Preface
1.The name of the camera’s Wi-Fi Hotspot starts with IPC. And the password of the
Wi-Fi Hotspot is: 01234567. The Wi-Fi range of the Hotspot is up to 49ft without
walls and obstacles.
2.The phone APP (CamHi) is available from Apple Store/Google Play Store.
3.The address to download PC Client (HiP2P Client) for the camera:
www.luowice.com/en/R8-download.html (Get the PC Client Software >>)
4.The default user name and the password of the camera are: admin. And the user
name cannot be modified, while the password can be modified.
5.The default setting of SD card is to overwrite the oldest recorded videos when
storage is full.
6.The camera can be paired to Luowice DVR/NVR that supports ONVIF.

Camera Installation

1.1 Precautions
a)Please avoid using the device in water, under high temperature or dusty
environment.
b)Please use SD card, USB devices and hard devices purchased from
authentic sources only.
c)Please use only 12V power adapter to plug the camera in power.
d)Note: The camera cannot recognize Wi-Fi user name or password that
include special characters (e.g. &, #, =, etc). Nor can the camera connect
to hidden Wi-Fi. The password of your local Wi-Fi shall be within 15
letters and avoid using special characters (e.g. &, #, =, etc). The camera
does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
e)Please avoid installing the camera in places where night vision can be
affected. Make sure that the lens of the camera does not face to walls,
trees, glasses and other stuff that can reflect the IR light back to the
camera. Otherwise the night vision of the camera will have many bright
spots.

1. Avoid having obstacles in front of the camera
As the image shows, the guard
bars block the infared light,
which makes the sides of the view
blurred.
Solution: Install the camera in
where there is no obstacles.
Before: Obstacles make the imageblurred. After: Clear black/white image.
2. Avoid installing two cameras face to face
When two cameras face to face, they will affect each other and
causeinfared light exposure.

Solution: Avoid cameras facing to each other.
Before: Exposure of infared light. After: Clear black/white image.
3. Avoid installing the camera too close to the wall
If the camera is too close to the
wall, the infared light wil be
reflected back to the lensand
cause exposure.
Solution: Adjust the angle of
the camera to avoid infared
light reflection.
Before: Exposure makes things blurred. After: Clear black/white image.

1.2 Preparation
Things you need to get the system works:
a)Internet Connection
The camera can work without Internet. But if you want to have remote view,
which means viewing the camera when you are not within the camera’s Wi-
Fi Hotspot range (49ft). Please configure the camera to your local Wi-Fi
network to get the camera online for remote access.1.3 Installation

1.4 Screw the Antenna
As the below images shown, please adjust the Antenna till it is at an angle
of 90 degrees to the camera. Please avoid the Antenna and the camera to
be in a straight line.
Note:Please screw the antenna on till it is in 90 degree to the camera.
Please avoid screwing the antenna too harsh after it is screwed firmly to
the camera. Otherwise the screw interface will be damaged.
1.5 Assemble the Camera and the Bracket
Please avoid adjusting the angles of the camera bracket directly by hand.
The angles of camera shall be adjusted via the PTZ function on the
mobile APP or PC Client. Adjusting the bracket manually can cause
damage to the PTZ function.
Please put the wires (5, 6, 7) through the bracket (4) one by one. Put all the
three wires through the bracket at the same time can make them be stuffed in
the middle and fail to get through.
Please place the screw (3) to the right interface (2, 1) to assemble the camera.

Note: Please keep the camera within your local Wi-Fi range.
1.6 Pair the Camera with Local Wi-Fi Network(LAN Mode) Connecting the camera to your local router via a network cable.
Please plug the camera in power. Download the APP (CamHi) and install
it to your smartphone. You can search CamHi in Apple Store or Google
Play Store.
Step 1: Please open the APP and click 'Add Camera'.

