1 、Instruction
These series of products can be widely used in intelligent building, bank security, urban roads, airport terminals and bus stations, and
also are able to satisfy various demands from any square and activities occasion.
1.1 Safety Instructions
◆Make sure to read the use’s manual before using the product.
◆Always confirm to national and local safety codes during installation.
◆Only qualified and experienced person can carry on this installation and maintenance.
◆Use reliable tools, otherwise may lead to dangerous incidents.
◆Make sure that the environmental conditions meet the installation requirements for this product.
◆Please check the space and toughness of the site before installing. It should be able to bear 4 times the weight of the dome and
its accessories.
◆Please keep all the original dome package materials for future repacking and transporting.
1.2 Warnings
◆Do not install this speed dome in hazardous places where combustible or explosive materials are stored or used.
◆Do not place the machine on shaking desk.
◆Make sure no uncertain object or fluid substances get inside the unit.
◆This speed dome runs on DC 12V, do not connect it to higher or lower voltage.
◆Please check RS 485 cable.
◆Do not turn power on before finishing installation.
◆Do not disassemble any part of the items.
◆Use soft towel to clean the down cover when necessary, do not use caustic detergent.
◆To protect CCD, avoid facing the camera directly to the strong light.
◆To prevent damage, do not drop the unit or subject to strong shock or vibration."

4.2 Installation Preparation
(1) Check the space and toughness of the site Make sure that the environmental conditions meet the installation requirements for this
product.
(2) Please check the space and toughness of the site before installing. It should be able to bear 4 times the weight of the PTZ and its
accessories.

5.1 Setup of the OSD Menu
5.1.1 Protocol
(1) Braud Rate
The baud rate is determined based on the ball machine DIP switch. When the baud rate DIP switch DIP nobody any
baud rate of automatic identification

2. The operation process of presets:
(1) Set up preset points
Shake the keyboard joystick or other control software to make PTZ reach a region. Enter the point ID on the
keyboard or other control software and press “install” or “SET” button. Set the current preset point, and the PTZ
will save the zoom of the camera to a specific point ID.
(2) Call preset points
Enter the point ID on the keyboard or other control software and press “transfer” or “CALL” button. And the PTZ
will jump to the position which the presets had set before. If the point ID is not set before, the OSD will show "not
set"
(3) Delete preset points
Enter the point ID on the keyboard or other control software and press “delete”, then the change of preset points
will be deleted.
5.2.2 Cruise function of preset points
The product supports 9 cruise functions of presets points and each cruise trajectory can edit 16 preset points.
It will make the corresponding presets jump one by one according to priority. 16 preset points should be set by
cruise function one by one. If the preset point number is not set, it will jump directly to the next set preset point.
Concerning the cruise function configuration, please see the cruising scan settings of the menu.
5.2.3 Function of sweep scan
The product supports 16 sweep scan. It finishes the action of scanning by PTZ between two points.
You should pre-set the start point, end point and the DIA. The zoom of camera will change according to the
camera of the start point and the one of the end point will never change. Please see the menu of sweep scan
function configuration behind.

5.2.4 Function of rotate scan (360°)
The product support 8 rotate scan, which scan by 360°. You need pre-set the start point, end point and the DIA
(Clockwise or counterclockwise). See the menu about the details.

5.2.5 Function of pattern scan
The product supports 4 pattern scan. Every pattern scan can record 450 mandates for 10 minutes. It includes 2
phases. The first one is record, which will record all mandates of control that the product receives. The second one
is playback, which will execute the mandates circulating. See the menu about the details.

5.2.6 Timing functions
The product supports 4 timing functions. It can specify the machine reaches a certain point and perform the
appointed action in time. You need to set start time, end time and time mode (Appointing one appointed day to
start the function). When the system clock reaches the start time, it will perform the appointed action. And when it
reaches the end time, it will finish the action. Concerning timing function configuration, see the menu behind.

Note:
When the system clock reaches the end time, the system will judge whether the current implementation of the action initiated by a
timer first. If not, the action will not be canceled.

