PARTS AND FEATURES
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read and familiarize yourself with all operating instructions before attempting to use
the appliance.
2. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. Supervise children to ensure they do not play
with the appliance.
3. As all cooking times vary do not leave the appliance unattended while switched on.
4. HOT SURFACES! Cooking surfaces become very hot during appliance use. Cooking surfaces
remain hot after use until the appliance is turned o and surfaces have time to cool down.
Always use an oven glove or cloth when handling. Use the handles provided and do not touch
heating surfaces.
5. Always disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Wipe clean only –
DO NOT immerse unit, plug or cord in water.
6. Always allow the appliance to cool down before storage or cleaning.
7. Always ensure that the drip tray is in place before use. Remove and empty the drip tray before
storing the unit.
8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Take the appliance to a qualied
electrical repair center for inspection and possible repair.
9. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
10. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
11. Do not cover or line the appliance with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the appliance.

curtains, draperies and walls.
13. Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
14. Never let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

16. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
17. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
18. This product is designed for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY!
Short Power Cord Instructions
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. This appliance is equipped with a short power-supply
cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords orextension cords are available and may be used if
care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance cord.
2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it
can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

WARNING
• ALWAYS make sure control knob is in the 0 (o) position
• UNPLUG Griddle from the electric outlet before cleaning.
• DO NOT immerse Griddle in water or any other liquid.
CAUTION : Never use the griddle without the drip tray inserted.
Ensure that the tray is cleaned out before each session of griddle use.
Do not use griddle if the tray is full of drippings.
• For best results always pre-heat the griddle before use. To pre-heat, plug in the empty
griddle, turn the control dial to the desired temperature setting, and allow the griddle
to heat up for three to four minutes.
• After the pre-heat period, place food on the griddle. Check regularly to see how the food
is cooking.
• When the food is fully cooked remove it carefully from the griddle with a spatula or
plastic/wood utensil designed for use on non-stick surfaces.
• Immediately after use unplug the griddle and allow it to cool suciently before cleaning
and storage. Always be sure to remove and clean the drip tray.
GETTING THE BEST RESULTS FROM YOUR NO-FAT GRIDDLE
The griddle non-stick surface is designed to cook using only the natural oils and fats contained
within the food—no extra fat has to be added. In addition, during cooking much of the fat
contained within the food is removed and will be collected in the drip tray, making the food
healthier than if fried or grilled using additional oils or fats.
Best results are obtained when cooking foods containing some natural fats; for example,
all types of meat and sh, burgers and other meat products. Other types of food can also be
cooked including vegetables and sandwiches.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before rst use or after long periods of non-use wipe the griddle heating plate with a damp
cloth to ensure that it is clean.
• Ensure that the drip tray is inserted into place before turning the temperature control to
a heat setting.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
• Ensure that the griddle is unplugged and cool before attempting to clean it.
• Never use a scouring pad or abrasive cleaner as they will damage both plastic and metal parts.
• The drip tray may be washed in hot soapy water.
• Use a spatula or plastic/wood utensil designed for use with non-stick surfaces to scrape o
any excess food adhering to the heating plate. A wet non-abrasive sponge or paper towel can
be used to rub o stubborn patches. Dry the non-stick heating plate thoroughly using a paper
towel.
• Clean the handles and temperature control with a moistened paper towel or soft cloth.
• Dry thoroughly before further griddle use.
NOTE: All other servicing should be performed by a qualied service technician.
