1. SAFE USAGE
※
Illustrative signs used on the product and in the handling instructions are as follows:
This sign means“Care is needed”because there are possibilities that danger may occur under certain conditions.
This sign means“Prohibited”because there are possibilities that danger may occur under certain conditions.
Please always keep in mind that Brush Cutter is a machinery that uses sharp blades and gasoline,
which is an inflammable matter. Use it with care.
For safe usage, the notations are divided into“Warning”and“Caution”depending on the level
of danger involved. Their meanings are as follows:
In order to prevent accidents that can happen easily while using or handling the Brush Cutter, and also for work
safety, the Safety Instructions are divided into the sections of Clothing, Environment, Fire hazards, Pre-operation
stages, Operational stages and Postoperation stages. These warnings and cautionary instructions for safety cannot
cover all possible situations or conditions that can happen. Therefore, scrupulous cares are needed when operating
or storing the product. Please read completely and understand. And be careful so that accident does not occur.

5
Wear clothing that is suitable for work.
■Wear slip resistant safety shoes.
■Wear gloves when working.
■Tie long hairs above shoulders.
■Do not wear hanging down clothes, neckties,
scarves, or ribbons.
Working with unsuitable clothing can become a
cause of accident by slipping, getting burned, or
getting caught in the machine while working.
Do not use the tool in indoors or where
ventilation is poor.
■Toxic emission gas can cause suffocation.
■ ENVIRONMENT
Do not use when it is raining.
■Can receive electric shock and can cause an
accident by slipping
Do not use when unable to operate the product
normally due to alcohol, drug or anything else.
■It can causes a safety accident.

6
Do not open the fuel tank cap or refuel while
the engine is running or when the engine is
hot.
■It can cause fire or burn.
■ Fire Hazard
Remove rocks, wires, cans, etc. from the
working area.
■Obstructing objects can cause injuries.
■ Pre-operation stages
Inspect the safety cover and always use with
the safety cover attached.
■If used without the safety cover being attached
or used with a cracked or malfunctioning safety
cover, foreign objects such as rocks can shoot
out and cause injuries.
Do not smoke or make a bonfire near the
Brush Cutter.
■It can cause a fire.

7
Absolutely do not use when there is something
wrong with blade.
■If used when there is something wrong with blade
such as being nicked, cracked or bent, it can cause
death or injury. If there is something wrong with
blade, always replace with a new one.
If the way the blade is assembled looks not
right, do not use the equipment
■After the blade is assembled, turn it with hand. If
there is wobble or strange noise, it can cause an
accident through vibration when it rotates. When
there is something wrong, always reassemble and
verify before using.
Before turning on, always adjust the throttle
lever to low speed (L). Only after that, turn it on.
■If the lever is at high speed, the blade starts rotating
abruptly and can cause an accidents.
Grab the Brush Cutter securely so that it won’t
move and make sure that the blade is not
touching the ground, and then, turn it on.
■If the blade touches the ground, it can break off or
shoot out and cause an accidents.
Low speed
Check tightness of each part before using.
■If used with loosened parts or without some parts, the
product can be damaged or cause injuries.
Ground

8
While working, do not allow any animal or
person to approach within 15 meters radius.
■Rotating blade or foreign object can shoot out
and cause injuries.
Use the blade for designated uses only.
■Number 3, 4 and 5 blades are only for cutting
grass and thus, should not be used for wrong
uses such as cutting trees, etc.
■ Environment
Do not turn the adjusting screw on the
carburetor.
■It can make the blade start rotating abruptly and
cause an accidents.
adjusting nut
over 15meters
When working on a hill or a sloping ground,
make sure to maintain the balance and work
with stable posture.
■Working from unstable posture can cause slipping or
falling and can cause an accident.

9
Be careful not to come into contact with high-
tension wires or with spark plug area while
operating the equipment.
■It can cause an electric shock.
The old and the weak or children should not
use.
■Unskilled use can become a cause for an
accident.
Do not work near steel wires or vines.
■Steel wires or vines can be tangled up or shoot
out and cause an accident.
Do not allow any part of body or clothing to
touch the blade while operating.
■The sharp blade rotates in high speed and can
inflict serious injury.

10
If fuel is spilled, wipe it off thoroughly.
■Spilled fuel can stain clothing or cause a fire.
■ Pre-operation stages
Start the engine at least 3 meters away from
the place where you refueled or where you
store fuel.
■Because of heat or the sparks generated by the
engine, fire can be ignited.
If there is any abnormal vibration while
operating, stop the engine immediately.
■It can cause a breakdown of the machinery or
can cause an accidents.
CAUTION
When stopping the work or moving to another
location, make sure to stop the engine and be
careful not to allow the blade to touch your
body.
■In case the blade rotates due to malfunction or
bumps into body, it can cause an accidents.
■ Post Operation Stages
Stop

11
■ Post-operation Stages
When the Brush Cutter is not used while
resting, etc, stop the engine and put it down in
horizontal position.
■In case fuel gets leaked out, it can cause a fire.
When inspecting, do it after stopping the
engine and separating the spark plug cap from
the plug.
■False start can cause an accidents.
Do not operate with only one hand.
■Unstable manipulation can cause an accidents.
Do not touch the engine until it cools down
■There are many parts that radiate large amount
of heat such as muffler, etc. These parts remain
hot even after the engine is turned off and can
cause burns.

12
When storing for a long-term(more than 20
days), always drain fuel before storing.
■If stored with fuel undrained, it will become
difficult to start the next time due to the settled
deposits in fuel passages.
When storing for a long-term, clean each part
and apply thin coat of oil on metal parts.
■Rust can make the product inoperable or
degrade its performances.
Observe the mixture ratio of the fuel.
■Observe the mixture ratio of 20~25 parts of
Gasoline to 1 part of 2-cycle engine oil. Too
much oil causes smoky exhaust fume and
degrade the output power. Too little oil can
damage the engine due to excessive heat.