5.2.7 Power up action
After the system reboot, it will perform the appointed action. It includes: (1) Transferring preset points. (2) Performing sweep scan.
(3) Performing rotate scan. (4) Performing pattern scan. (5) Performing preset point cruise (6) Performing motion detection. (7)
Performing Motion tracking

5.2.8 Park action & park time
Definition of park action: without control of the machine. The product doesn’t perform any continuous action.
Park action: when the product comes to the park time in the circumstances of park, it will perform the appointed action. It includes:
(1) Transferring preset points. (2) Performing sweep scan. (3) Performing rotate scan. (4) Performing pattern scan. (5) Performing
preset point cruise (6) Performing motion detection. (7) Performing Motion tracking

5.2.9 Depth of field proportion deceleration (it require the camera read the zoom)
The product supports the function of depth of field proportion deceleration. It will read the zoom automatically and determine the
maximum speed of the product according to the zoom. The zoom of camera becomes bigger; the maximum speed by manual control
becomes lower.

5.2.10 Auto flip
In the process of operating the joystick to trace and monitor, if the user move the lens to the bottom (vertical) then continues pressing
the joystick, the lens will automatically flip 180º horizontally, then the user can still control it to move upwards till 90°, which
enables the user to directly observe the situation on the back side, thus fore-and-aft 180° consecutive monitoring can be realized.

5.2.11 Motion detection
The product supports 8 zones for motion detection. Every zone supports 4 regions. The sensitivity, the size of the target and the
position of region can be set.

5.2.12 Motion tracking
The product supports Motion tracking. It will trace the locomotive object and change the zoom of the lens to an opportune magnitude
when there is a locomotive object. The sensitivity, trigger tracking object size, and trigger tracking object speed can be adjusted to
different situation.

5.3 Menu Setup
5.3.1 Open the menu
Call or set up preset point No.95 (a special preset point of system) to open the menu.
5.3.2 Basic patterns of menu
Menu includes 4 basic forms:
(1) “[******]”
This kind of menu item shows that the menu involves submenu.
(2) “<******>”
This kind of menu item shows that the number in”< >”can be changed by “up” and “down”, “left” and “right”.
(3)“******>”
This kind of menu item shows that press <IRIS OPEN> to enter configuration.
(4)“****** :******”
This kind of menu item includes 2 parts, before “:”is the item of configuration, after”:” is the value of configuration. Pressing
<IRIS OPEN>and it will changed into“****** :<******>”.Concerning <******>”, please see (ⅱ).
5.3.3 Basic operation of menu
Basic operation of menu: up and down, left and right, <IRIS OPEN>, <IRIS CLOSE>
Up and down, left and right: about ergodic menu item or modify the value of the item.
<IRIS OPEN>: to enter submenu, begin to modify the value of the menu item, confirm and save the value.
<IRIS CLOSE>: to return to the previous menu or cancel the modification of the value.

(2) Set Date Display
Move to present menu to “Display Setup”, chose OPEN (IRIS OPEN+) into the Submenu. Move to the menu which you will change
it, choose OPEN to get in the present menu. Press to open the Modify button to enter the value of the current menu item, move the
joystick up and down to select the value of the menu item, press the OPEN(IRIS+) to confirm the disease exit. Press the Close button
to cancel the setting operation."

[NORMAL SETUP]: this submenu includes some basic controlling attribute. See the description of the submenu.
[ALARM SETUP]: this submenu includes setup of alarm attribute. See the description of the submenu.
[IR SETUP]: this submenu includes setup of IR attribute.
[TIMER SETUP]: this submenu includes setup of time attribute. See the description of the submenu.
[WIPERS SETUP] this submenu includes setup of controlling attribute of wipers. Just domes with wipers support this setup. Others

Press<IRIS OPEN>to enter normal setup. Move to menu item, press<IRIS OPEN>to modify the value of the corresponding menu
item—> move the joystick up and down, left and right to modify the value —> press<IRIS OPEN> to confirm and save, and
press<IRIS CLOSE> to cancel the setting.
Auto flip: Moving to the vertical bottom by the lens is automatic flip by 180º horizontally,
Proportion speed: Confirm the hand controlling speed according to the zoom of camera.
Image freeze: Before preset calling, first send message to freeze frame. Then unfreeze the frame after it reaches the preset point.
Soft addr switch: Turn on the switch, the function of soft address is open. The value is the value of the menu “SOFT ADDR”. When
you cancel this function, the dome’s address is the address that the DIP switch has set.
Soft addr: The No. of soft address.
Power on action: The action that the dome executive once power on.
Park time: Move the joystick left and right to select<N second>、<N minute>, and move the joystick up and down to select the value
of “N”.

