Before first use, wash grill plates and
drip tray. To clean grill plates, use a
sponge or soft cloth to wash in warm
soapy water or use the dishwasher.
Do not use a scrubbing pad or
abrasive cleaner.
DO NOT PREHEAT GRILL
Ensure both matching grill plates are
in position. Slide drip tray into position.
Plug power cord into standard
electrical outlet.
Using nylon tongs (never a fork),
carefully place uncooked refrigerated
sausage into positions on the bottom
grill plate, starting from the outside in.
The grill accommodates from one (1)
to five (5) dinner links, one (1) to
fourteen (14) breakfast links or one (1)
to eight (8) breakfast sausage patties.
Close grill cover gently and firmly
over links or patties. Push in latch
on grill handle until it “clicks”
to secure closed grill cover.
Press START button. The blue START
button light will turn on.
CAUTION
-
HOT SURFACES!
Grill produces hot oil and steam.
Use caution to avoid accidental burns.
Cook time is under 15 minutes.
Grill will "ding" when sausage
is done and then shuts off.
Carefully release the latch and
slowly open the grill cover.
Remove cooked sausage using
nylon tongs.
Allow grill to cool. Clean grill plates
and drip tray.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Proceed with caution and follow these safety instructions when using
electrical appliances:
Read all instructions in this Use & Care Booklet.
Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
Do not use this appliance outdoors.
The power cord for this appliance should be plugged into a 120V AC
electrical outlet only.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before attaching or removing grill plates.
Do not let cord hang over edges of tables or counters. Do not allow
cord to touch hot surfaces.
Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or buttons. Let grill cool
before cleaning.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing
hot oil or other hot liquids.
To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
Make sure that the removable grill plates are attached properly before
using the appliance.
The use of accessory attachments may cause injuries and is not
recommended by the appliance manufacturer.
The appliance is only to be operated in the closed position.
Do not use this appliance for applications other than its intended use.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Do not
operate any appliance if it malfunctions or has been damaged in

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (continued)
ELECTRIC POWER
This appliance should always be operated on a separate 120V electrical
outlet. Before plugging the grill into a wall outlet, ensure that the
electrical circuit is not overloaded with other appliances.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t
into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTION
A short power supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the
extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance.
The extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children
or tripped over unintentionally.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant
screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of re
or electric shock, do not try to remove the outer cover. This appliance
contains no user-serviceable parts. Users should not attempt to service
or repair the product themselves. Repairs should be done only by
authorized service personnel. Please contact customer care for
more information.

HOW TO USE
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
Remove all packing material and, if applicable, any stickers from
the product; remove and save Use & Care Booklet.
Please register at www.sizzlingsausagegrill.com/warranty to activate
your product warranty.
Wash all removable parts and/or accessories as instructed in
CARE AND CLEANING.
Select a dry, level location where your grill will be used, leaving enough
space between the back of grill and walls or counters to allow heat to ow
without damage to cabinets and walls.
ATTACH MATCHING REMOVABLE GRILL PLATES AND DRIP TRAY
Important: This appliance should always be used with two (2) matching
plates securely attached.
1. Securely attach the top and bottom grill plates by inserting the two (2)
tabs on the edge of each grill plate into position on the grill. Gently
press the grill plates into position.
2. To remove a grill plate, press in the two (2) release buttons
simultaneously on the bottom or top of the grill (B1, B2) and gently
pull grill plate off.

3. Slide drip tray into position under front section underneath the bottom
grill plate (B3).
USING YOUR GRILL
The JOHNSONVILLE®SIZZLING SAUSAGE GRILL PLUS™is designed to
cook fresh, uncooked Johnsonville®dinner sausages and breakfast sausages
and patties. It can cook from one (1) to ve (5) dinner sausage links, one (1) to
fourteen (14) breakfast sausage links and one (1) to eight (8) patties at a time.
This product has been designed and tested for use with Johnsonville®fresh
uncooked Original Brats, Mild Italian Sausage or any of our other avorful
dinner sausages or breakfast sausages and patties.
Caution: Precooked product should not be used with this grill.

GRILLING TIPS
Thaw product prior to cooking.
Pork sausage is fully cooked when the internal temperature of the
sausage reaches 160°F.
The JOHNSONVILLE®Sizzling Sausage Grill Plus™is designed to grill
sausage to a safe doneness temperature. Do not undercook sausage.
The grill does not need to be preheated.
Always use heatproof nylon, silicone or wood utensils to avoid
scratching the nonstick surface of the grill plates. Never use metal
skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
Avoid piercing sausage, since it releases the great taste and juicy avor.
To avoid injury, prevent heat loss and promote even cooking, do not
open the grill cover during cooking.
The grill plates have positions to hold dinner and breakfast sausage
links and patties. When cooking one (1) sausage, please place in outside
positions.
The grill plates are specially designed to t Johnsonville®fresh Brats,
Italian Sausages as well as other avorful Johnsonville dinner and
breakfast sausage.

SAUSAGE SAFE HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
This product was created for meat and/
or poultry that has passed inspection.
Some food products may contain bacteria
that could cause illness if the product is
mishandled or cooked improperly. For your
protection, follow these safe food handling
instructions:
Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in
refrigerator or microwave.
Keep raw meat and poultry separate
from other foods. Wash working surfaces
(including cutting boards), utensils and
hands after touching raw meat or poultry.
Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers
immediately or discard.
Cook thoroughly.

