General Safety Information Usage
Please read the following safety information.
•
When operating outdoors, use an extension cord
intended for outdoor use.
• Check electrical cord for damage prior to every
use to reduce risk of electrocution.
• Ensure safety with proper PPE. Wear goggles/
face shield, ear protection and a respirator.
•
Dress properly. Do not wear open toe shoes,
loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing, and
gloves away from moving parts.
• Do not force the saw.
•
Disconnect from power source when not in use.
• Store out of reach of children.
•
Always check blade alignment prior to use. Adjust
as necessary.
•
Monitor blade sharpness. Dull blades will lengthen
cutting times and increase the risk of injury.
1. Installing the Blade
•
Place the band saw on a table or bench with
the drums facing you.
•
Turn the tension handle clockwise to the
“Loose” setting.
•
Fit the blade, with the teeth facing toward you,
around the drums and between the guide
rollers. You hill have to adjust the blade angle
to fit between the rollers.

and evenly located around the drums.
•
Turn the tension handle counter-clockwise
to the “Tight” setting

Band Saw Safety
• Hold the saw by the insulated handles.
• Never leave the saw unattended when running.
•
Before each use put the tension handle in the
tightened position.
•
Make sure that the material being cut is securely
fastened to a work surface. Work slowly and
carefully when cutting corner, sharp edges, and
ragged welds to avoid the blade snagging.
•
Both the material being cut and band saw motor
housing can get very hot during operation. If this
happens, stop and allow the motor to cool before
restarting. Water or coolant can be sprayed onto
the blade to reduce heat.
•
This tool vibrates during use. Stop use if you
experience tingling, numbness, white or blue
fingers. Gloves may help reduce vibration effects.
