Please read this
instruction manual
carefully before use and
save for later reference.
■Check that the electrical supply ratings of
the appliance are correct for your home
(see Specification).
■The appliance must be connected via
an earthed socket, which should have an
individually rated load of above 10A. The
plug must be fully pushed into the socket.
Overheating could occur if a socket is
shared and overloaded.
■Do not insert plug with wet hands.
■Ensure that the Power Cable does
not trail over the edge of the work
top, is positioned where it cannot be
accidentally pulled or snagged, and that
it is kept away from any hot object.
■The appliance should always be used on
a flat and stable heat resistant surface.
Ensure that the sides of the Healthy Grill
are at least 10cm from surrounding walls
and objects.
■Do not place the appliance near a hot
gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
■Do not use the appliance on a carpet or
tablecloth.
■Do not move the appliance whilst in
operation.
■Do not use the appliance for any purpose
other than that for which it is intended.
■Never move the appliance by pulling the
power cable.
■Use the appliance only for its intended
purpose.
■Do not use the appliance outdoors.
■THE COOKING SURFACES AND LID
WILL BECOME VERY HOT DURING
USE.
■If using a plastic spatula, do not leave
on the Cooking Surface when they are
hot.
■This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
■Children shall not play with the
appliance.
■Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children unless they are older
than 8 and supervised.

damaged, contact Judge at the address
given beneath the warranty statement.
■Do not operate the appliance with a
damaged Power Cable or Plug .
■Do not attempt to repair the appliance.
In case of breakdown return it to Judge
at the address given beneath the
Guarantee statement.

Use as a Grill
1. Use the Handle to fully raise the Lid .
2. Place the food to be cooked on the bottom Cooking Surface .
■The Healthy Grill may be used to cook food with the Lid in the open or closed position.
The Lid must be fully lowered to achieve grill marks on the food and has a floating
hinge which allows the top Cooking Surface to press down evenly on the food.
■TAKE CARE NOT TO TOUCH THE COOKING SURFACES OR LID , WHICH WILL
BECOME VERY HOT DURING THIS PROCESS.
3. When the food is cooked, if necessary use the Handle to fully raise the Lid , then use
a plastic or wooden spatula or turner to remove the food.
■Do not use metal implements on the non-stick Cooking Surfaces .
Grilling Guide
The Healthy Grill is most suitable for tender cuts of meat. Less tender cuts of meat should
be marinated for a few hours or overnight to tenderise them. Drain excess marinade off and
dab with kitchen paper to avoid marking the Cooking Surfaces . Do not salt meat before
cooking. Take care not to over or under cook meat. If in doubt use a meat thermometer to
check meat is cooked through.
The following guide gives approximate ranges of cooking times. These will vary according to
the exact cut of meat, thickness and personal preference.
Food type Suggested cooking times
Beef 1 min (minute steak) - 6 min (sirloin steak, well done)
Pork 2 min (fillet or bacon) - 6 min (steak)
Lamb 3 min - 4 min
Chicken 4 min - 6 min, or until cooked through
Sausages 3 min (thin) - 7 min (thick)
Vegetables 3 min - 5 min (sliced 1cm thick)
Seafood 1 min (scallops) - 5 min (fish cutlets)
Cleaning & Storage
■Allow the Healthy Grill to cool before cleaning, but this will be easier if it is still slightly
warm. Clean after every use and before storage.
1. Use the Handle to fully raise the Lid .
2. Wipe the Cooking Surfaces using a cloth, slightly dampened with liquid detergent and
warm water. Dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe the Lid and Base using a cloth, slightly dampened with liquid detergent and
warm water.
■DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE HEALTHY GRILL BODY IN WATER.
4. Wash the Drip Tray in a solution of liquid detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly.
■Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners, steel wool scourers or other metal implements
■When storing, allow to fully cool. Store in a dry place.
Identifying The Parts of Your Judge Healthy Grill

Before First Use
1. Remove any labels and/or swing tickets.
2. Follow the instructions for cleaning the Healthy Grill.
■DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE HEALTHY GRILL BODY IN WATER.
3. Follow the HOW TO USE instructions to run the Healthy Grill with the Lid open for 5
minutes.
■It is normal for smoke and a hot smell to be emitted during this process; manufacturing
residues are being removed.
■TAKE CARE NOT TO TOUCH THE COOKING SURFACES OR LID , WHICH WILL
BECOME VERY HOT DURING THIS PROCESS.
4. Allow the Healthy Grill to cool.
How To Use
1. The Healthy Grill should always be used on a flat and stable heat resistant surface. Ensure
that the sides of the Healthy Grill are at least 10cm from surrounding walls and objects.
2. If required position the Drip Tray beneath the Draining Channel in the in the front
left of the Base .
3. Plug the Mains Plug into a mains socket (check your supply is compatible with
the Rating Information) and switch on at the socket. The Red Power On Light will
illuminate.
4. Allow the Healthy Grill to preheat until the Green ‘Ready to Cook’ Light illuminates.
■The Green ‘Ready to Cook’ Light may extinguish, then illuminate, throughout the
cooking process, as the Healthy Grill maintains the set temperature.
Use as a Sandwich Toaster
1. Use the Handle to fully raise the Lid .
2. Prepare the sandwich and place it on the bottom Cooking Surface .
3. Use the Handle to lower the Lid .
■The Lid must be fully lowered to toast sandwiches and has a floating hinge which
allows the top Cooking Surface to press down evenly on the sandwich.
■TAKE CARE NOT TO TOUCH THE COOKING SURFACES OR LID , WHICH WILL
BECOME VERY HOT DURING THIS PROCESS.
4. When the sandwich is cooked, use the Handle to fully raise the Lid , then use a
plastic or wooden spatula or turner to remove the food.
■The toasting time will vary according to taste, the type of bread and the other
ingredients, you can check as you cook.
■Do not use metal implements on the non-stick Cooking Surfaces .