Note: If you cannot get the UID by scanning the QR code, please type in
the UID directly. Or you can click 'Search camera from LAN' to get the
UID.
Step 3: After the camera indicates 'Online', please click the Setting icon
to enter the main menu. Then click 'Wi-Fi Setting' – click 'Wi-Fi manger'.
Step 2: The default name of the camera on the APP is 'Camera' and you
can change it to any name you like (e.g. Office1). And then please click
'Scan QR Code' to scan the QR label on the side of the camera to get the
UID of the camera, then click 'Done' (Some models will show a check
mark instead of the word 'Done'). Wait for around one minute, and the
camera shall indicate 'Online'.
Choose your local Wi-Fi network - Insert the password of your local Wi-
Fi network - Click 'Apply'. Waiting for around one minute, and remote
view shall be applicable.

After finishing the remote setting, you can disconnect the network cable
from the camera. Now the camera will work in a wireless way with your
local Wi-Fi network. And you can pick any places within your local Wi-Fi
range to install the camera.

Instruction for Operation on Phone APP

2.1 Default Interface
The default interface of the APP is as the left image on the above. There
are 8 icons that you can choose from to enter different interface.
1. Edit: Click 'Edit' and you will see a camera list on the pop-out page. If
you want to delete the camera, please click the icon, and click 'Delete'.
Click on the camera name, and then you can modify the name/password
of the camera on the pop-out page.
2. Add Camera: Click 'Add Camera' to add camera to the APP.
3. Click the circled area of '3', you can enter the live view interface.
4. Click the icon , and you can enter the main menu.
5. Click 'Camera', then you can see a list of cameras added on the APP.
6. Click 'Picture', and you can check the snapshots you took while live
watching the camera.
7. Click 'Video', then you can check the video records you took while live
watching the camera via 'Local'; and check the video records stored on
the pre-installed SD card via 'Online'.
8. Click 'About', and you can get the version information of the APP.

Note: 1.Please kindly make sure your local router name and password
without any space and special charters such as ‘~, `, ?, ,, #, $, ), <, *, =, +,
&, “, :, ;, /,etc. Otherwise the ‘WIFI Setting’ will fail. Cause the camera
can’t recognize special charters automatically.
2.If your local Wi-Fi network is not stable, you can keep connecting the
camera with your local router via network cable to gain more stable
signal transmission.

●Lens Adjusting: Mirror/Flip. Mirror will make the view swap from
left to right and vice versa; Flip will make the view upside down and vice
versa. When you install the camera under a roof or on a wall where there
is restriction on space, you may need this function to get a right view.
Operation: Please click the icon , and the Mirror/Flip interface will
appear. And then click any of them based on your need.
●Zoom/Focus: Four times optical zoom allows you to get closer details
or farther view; Focus helps you to get clear view on specific spot.

Operation: Please kindly click the icon ,and the Zoom/Focus interface
will appear. And then press on Zoom in/Zoom out to get the view you like;
loosen Zoom in/Zoom out and wait for seconds. Then the camera shall
adjust the view to be clear automatically after zooming. If the view is not
clear enough, then press on Focus in/Focus out to get clear view.
Note: If the camera is frozen after pressing the maximum Zoom in/Zoom
out, please exit the camera view interface first and re-enter camera live
view after seconds. Then Zoom in/Zoom out to the position you want.
●Position Preset: This function allows you to set up specific position to
adjust the lens precisely.
Operation:
a)First, please move your finger on the default interface from left/right,
up/down to choose a position that you want to set up as a preset position.
Then click the icon , and the Position Preset interface will appear. And
then click '2' – click 'Setup'. Then there shall be indication shown as
'Default setting successes'. And the chosen position will be set up as
position 1 successfully.
a)Click any place on the interface to exit the Position Preset interface.
And then finger move the default interface to choose positions to set up
as position 3, position 4, … And set up preset positions following step 1),
step 2) above.
b)When you want to move the view from a preset position to another
preset position, for example, from position 2 to position 3, just simply
click on '3', and then click 'Call', then the view will move to position 3
precisely.
Note: Please do not set any position as preset position 1. Because when
changing position between preset position 1 and other preset positions, it
will not adjust zoom automatically. Just leave preset position 1 blank.

