OPERATION
General safety information for the operation of Patio Awnings.
The operation of Patio Awnings may only be carried out by
persons who have received instruction by a trained
operative. Children should not operate the awning.
When retracting or extending the awning, avoid all contact. Do not
walk on, or apply anything to the fabric. No objects or weights may
be attached to the Patio Awning.
Do not lean anything onto the Patio Awning.
When working within the projecting area of a Patio Awning, the
automatic control (Sun & Wind) must be switched o, so that the Patio
Awning cannot extend or retract automatically.
Patio Awnings should be retracted when not in use.
With ice, snow or strong winds, Patio Awnings may
not be used. The awning must be completely extended
with the minimum pitch inclination set at 15° or greater.
The side awning (optional extra) is to be removed before the Patio
Awning is retracted. The variable valance (optional extra) must be
rolled in before the Patio Awning is retracted.
If the awning fabric becomes moist or even wet, the Patio
Awning must be extended as soon as possible in order to dry.
OPERATING THE PATIO AWNING WITH HAND CRANK
Extending the awning
Hook the hand crank into the transmission eye and extend awning to
the position required or completely by turning the crank in a
clockwise direction.
The fully extended awning limit is set within manufacture. As a
result, the awning fabric always remains tensioned. If the awning
fabric loses tension, the tension is to be restored by retracting the
Patio Awning.
Retracting the awning
Hook the hand crank into the transmission eye and turn in an
anti-clockwise direction until the awning is closed.
On reaching the limit, do not continue to turn the hand crank inside
and outside with force.
OPERATING THE PATIO AWNING WITH AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
A qualied person must train the user in operating the electric motor
during the course of installation.
Extending the awning
Press the Down arrow to extend the Patio Awning to the required
degree of shading. The end position is reached when the motor
switches o.
Retracting the awning
Press the Up arrow to retract the Patio Awning to the required
degree of shading. The end position is reached when the motor
switches o.
