HOT DRY Option

COOL DRY Option
Heater is off for the entire drying period. Saves energy. Note: Ifyou wish to shorten drying time and save energy, turn
the centre] knob to "OFF" at the beginning of the dry cycle and open the dishwasher door slightly. Use of a rinse agent
will speed your drying and reduce spotting. The best drying results are obtained with hot water.

Before Operating Your Dishwasher
Please read your Automatic Dishwashing Guide. It contains
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION for the safety of those
operating your dishwasher. It also contains many suggestions
for obtaining the best results from you dishwasher.
What Your Dishwasher Needs To Do Dts Job
oWater temperature should be 140°F (60°C).
o Water pressure should be between 15 and 120 pounds per
square inch.
• Fresh detergent for automatic dishwasher. Use granular
detergent for best results.
o Proper connections to water and electricity.
• Rinse agent dispenser filled to reduce spotting and speed
drying. (Refill dispenser at least once a month.)
Loading the Dishwasher
Proper loading contributes to good washing results. See your
Automatic Dishwashing Guide for complete instructions and
loading examples.
o Scrape away excess food, bones, pits, etc.
o When loadingdishware into the rack, remember the follow-
ing:
oLoad plastic items ("Dishwasher Safe") in upper rack only.
o Place glasses in rows between prongs, not over prongs.
o Silverware should be loaded so pieces do not nest together
or protrude through openings in the basket.
Dishes should not interferewith turning or extending parts
of the spray system.
o Load with soiled surfaces facing inward.
o Items should be placed so water can drain freely.
How to Add aDish During a Cycle
t.To be certain the added item iswashed and rinsed, make
sure there is a full wash cycle yet to be completed.
2.Unlatch the door to stop the cycle. Wait for the water action
to stop before opening.
3.Open the door and add the dish.
4.Close and latch the door. The cycle wilt resume automati-
cally.
Detergent Dispenser

Fill detergent cups #1 and #3. Rotate lidcounterclockwise.
Fill detergent cups #2 and #4. Cups #1 and #3 should be
covered. UGHT WASH Cycme
Filldetergent cups #1 and #3. Rotate lidcounterclockwise.
Cups #1 and #3 should be covered. Cups #2 and #4 do not
require filling.

• For a small amount of water to remain in the bottom of the
tub.
To hear some sounds while your dishwasher is running:
The fill valve opening or closing.
o Water e_tering the dishwasher.
o Timer clicking as it advances.
- Water being pumped out during drain.
o Detergent cup opening.
•Pump motor starting.
o Double drain at the end of last rinse.