Operation: Please kindly click the icon and it will turn into . Then the
recording will be with audio. Press on the intercom icon and the intercom
function is activated. Please keep pressing on the intercom icon duringsp
eaking. And then loosen the intercom to send out the voice message to the
other side. If you want to turn off the audio recording function, pleaseclic
k the icon And then the record will be without audio.
●Exit: Exit the camera view
Operation: Please kindly click the icon , and you will exit the camera
view then.
●Audio Adjusting: Turn on audio recording and intercom function.
Note:
a)Please check whether the camera model you purchased is with
intercom function.If not, the intercom function will not be applicable.
b)The video record on the SD card is always with audio.
c)If the audio volume is too low, please go to 'Audio Setting' to adjust the
input/output volume of Line In/Mic.
●Snapshot: Take pictures while you are watching the live video.
Operation: Please click the icon . And there shall be indicated as
'Snapshot Saved'. And then exit the default interface. Click 'Picture'. And
you will see the number of snapshot on the opening interface. Click the
camera you want to check the snapshots and the snapshots will appear
then. If you want to delete a snapshot, click the snapshot to open the
image, and then click the icon and click on 'Delete' on the pop-out
page. You can also email the snapshot or save the snapshot to your phone
album on the pop-out page.

●Local Record: To activate recording while you are watching live video
of the camera via smartphone. And then the recording will be stored in
your smartphone. This function helps you to save video record when
there is something suspicious happened while you are watching the live
video of the camera. And it will not affect the scheduled recording on SD
card on the camera.
Operation: Please click the icon , and the video recording on the phone
will be activated. Click the icon , and the recording will stop. Then
exit the default interface. Click 'Video' – click 'Local'. And the camera list
will appear. Click the camera you want to check the local records and the
record list will appear. Then click a record you want to check and the
opening interface will start playing back the video automatically. And then
you can click the icon to exit the video playback. If you want to delete
a record, please press on the record and move your finger to the left and the
'Delete' icon will appear. Click 'Delete' and the record will be deleted then.
Note: Local video records on the phone/tablet/PC is without audio.
●Resolution Adjusting: To adjust the resolution of the video.

2.3 Camera Setting Interface
2.3.1 Instruction on Entering the Main Menu
Operation: Please open the APP click the setting icon after the camera
indicating as 'Online'. And the main menu page will appear.
Operation: Please kindly click the icon and the resolution interface will
appear. Then click HD/SD based on your need.
2.3.2 Change Password
Operation: Please click 'Change Password' on the main menu interface.
And type in the relevant information. And then click 'Done' and the
password will be changed successfully.
Note:
a)Default password: admin
b)Please keep the password within 15 letters and avoid using special
characters such as #, *, &, =.

c)If the APP always indicates 'Wrong password'. Please kindly follow the
following steps to re-enter the camera's password.
Operation:
Come to the camera list interface and click the 'Edit' -' icon' - ' icon' -
'reenter the camera's new password' - 'Done'.
Note: If your password is correct, the password can not be modified after
clicking the setting icon.
Operation:
Step1: Press the camera's reset button for 10 seconds. Then come to
the camera list interface and delete the original UID via clicking the 'Edit'
icon. And the following interface will show.
If you forget the password of the camera or it shows an error 'Wrong
Password', please follow the steps to solve the problems.
2.3.3 Forget camera password or 'Wrong password'

Step 2. Set Up Alarm Setting
Operation: please kindly click ‘Action with Alarm’. And move the icon
to the right side to activate the functions you want to have. And
click ‘Back’ and the setting will be saved.
Note:
a) Alarm Notification:push notification to phone (text only, without
pictures or videos attached).
b) Alarm SD REC: motion-triggered video recording stored on the SD
card preinstalled in the camera.
c) E-mail Alarm with Pictures: sending motion-triggered snapshot of
moving items to your email account.
d) Save Snapshots on FTP Server: saving motion-triggered snapshots on
your FTP Server.
e) Save Video on FTP Server: saving motion-triggered video on your
FTP Server.
f) Snapshot Number: the default snapshot number is 1. You can choose
from 1/2/3 based on your need.