Press<IRIS OPEN>to enter alarm setup. Move to menu item, press<IRIS OPEN>to modify the value of the corresponding menu item
—> move the joystick up and down, left and right to modify the value —> press<IRIS OPEN> to confirm and save, and press<IRIS
CLOSE> to cancel the setting.
ALARM ID: When you modify the alarm number, all items of this menu will refresh the configuration value of all items according to
the configuration of the alarm number.
ALARM MODE: <START SCHEDULE>---when there is an alarm, it will executive the appointed action by “ALARM ACTION”.
<CLOSE SCHEDULE>---never executive any action even if there is an alarm. <AUTO>---when there is an alarm, judge the currant
time, if it is during the configuration values of “START TIME” and “CLOSE TIME”, it will executive alarm action.
ALARM OUTPUT: Switch of alarm output.
KEEP TIME: The time keep an alarm. Move the joystick left and right to select<N second>、<N minute>, and move the joystick up
and down to select the value of “N”.
START TIME: When the alarm mode is <AUTO>, it appoints when the alarm is ON.
END TIME: When the alarm mode is <AUTO>, it appoints when the alarm is OFF.
[ALARM TITLE]: Concerning the submenu’s setting way of the alarm title, please see the setting way of dome title. All alarm title
can be set independently.

Press<IRIS OPEN>to enter IR setup. Move to menu item, press<IRIS OPEN>to modify the value of the corresponding menu item—
> move the joystick up and down, left and right to modify the value —> press<IRIS OPEN> to confirm and save, and press<IRIS
CLOSE> to cancel the setting.
IR MODE: Define the mode of IR brightness. Auto- IR brightness read the environmental condition at regular time, according to the
value that “SCAN TIME” has set. If it reaches the level that “THRESHOLD” has set, the dome will open or close the IR brightness
automatically.
Hand-actuated - the IR brightness will keep ON. Hand-shutdown - the IR brightness will keep OFF. Camera – when the IR of camera
changed automatically, the IR will change into the corresponding mode. Time – turn on the IR brightness automatically during
“OPEN TIME” and “CLOSE TIME”.
BRIGHTNESS: Appoint the brightness level of IR brightness. If it is<AUTO>, the brightness will adjust to the currant zoom of the
camera.
OPEN TIME: When it is <TIME>, the value of the menu is defined as open time of the IR brightness,
CLOSE TIME: When it is <TIME>, the value of the menu is defined as close time of the IR brightness,
COMPENSATION: Level of compensation.
SCAN TIME: Define the scan time of lightness sensitivity. Move the joystick left and right to select<N second>、<N minute>, and
move the joystick up and down to select the value of “N”.
THRESHOLD: The threshold level of IR brightness turning on.

IR MODE: Define the mode of IR brightness. Auto- IR brightness read the environmental condition at regular time, according to the
value that “SCAN TIME” has set. If it reaches the level that “THRESHOLD” has set, the dome will open or close the IR brightness
automatically.
Hand-actuated - the IR brightness will keep ON. Hand-shutdown - the IR brightness will keep OFF. Camera – when the IR of camera
changed automatically, the IR will change into the corresponding mode. Time – turn on the IR brightness automatically during
“OPEN TIME” and “CLOSE TIME”.
BRIGHTNESS: Appoint the brightness level of IR brightness. If it is<AUTO>, the brightness will adjust to the currant zoom of the
camera.
OPEN TIME: When it is <TIME>, the value of the menu is defined as open time of the IR brightness,
CLOSE TIME: When it is <TIME>, the value of the menu is defined as close time of the IR brightness,
COMPENSATION: Level of compensation.
SCAN TIME: Define the scan time of lightness sensitivity. Move the joystick left and right to select<N second>、<N minute>, and
move the joystick up and down to select the value of “N”.
THRESHOLD: The threshold level of IR brightness turning on.
