Avant de connecter le m-JAYS à votre téléphone portable, baisser le volume au maximum. Puis
ajuster le volume en fonction.
Pour connecter à votre téléphone portable
Connectez le m-JAYS à votre téléphone portable en plaçant le signe JAYS vers le haut. Cliquez le
connecteur portable de l’adaptateur musical aux têtes de votre téléphone portable et attendez
le ‘clic’.
Les appels entrant
Appuyez rapidement sur la touche pour accepter un appel téléphonique entrant. Appuyez de
nouveau rapidement sur cette même touche pour y mettre fin.
Pour composer un numéro vocalement
Appuyez rapidement sur la touche de réponse et vous entendrez un signal. Puis, prononcez le
numéro à haute voie et votre téléphone le composera automatiquement. (La reconnaissance
vocale doit être enregistrée sur votre téléphone avant de l’utiliser).
Pour déconnecter du téléphone portable
Assurez-vous de bien tenir le connecteur m-JAYS et tirez. NE TIREZ pas sur le cordon !

5. SERVICE ET SUPPORT

nécessaire de changer votre produit, votre revendeur s’en chargera, sauf instructions contraires.
Votre produit est garanti 2 ans, en l’absence d’autres dispositions, et couvre les défauts
imputables à la fabrication. Le point 6 précise les conditions de garantie.
6. GARANTIE
JAYS fournit une garantie de 2 ans. Cette garantie limitée est valable pour les acheteurs des
produits JAYS AB. Si un individu, qui a revendu le produit après que ce dernier ait cessé d’être
en possession de JAYS AB, a délivré une autre garantie que la présente garantie, c’est la dernière
garantie émise qui s’applique. JAYS AB garantit que le produit, au moment de sa livraison à
l’acheteur, est exempt de défaut de matériau, de design et de fabrication. La garantie n’est
valable que si les conditions suivantes sont respectées:
1) La présente garantie ne peut être invoquée que par l’acheteur qui est le client final,et qui est en mesure
de présenter un reçu ou un certificat de garantie indiquant les coordonnées du lieu d’achat,la date et
le numéro de série.La présente garantie ne se limite pas à ce que prescrit formellement la législation ni
au droit que l’acheteur a sur le produit vendu.
2) La présente garantie limitée peut être invoquée, en ce qui concerne le produit principal,
dans les 24 mois suivant la livraison du produit au client. Si l’acheteur cède le produit à
un tiers, l’acquéreur peut faire jouer la garantie pendant la même période que l’acheteur
d’origine à condition que les conditions du point 1 soient remplies.

3) Si un défaut de design, de matériau ou de fabrication se présentait, JAYS AB se charge,
selon son choix, de remédier au défaut par la réparation ou le remplacement. JAYS AB
s’engage par là à fournir à l’acheteur un produit qui fonctionne pendant la durée de la
période de garantie. Le remplacement de pièce en cas de réparation relève du droit de
propriété de JAYS.
4) La présente garantie ne s’applique pas à la détérioration du produit qui serait imputable à
une usure normale. La garantie ne s’applique pas non plus si:
a) le défaut est imputable au fait que le produit a été exposé à l’humidité,à un liquide,à des
températures ou des changements de températures extrêmes,des produits chimiques,une violence
physique anormale ou un cas de force majeure qui n’est pas directement causé par un défaut de
matériau,de design ou de fabrication
b) le client n’a pas avisé JAYS AB dans les 30 jours suivant la survenue du défaut et
pendant la période de garantie.
c) le produit ne peut pas être identifié par le contrôle du numéro de série comme identique au
produit pour lequel la garantie est invoquée.
d) le produit est utilisé d’une manière contraire à l’utilisation à laquelle le produit
est destiné ou s’il est raccordé à un accessoire dont l’utilisation avec le produit a été
déconseillée par JAYS AB.
7. CERTIFICATIONS
L’objectif de la directive 2002/96/CE relative aux déchets d’équipements électriques et
électroniques (WEEE) ainsi que celui de la directive RoHS est de réduire les déchets issus
des produits électriques et électroniques et de recycler autant de matériaux que possible. Les
déchets restants doivent comporter le moins de risque possible à la manipulation, de même que
le risque d’émissions dangereuses doit être réduit au minimum.

Vérifiez que le connecteur est correctement relié au
téléphone portable. Vérifiez que les écouteurs sont
correctement reliés à la fiche jack stéréo 3,5 mm.

je discute ne m’entend pas bien ?
Rapprochez le microphone de vous.

attaché à vos habits et provoque des bruits de «
scratch » contre vos vêtements.

Eloignez le microphone du vent / du bruit.