Step3: Then reconfigure the camera same as the 1.6 Pair the Camera with
Your Phone (Page 07). Or you can refer to the video instruction:

Step2: Please kindly click theicon, and click 'Sure' when the pop-out
page indicate 'Are you sure you want to delete the camera?'.
2.3.4 Set Up Motion Detection & Email Alert
Step 1. Activate Motion Detection Function
Operation: please kindly click ‘Alarm Setting’ on the main menu
interface. And move the icon to the right side to activate the motion
detection function. And then choose a sensitivity level
(Low/Medium/High) based on your need. And click ‘Back’ and the setting
will be saved.
Note: The camera is very sensitive to the lightning change. In order to
avoid false motion detection report, the medium sensitivity level is
recommended.

a)SMTP server :
❶Please make sure the POP and IMAP of your email account have been
enabled.
To enable POP/IMAP, please follow the operation below:
After logging in your gmail account, click 'Settings' – 'Forwarding and
POP/IMAP'– Enable POP & IMAP as picture shows.

Step 3. Set Up Email Alert
Before operation, please make sure you have activated the 'Motion
Detection Function' and the 'E-mail Alarm with Pictures Function' as the
following pictures show:
Operation: Please click 'Email Setting' on the main menu interface. And
then insert the relevant information in the pop-out page. Then click 'Test'
to check whether the email setting works. After confirming the email
setting working, click 'Save' and the setting will be successful.
And the email alert will be as follows:

Step3, And the ip address will show as follows.
Step2, PING the smtp.gmail.com
❸And also, if you use a gmail account, you need to get an app
password.from the account.
To get an app password, please follow the operation below:
Step1, Go to 'settings' and click 'Help', and then search 'App Passwords',
it'll show as follows. And then select 'Sign in using Passwords'.

❷Then get the SMTP Server information from the email account you
want to use as 'Sender'. And if you use a gmail account as 'Sender', the
smtp server should be 'smtp.gmail.com'. And if this smtp server doesn't
work when you test it, you can follow the steps to get an ip address for the
SMTP Server on your computer.
Step1, Press simultaneously the Windows and R keys on your keyboard
and the Run window is displayed immediately.

Step2, Next, go to 2-Step Verification page to set up 2-step-Verification.
You might have to sign in to your Google Account. Select 'Get started'.
Follow the step-by-step setup process.

Step3, Click 'Select device' and choose the device you're using.
Select 'Generate'. Follow the instructions to enter the App password (the
16 character code in the yellow bar) on your device. Select 'Done'.
Step4, Then you get an app password, which you can use as the email
password on CamHi Email Setting Page.
b) User Name: the email address you use as 'Sender’
c) Password: the password of your email address. For Gmail, you need to
use the app password (please refer to the Step3). As for Yahoo and other
emails, you have to get the app password from your email too.
d) Send To: the email address you want to use as a receiver of the alert
e) Sender: the same as the email address you insert in 'User Name’
f) Subject: the name you want to use as the title of the email alert. If the
subject can not be saved, please kindly change it to another subject and
try to save again until it is saved successfully.
g) Sometimes even the ‘Test’ result indicates as ‘Test Failed’, the setting
is in fact working. If you confirm that all the settings are correct, but still
can not get the test successful, please kindly check the ‘Sender’ email
account to see whether it sends out testing mail to the receiver email
account. If yes, you can go directly to click on ‘Save’. And the Email
Setting is successful then.

2.3.5 Set Up APP Alert Push
Operation:
Step 1. Enable APP Alarm function on the APP:
Go to the main interface, click 'Alarm Setting' to enable 'Motion
Detection.
And then go to 'Action with Alarm' to enable 'Alarm Notifications'.
And the APP Alert function will work then.
Step 2. Check APP Alert Push:
When there is motion detected, there will be alert push to your phone as
the following image shows.
Note: The APP alert is in text only. No pitures nor videos.
2.3.6 Record Schedule
Operation: Please click 'Record Schedule' on the main menu interface.
And then modify the record settings based on your need and click 'Done'
to save the settings.
Note: IF you want to set up a specific recording schedule, please open
your computer and use the PC Client to manage that.
Operation: Please click 'Audio Setting' on the main menu interface. Your
camera will choose Line in/Mic as its transmission method automatically.
Please do not change the default transmission method. You can modify
the setting of Input Volume/Output Volume based on you need. Simply
press on the icon and move it to the left/right side to get the volume
you want. Then click 'Back' and the setting will be saved.
Note: Please set both the Input Volume and Output Volume of 'Line In'
and 'Mic' to 100 to get the good audio function.
