You may also turn o the freezer by pressing ^ button until
the display reads “10°F (-12°C)”. With the display at 10°F
(-12°C), press ^ three (3) more times within two (2) seconds.

Temperature Setting
The desired temperature inside the freezer can be set
using the ^and v buttons on the control panel, located
on the door of the freezer. Press either the ^or v buttons
to change the temperature setting to one which suits your
needs. The range of settings is -10°F to 10°F ( -23ºC to
-12ºC ) (See Figures 1 and 2).

WARNING
The freezer still has electrical power while in “0FF”
mode. Disconnect freezer from the outlet before
cleaning or moving it.

Temperature display can be toggled between ºF and ºC by
pressing the Fº/Cº button.
Quick Freeze
Quick Freeze enables the compressor to run continuously to
help cool large quantities of warm (room temperature) foods
faster. Always cool down hot foods to room temperature
before placing them in the freezer. Use this feature just prior
to adding large quantities of unfrozen foods (not to exceed
three pounds per cubic foot of freezer space). For example,
do not place more than 45 pounds of room temperature
food into a 15 cubic foot freezer.
To activate the Quick Freeze feature, push the Quick
Freeze button. The control panel will beep once and the
display will now read “-F-” and the Quick Freeze LED
illuminates indicating that the Quick Freeze cycle has
begun (See Figure 4).
The word “0FF” will scroll across the display continuously.
The freezer can be turned ON by pressing vthree (3) times
within two (2) seconds. Continue by setting the control to
the desired temperature.
The freezer will not cool anything while it is in “0FF” mode.
The door light will continue to operate while in “0FF” mode
(See Figure 3).

For your convenience, Quick Freeze will automatically turn
o after a period of 72 hours and the freezer will return
to the previous temperature setting. You may deactivate
Quick Freeze at any time by pressing the Quick Freeze
button. The display will return to displaying the last
temperature setting.
Control Lockout
This feature prevents someone from accidentally changing
the temperature and quick freeze settings. To activate the
control lockout, press and hold the Control Lock button for
three (3) seconds. “LO” (see Figure 5) will be displayed for
one second indicating that the control panel is locked, and
the Control Lock LED will illuminate. “LO” will be displayed
if any button is pressed. To cancel Control Lockout, press
and hold the Control Lock button for three (3) seconds.
When the lockout is cancelled, “UL” (see Figure 6) will
display for one (1) second, and then show the current
temperature setting. The Control Lock LED will extinguish.

Sabbath Mode
Sabbath mode provides the ability to disable all lights
and other electrical activity from occurring with the
exception of the compressor, which continues to operate
automatically. Sabbath mode is enabled or cancelled
pressing the Control Lock and Fº/Cº buttons at the same
time and holding for three seconds. When enabled, “Sb”
will be displayed continuously. When cancelled, the current
temperature setting will be displayed and all functions
resume normal operation.
Manual Defrost
Manual defrost will force the freezer to enter an immediate
defrost cycle. The mode can be enabled or cancelled by
holding down the Alarm Reset and Quick Freeze buttons
simultaneously for ve (5) seconds. When active, “dE” is
displayed. After thirty minutes, the cycle will complete and
the freezer will display the current temperature setting and
resume normal operation.

Temperature Alarm
If the cabinet temperature rises to a level above 23ºF
(-5ºC), the “Hi Temp” display indicator will illuminate. If
the temperature stays above 23ºF (-5ºC) for more than one
hour, a high temperature alarm will also be activated. The
control panel will beep every three (3) seconds. You may
stop the beep by pressing the Alarm Reset button. The Hi
Temp display indicator will continue to be displayed until
the problem is determined, corrected and temperature
once again drops to a level below 23ºF (-5ºC). During
the high temperature condition, the display will show the
actual internal temperature until the set temperature is
once again reached. The display will then show only the
set temperature.

Door Ajar Alarm
The door alarm will activate if the door is open for more
than ve (5) minutes. There will be an audible beep every
three (3) seconds and the “Door Ajar” indicator will
illuminate. Press the Alarm Reset button to turn the audible
alarm (beep) o. The “Door Ajar” indicator will remain on
until the door is closed. If the door remains open, audible
alarm will sound again after ve (5) minutes. If the door
remains open for 15 minutes, the interior light will shut o.

ALARM FUNCTION TABLE
Except during power loss, the alarm indicators illuminate
whenever there is an alarm status.
Power Failure
When power to the freezer is restored after the occurrence
of a power failure, the “Power Loss” LED will
be illuminated.
If the internal temperature of the freezer has risen to
a temperature greater than 23ºF (-5ºC), the “Hi Temp”
display indicator will also be illuminated and there will be
an audible beep every three (3) seconds. Press the Alarm
Reset button to turn the audible alarm (beep) o.
If this condition persists, the “Duration” indicator will
also be illuminated and the display will show how many
hours (up to a period of 36) the internal temperature has
been above 23ºF (-5ºC). Food quality is considered to be
impaired at temperatures greater than 23ºF (-5ºC). It is left
to the user’s discretion to decide how to best manage the
contents within the freezer.

System Error Alarms
If “E7”, “E8”, or “E9” are shown on the display every half
second and the control panel beeps every ve seconds,
call service repair to correct the problem. Press the Alarm
Reset button to turn the audible alarm (beep) o. Until
changes are made, freezer will continue to run.
