Sideburner Assembly Instructions

1. Align holes on Sideburner Base (6) with slots on Side
Supports (11), and secure with 4 carriage bolts (DV), 4 star
washers (MR) and 4 wing nuts (DZ). Figure 2.
2. Attach the Electrode Assembly (8) underneath the
Sideburner Base with 1 carriage bolt (DW) and 1wing nut
(DZ). Figure 3.
3. Position Valve Bracket in Control Knob Recess as shown in
Figure 4.
4. Rotate bracket as shown in Figure 5 until bracket tabs snap
into notches on each side of Control Knob Recess as shown
in Figure 6.
5. Press the Control Knob (40) onto the Sideburner valve stem.
6. Thread the Sideburner (36) into the Sideburner Base.

7. Place the Sideburner Stud into the Sideburner electrode
bracket and secure with one wing nut (DZ). Figure 8.
8. Position the Sideburner Tube over the Sideburner Valve
Orifice. Figure 9.
IMPORTAN]2 The orifice must be visible through the air
opening in the sideburner tube,
9. Attach one end of the Sideburner Electrode wire to the
sideburner electrode. Figure 8, Attach the other end of the
wire to the side post of the Push Button Igniter. Figure 10.
10. Snap Push Button Igniter into Control Panel (25). Figure 10.
NOTE:Since you are snapping Igniter into Control Panel
now, you may disregard the sentence instructing you to do
so in step 3d of the grill assembly manual.
11. Test the sidebumer electrode after you have also connected
the main burner electrode wire in step 3d of the Grill
Assembly manual. Press the Push Button Igniter and see if a
spark appears at the sideburner electrode tip. If a spark
does not appear:
Check the wire connection to the Igniter.
Check the wire connection to the sideburner electrode.
12. Set the Sideburner Trivet (41) on the sideburner base,
matching tabs to the slots. Figure 11.