Combien de temps dure la garantie

L’m-JAYS è uno stereo music adapter con un nuovo microfono ben bilanciato per un miglior
ascolto delle conversazioni ed un tasto risposta. Gli m-JAYS vengono forniti con auricolare j-
JAYS mono (per maggiori informazioni sui j-JAYS stereo: www.jays.se). L’auricolare in dotazione
può essere sostituito con qualsiasi auricolare stereo con connettore da 3,5 mm disponibile sul
mercato, per godere appieno della musica in modalità stereo. Consultare il sito www.jays.se per
un abbinamento perfetto.
2. PRECAUZIONI
» Non utilizzare il prodotto per scopi differenti da quelli previsti nel presente manuale.
» Maneggiare sempre con cura e proteggere da danni esterni.
» Non esporre a fonti di calore, magnetiche o ad ambienti freddi ed umidi.
» Per la pulizia: utilizzare un detergente antisettico leggero.
» Non esporre i cavi e i connettori ad usura eccessiva e logoramento, ad esempio
piegandoli o tirandoli.
» Evitare un avvolgimento troppo stretto del cavo.
» Evitare cadute o forti impatti.
3. USO APPROPRIATO
Prima di collegare l’m-JAYS al cellulare, abbassare il volume al minimo. Dopodiché, regolarlo
a piacimento.
Collegamento al cellulare
Collegare l’m-JAYS al cellulare con il simbolo JAYS rivolto verso l’alto. Spingere il connettore del
music adapter nell’ingresso cuffie del cellulare fino a che non si sente un ‘click’.
Chiamate in arrivo
Premere brevemente il tasto per accettare una chiamata in arrivo. Premere brevemente il tasto
ancora una volta per riagganciare.
Chiamata vocale
Premere brevemente il tasto per la risposta; viene emesso un segnale. Eseguire il comando
vocale; il telefono compone automaticamente il numero (il comando vocale deve essere salvato
sul telefono prima di poter utilizzare questa funzione).
Scollegamento dal cellulare
Assicurarsi di avere una presa ben salda sul connettore m-JAYS, quindi tirare. NON tirare il
cavo!

5. ASSISTENZA E SUPPORTO
Se si necessita di aiuto con il prodotto, contattare il proprio rivenditore o JAYS. I dettagli dei nostri
contatti sono riportati sul retro del presente manuale. Se il prodotto deve essere sostituito, il
rivenditore se ne farà carico se non altrimenti specificato. Il vostro prodotto ha 2 anni di garanzia
se non diversamente stabilito. La stessa copre gli errori di produzione. Per maggiori informazioni
sulla garanzia fare riferimento al punto 6.
6. GARANZIA
JAYS offre una garanzia di 2 anni. Questa garanzia limitata viene rilasciata agli acquirenti
dei prodotti JAYS AB. Nel caso in cui un terzo rivenda il prodotto dopo averlo acquistato
da JAYS AB, rilascia una garanzia differente da quest’ultimo e, la garanzia che si applica
è quella rilasciata per ultima. JAYS AB garantisce che il prodotto non presenta guasti ai
materiali, al design ed errori di produzione al momento della consegna all’acquirente. La
garanzia è valida solo se i seguenti requisiti vengono soddisfatti:
1) la garanzia viene rilasciata solo agli acquirenti che sono clienti finali e che possono
presentare uno scontrino o un certificato di garanzia contenente i dettagli del luogo di
acquisto, la data e il numero di serie. Tale garanzia non viola le disposizioni di legge o i
diritti dell’acquirente rispetto al venditore del prodotto;
2) questa garanzia limitata può, con riferimento al prodotto principale, essere applicata per
24 mesi dal momento in cui il cliente riceve il prodotto. Se l’acquirente vende il prodotto
ad un terzo, il compratore può esigere la copertura della garanzia per lo stesso periodo
dell’acquirente iniziale a condizione che i termini di cui al punto 1 siano rispettati;

3) in caso di guasti al design, ai materiali o errori di produzione, JAYS AB si farà carico
della messa a punto del guasto mediante riparazione o sostituzione. JAYS AB si impegna a
garantire all’acquirente un prodotto perfettamente funzionante durante il periodo coperto
dalla garanzia. La proprietà dei componenti sostituiti durante la riparazione appartiene
a JAYS;
4) la garanzia non copre il deterioramento del prodotto dovuto a normale usura e a
logoramento. Inoltre, la garanzia non viene applicata se:
a) il guasto è dovuto all’esposizione del prodotto ad umidità, temperature eccessive o
a sbalzi di temperatura o a prodotti chimici; in caso di danni dovuti a impatti inusuali o
a cause di forza maggiore non direttamente legate a guasti ai materiali, al design o alla
produzione;
b) il cliente non notifica la situazione a JAYS AB entro 30 giorni dalla scoperta del guasto
(all’interno del periodo di garanzia);
c) non è possibile identificare il prodotto verificando il numero di serie che dovrebbe
essere lo stesso per il prodotto e la relativa garanzia;
d) il prodotto è stato utilizzato in modo errato o è stato collegato ad un accessorio che
JAYS AB consiglia di non utilizzare con il prodotto in questione.
7. CERTIFICATI
L’obiettivo della Direttiva Europea sullo Smaltimento dei Rifiuti Elettrici ed Elettronici (WEEE),
direttive 2002/96/CE e direttiva ROHS è di ridurre i rifiuti derivanti da prodotti elettrici ed
elettronici e di riciclare quanto più materiale possibile. Ogni rifiuto restante non presenta di fatto
rischi nella gestione e il pericolo di emissioni nocive è minimo.

Assenza suono. Cosa posso fare? Controllare che il connettore sia ben collegato al
cellulare. Controllare che gli auricolari siano ben collegati
alla presa stereo da 3,5 mm.
Perché la persona con cui sto
parlando non mi sente bene?
Avvicinare il microfono.
Perché la linea è disturbata
quando parlo al telefono?
1. La clip del microfono non è fissata adeguatamente
sui vestiti e gratta contro gli stessi.
2. Si è in un ambiente ventoso o rumoroso. Proteggere il
microfono dal vento/rumore.
3. Il connettore non è ben collegato al cellulare.
Quanto dura la garanzia del mio
music adapter?
L’m-JAYS viene rilasciato con una garanzia di 2 anni se
non diversamente stabilito al momento dell’acquisto.