HOW TO GRILL SAUSAGE
Important: Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
Note: The nonstick coating on the grill plates is designed to work without
oil, butter or cooking spray. If desired, you may use oil or butter. However,
aerosol cooking spray should never be used; aerosol spray chemicals can
build up on the surface of the plates and reduce their effectiveness.
The grill does not need to be preheated.
1. Plug electrical power cord into standard electrical outlet.
2. Using nylon tongs (never a fork), carefully place uncooked refrigerated
sausage into positions on the bottom grill plate. The grill accommodates
from one (1) to ve (5) dinner links, one (1) to fourteen (14) breakfast
links or one (1) to eight (8) breakfast sausage patties.
3. Close grill cover gently and rmly over sausage links.
4. Push in latch on grill handle until it “clicks” to securely close the grill
cover.
5. Press the START button to turn the grill on. The blue START button
light will turn on.
6. The grill will signal with one (1) beep and automatically shut off when
the sausage reaches doneness temperature.
The JOHNSONVILLE®Sizzling Sausage Grill Plus™ is
designed to grill sausage to a safe doneness temperature.
The grill will sound one (1) beep when the sausage is fully
cooked. The grill will automatically shut off.
The typical cook time for refrigerated, uncooked Johnsonville®
Sausage is 10-15 minutes for dinner links, and 7-8 minutes
for breakfast sausage and patties.
7. After the grill beeps to signal doneness and the grill shuts off, use pot
holders or oven mitts to carefully open the grill cover.
8. Remove cooked sausage using nylon tongs.
9. Unplug the grill.

10. Allow drip tray to cool before removing from under grill. Wash and dry
the drip tray after each use. If placing the drip tray in the dishwasher,
place it on the top rack only.
11. Do not remove the grill plates while the grill is hot. Always allow plates
to cool to room temperature before removing and cleaning.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Users should not attempt
to service or repair the product themselves.
CAUTION: To avoid accidental burns, allow grill to cool
thoroughly before cleaning.
1. Before cleaning, unplug grill from the electrical outlet and allow
grill to cool.
2. Place drip tray under front of grill. Use a plastic spatula or paper towel
to scrape any excess food particles left on the grill plates into the drip
tray. Wipe plates dry with a paper towel to avoid drippings spilling on
onto your counter when grill plates are removed.
3. Remove plates, as instructed in HOW TO USE. To clean removable grill
plates, use a sponge or soft cloth to wash in warm, soapy water or use
the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
Important: Do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool or any
abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill; use only a sponge or
soft cloth and hot soapy water.
4. These plates are dishwasher safe. When using the dishwasher, ensure
plates are placed securely in dish holders in the bottom tray and wash
with the normal cycle.
Note: If washing the grill plates in a dishwasher, dishwasher detergent
may cause oxidation on the uncoated side of grill plate. This is not
harmful and will not affect appliance performance.
5. Empty drip tray and wash in warm, soapy water or place in dishwasher
top rack.

6. Reinstall grill plates, making sure that both matching plates are
securely attached to grill body.
7. To clean the grill cover, wipe with a warm, wet sponge and dry with a
soft, dry cloth.
CAUTION: Make sure to hold grill cover by the handle while
cleaning to prevent accidental closing and injury.
IMPORTANT: Do not immerse body of grill in water or any other
liquid.
STORAGE
Always make sure grill is clean and dry before storing. The grill can be
closed with latch that keeps it neatly locked.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Check to be sure the appliance is
plugged into working outlet. When
the START button is pushed, the
START button will have a blue light.
Sausage color
is too dark after

shuts off. If sausage is not removed
promptly, residual grill heat will
continue to cook the sausage and
may result in overcooking.
Unexpected grill
shut off.
Grill may have
been accidentally

interrupted.
If cooking has been interrupted for
less than 5 minutes: Unplug the unit.
Then, plug unit back into electrical
outlet and press the START button/
light to restart grill.
If cooking has been interrupted
for longer than 5 minutes: Discard
sausage.
Finish on grill
plates has cut
marks.
Metal utensils have
been used.
Always use heatproof plastic, nylon
or wood utensils to avoid scratching
the nonstick surface of grill plates.
Never use metal skewers, tongs, forks
or knives.
There is food
buildup on grill
plates.
Grill was not

Shelly’s Grills LLC and its products are covered by our direct warranty to you
the consumer. Terms and conditions are outlined below.
Shelly’s Grills, LLC and its products are not subject to the terms and
conditions of 3rd party extended warranties or service agreements sold via
external retail channels.
Shelly’s Grills LLC warrants the product sold under the terms and conditions
as outlined in this warranty language. Void where prohibited by law.
What does the warranty cover?
Shelly’s Grills LLC warrants to the end-user owner of the Johnsonville®
Sizzling Sausage Grill Plus™supplied with this warranty (the “Product”)
that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.
Shelly’s Grills, LLC liability will not exceed the purchase price of the product.
For how long after the original purchase?
Two years from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”),
with proof of purchase.
How do you make a warranty claim?
Save your receipt as proof of date of sale.

discretion, that the Product is ineligible for coverage under this warranty.
