INSTALLATION MANUAL
KENWOOD Music Editor manages music library on your PC.
It also transfers songs to a USB device for playing on Kenwood car audio.
1Required Operating Environment
The following software and hardware are required to use the KENWOOD Music Editor (referred
to as "this program" hereafter).
Operating System
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional/Home Edition SP2 or later (32-bit version)
Microsoft® Windows® Vista™ (32-bit version)
Operation on Windows XP/Vista (64-bit version) is not guaranteed.
Other programs
Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0
QuickTime 7 or later (when using AAC file)
Windows Media® Player 10/11
Hardware
System requirements that above OS recommends.
Hard disk with at least 100MB free space
CD-ROM drive (CD-R/RW drive when writing to CD-R/RW)
USB interface (2.0/1.1)
NOTE
Administrator privilege is necessary to install this program on Windows XP or Vista. Be sure to login as user
with administrator privilege (such as Administrator).
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 can be installed with this software. You need internet connection environment in
order to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
QuickTime 7 or later can be downloaded from Apple's web site.

2Installing
Install this program on your PC according to the following procedure.
NOTE
Quit all applications before installing.•
Procedure
1Set the KENWOOD Music Editor install
disc on your PC.
The installation program will start
automatically.
2Select the desired language and click
[OK].
3Click [Yes], and install Microsoft .NET
Framework according to the guidance
shown on the screen.
This screen will not be shown when
Microsoft .NET Framework has been
installed. Pass to the step 4.
4Click [Next].

5Then follow the instructions displayed
on the screen.
6Click [Install].
Installation starts.
7 Click [Finish].
NOTE
Adobe Reader is necessary to read the user manual for this program.
Adobe Reader is not installed together with this program.
